Had lunch with my friends for our first meal in Fredericton. 3 of us had the noodle bowl which is essentially Bun in Vietnamese. I had the bun with tofu as my protein and added the spring roll for the extra 3 dollars. Overall I liked the homemade deep friend firm tofu. The sauce for the tofu was a bit salty but aside from that the bowl was a great mix of vegetables, peanuts, rice noodles. On appearance the bun with the chicken looked better than mine. For $15 lunch I recommend coming here. They have a decent selection of local beer, non alcoholic beverages. Service was friendly and fast. read more

It really is a nice little place tucked in a corner. However, besides the outdated decor, the food is also only average. I feel the soup and noodles were great but the meat is really lacking in quality. The rare beef or beef brisket seems way over cooked in their soup. What a treat to have some authentic pho, though a bit mild. Adding the lemongrass Tom Yum gives some spice but I think you could use the Level 3 or Saracha (level 4) hot sauce in the broth to achieve the same. For a main, I had the Creamy Coconut Pad Thai (with tofu) because the waitress recommended it on my first few visits. It was certainly quite good, but I think I prefer their traditional Street Pad Thai if I'm in the mood for Pad Thai. And, for the price, I'd like to see a bit more veggies in the dishes. Well it's been awhile since my last review, and I figured because I've been there a number off times since then, I thought I would update you all. As you may have noticed I've dropped my stars down to 3. I wish you could give half stars because I would have given it a 3.5. Now the reason for the slight drop is due to the size of their portions, they have cut back quite a bit. The quality is just as good as it used to be,just less of it. Now considering the price is on a bit of the pricey side (aprx $16 per serving) I think this cutback could hurt them, I know I won't be visiting as much as I used to. They should also consider that they now have some competition aka Thai Express located in the mall. Their prices are $6 cheaper, double the size and excellent flavor. So in closing if the owners are reading this, please consider boosting your sizes up to what they were. And for everyone else, you should still give this establishment a try, you will love the food, just don't go starved. read more

My dad and I had a nice meal here. The young man who waited on us was great. I was very happy to see they had a gluten free menu, a vegan menu, as well as lots of Thai dishes. I love Thai but didn't feel like it that night. I will go back for a curry. Dad had Vietnamese Pho with rare beef and I had Wok noodles with tofu. He enjoyed the Pho, and my noodles were good but did not have a lot of flavor. We started with fresh salad rolls which are one of my favorite things. These rolls were lacking the fresh salad part. It was simply rice noodles, lettuce and the rice wrap. Usually they have fresh mint and other vegetables that give them flavor and crunch. The price is a bit high for what you get. We paid $50, including the tip, for our meals and green tea. But food in Fredericton seems to be overpriced in general from what I've come across lately. read more

The cook was nice enough to explain to me how spicy I like my own food as well... even argued with me about what was marked on the take out dishes that were sitting in front of me at my house. Best part had to be the hang up in my ear while I was talking. Save yourself the $50 and go to Pad thai. read more

I absolutely love the the rare beef Pho here, once you dress it up with the chili oil it's quite possibly one of the tastiest soups I've ever had. It's not perfectly traditional, but on a chilly day it certainly makes for a great meal. I've had a few other things like their street pad thai and creamy pad thais which were also great. Their appetizers are really good too. The service is quite prompt and friendly, although during times when they're extremely busy you might have to ask twice for something. Prices are reasonable (unlike some who complain here). It's not often you and your wife can go out and bring a toddler and come in under $60.00, this place delivers that experience every time. read more

I've been here twice. The decor in the front of the house is nice but they have some tacky screens and plastic sheeting up near the kitchen and I'm not sure what to think of that. I had pho (a type of vietnamese noodle soup) both times and both times were tasty. The food is presented beautifully. I found it lacked a bit of flavor compared to others phos I've had elsewhere and was told that it may be because they don't use MSG. This may be a plus for some people. Spring rolls were awesome as well as the fried wontons. Ordered beef pad thai and beef chow mein which tasted burnt as well had burnt spots on the beef and vegetables. The fried noodles tasted good without the chow mein on it. Pad Thai was supposed to be a hot dish but was nowhere near hot. I may give it a second try but was very disappointed for the price of it.
