On arrival we were greeted warmly, and we were explained we can order at the counter and then have the food brought to our table, or we can sit down, take a look at the menu and then go up to the front counter and order. We chose to sit at the table first. When the waiter brought us our waters and asked us if we had any questions my wife (who is from Japan) asked if the owners were Japanese and indeed this is a Japanese family owned restaurant. We decided to order the Curry Set which came with an Original Ramen with Egg, a Mini Chicken Curry and small cucumber salad. We also ordered the Korokke and we would share it all. The food came quickly. The Ramen was very good, I found it a bit light tasting and the owners explained they make their ramen a bit less oily and salty than traditional because it's healthier. I think it's a good idea, but if you want stronger, richer flavor maybe order the Tonkotsu Ramen which should have a richer Pork Bone broth. The Chicken Curry was very tasty. Very nice Japanese sticky rice, and the Korokke were delicious. Crisp outside and soft inside. Staff were very friendly and the food and service were great with reasonable prices. 10/10 would eat here again. I wish this place was closer to us here in Ontario.

They have a large lunch special board and seem to cater to that crowd. We, however came during dinner time. There was a ample seating in this pleasant restaurant with a friendly welcome from the staff. We ordered two family plates and three green teas. The family plates were anemically small an order of TWO plates would feed a family of four with younger children (the cost? $150 before tax). The sushi itself was fresh and prepared with care and quality typical of an all-you-can-eat style in other towns. The yakisoba noodles were delicious and seasoned with peanut sauce. However the tempura came with only one vegetable (yams) and our teas took twenty minutes. Moral of this story:. Take out lunch specials people! Do not dine in for dinner.

If we wanted a restaurant, we should go to the next town. But, we found this restaurant looking around town. We were greeted promptly by the staff when we arrived and they were very attentive throughout, although, they brought all our food at once instead of apps first and then mains. The menu online boasts a huge variety of rolls, sushi, sashimi and, strangely, Ramen. The restaurant is quite run down, the chipped wall corners and Amazon adornments, along with a dirty floor, give the place a worn out look. Given the reviews, and being in NB on a business trip and craving sushi, I was lulled into not judging a book by its cover. I was wrong. I ordered Ramen (Should have gone to Momo on Queen). It came with a prepared salad that I would be embarrassed to serve. A small pot of watered down green tea accompanied the dish as well. The Ramen had an over boiled egg, flavorless broth, and the grilled pork was not belly meat, it was an over boiled sliced of pork, also flavorless. I make a point to grab Ramen wherever I go in my travels, and this dish ranks at the absolute bottom of my list. I would never order from this place again.

My grandmother tried to take me out for supper here about a week ago, and we were greeted by the most rude and off putting group of staff I have ever encountered. A few of the girls I recognized from high school, just as rude and mean as ever. To start off, we had a reservation for 5:30, traffic was really bad and I knew we were going to be a few minutes late. I called around 5:15 to give them a heads up we were going to be 5-10 minutes late in which I got an extremely sassy reply from the girl on the phone telling me she "guesses that's okay." We only ended up being 5 minutes late, when we arrived the girl with the piercing on her cheek told us in a very snarky way that because we were late that we would have one hour to eat and then we would have to leave so they could give the table to someone else. Mind you there were only two tables occupied inside and 3 occupied outside. A family member from the states had prepaid for our dinner in American dollars, which was mentioned on the phone when the reservation was made. When my grandmother brought this up, she also simply asked how the restaurants exchange rate worked and if she didn't spend the full amount that was paid toward the dinner if she would get that money or if it would be kept for the next time. The girl tending to us didn't know and went over to the rest of the girls to ask them. They stood and huddled and talked for like 5 minutes before the girl came back and said she didn't know and that's out of her pay grade. My grandmother was confused and asked her question again to which miss Tori looked over and shouted across the restaurant that they don't accept American cash. We then re-explained that our dinner was prepaid and my grandmother just has a simple question about how the exchange rate worked with the payment method. Another girl then said that they didn't do that sort of thing there and that she didn't know what we were taking about. Another one then scoffed "fucking Americans." First of all, we are not even American, and that was just unnecessary. I also stated when I walked in that I am a type 1 diabetic and that my sugars were low. I asked if I could please have a glass of orange juice and stressed that it was urgent to which they replied they couldn't do that until we were sat and had ordered. They said they couldn't help us and that maybe we should go somewhere else. So we did just that. Shoutout to the STMR for amazing portions of food for the price and great service (they gave me orange juice immediately) Apparently my dad and his buddies went here a few months back and got food poisoning from shit tasting clams. It's really a shame because it's a beautiful restaurant and the menu genuinely sounds amazing. I was really looking forward to it, but sadly do not recommend!
