This place satisfied our cravings and we were pleasantly surprised to find great, authentic Northern Chinese dishes here. We had the braised beef noodles, vegetable dumplings, and Chinese crepe. The noodles were thick and the broth was super hearty, the dumplings were crisp with a good thin wrap, and the crepe was also very well done. Be prepared to wait a bit or call ahead if you know what you want. Service was friendly. The dining room is pretty basic but there are cute touches like Chinese art and a shelf of board games.

I was one of their first customers when they opened! The…read moreway you'd price sushi in Japan, speaking from experience, is far more money than $1:1 piece... therefore, this place is actually priced well. The rice is also flavoured, as it should be (several places do not season it with sugar/vinegar, as is the proper way -- this place does). This is the main place we buy sushi from -- no where else compares, except Park Noodle.

On arrival we were greeted warmly, and we were explained we can order at the counter and then have the food brought to our table, or we can sit down, take a look at the menu and then go up to the front counter and order. We chose to sit at the table first. When the waiter brought us our waters and asked us if we had any questions my wife (who is from Japan) asked if the owners were Japanese and indeed this is a Japanese family owned restaurant. We decided to order the Curry Set which came with an Original Ramen with Egg, a Mini Chicken Curry and small cucumber salad. We also ordered the Korokke and we would share it all. The food came quickly. The Ramen was very good, I found it a bit light tasting and the owners explained they make their ramen a bit less oily and salty than traditional because it's healthier. I think it's a good idea, but if you want stronger, richer flavor maybe order the Tonkotsu Ramen which should have a richer Pork Bone broth. The Chicken Curry was very tasty. Very nice Japanese sticky rice, and the Korokke were delicious. Crisp outside and soft inside. Staff were very friendly and the food and service were great with reasonable prices. 10/10 would eat here again. I wish this place was closer to us here in Ontario.

My curry full of seasoning. I asked for 1.5 spoonful of spice and it was enough to cause the sweats. The white sticky rice on both dishes was steamed to perfection. The portions were more than adequate, and the price was decent. Cons: they are really are no negatives that I can comment other than the limited seating which others have noted. They have a large lunch special board and seem to cater to that crowd. We, however came during dinner time. There was a ample seating in this pleasant restaurant with a friendly welcome from the staff. We ordered two family plates and three green teas. The family plates were anemically small an order of TWO plates would feed a family of four with younger children (the cost? $150 before tax). The sushi itself was fresh and prepared with care and quality typical of an all-you-can-eat style in other towns. The yakisoba noodles were delicious and seasoned with peanut sauce. However the tempura came with only one vegetable (yams) and our teas took twenty minutes. Moral of this story:. Take out lunch specials people! Do not dine in for dinner.

We were greeted promptly by the staff when we arrived and they were very attentive throughout, although, they brought all our food at once instead of apps first and then mains. The menu online boasts a huge variety of rolls, sushi, sashimi and, strangely, Ramen. The restaurant is quite run down, the chipped wall corners and Amazon adornments, along with a dirty floor, give the place a worn out look. Given the reviews, and being in NB on a business trip and craving sushi, I was lulled into not judging a book by its cover. I was wrong. I ordered Ramen (Should have gone to Momo on Queen). It came with a prepared salad that I would be embarrassed to serve. A small pot of watered down green tea accompanied the dish as well. The Ramen had an over boiled egg, flavorless broth, and the grilled pork was not belly meat, it was an over boiled sliced of pork, also flavorless. I make a point to grab Ramen wherever I go in my travels, and this dish ranks at the absolute bottom of my list. I would never order from this place again.
