Close to Moab, that is about it. Stayed here for 3 nights, small lots, non existent shower room maintenance. Not cheap, overall plan better and stay at one of the state properties. These guys are in business because of their location. It pretty much sucked! read more

I'm truly not a picky person when it comes to camping. In this case you get exactly what you pay for. I was always taught that "If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all." I'll just leave it at that. read more

This place is just plain disgusting, dirty and not well kept at all. Bathrooms and showers are the filthiest I have ever been in. They smell, are moldy, shower curtains are dirty and stink like they have never, ever been changed. We stayed in a cabin where mold was growing out of the swamp cooler, bugs were crawling all over, the grounds were littered with broken glass, trash, bottle caps and other debris. The fire pit had a dirty diaper I. It and the BBQ grill had a ton of cigarette butts I. It along with other stuff. The mattresses were covered with plastic and dirty and soiled. The entire place was dirty, dusty litter everywhere and should be shut down. I have all kinds of bug bites on my body from the room. I. Would not recommend staying there as there is zero pride of ownership and no regard for any sort of cleanliness whatsoever. I could go on and on and on but hopefully you will get the gist and make your own decision. Mother health department should shut them down. read more

Staff was great. Couple miles outside town is the first drag but we were thankful to get a spot. Overgrown trees is how I'll remember this campground. You are going to scrape your roof here no matter how careful you are. And you're not going to get satellite. Oh and those huge speed bumps have to go read more

Terrible.....stay far away from this place. Made reservations 2 months ago. Got to the park at 2:30 pm and waited about 20 minutes to check in which could be expected for Memorial Day weekend. Finally got to the counter and proceeded to pay and the attendant (Katie?) Informed me that there would be a special event surcharge for the holiday weekend. Can you say "fleece"? I said fine, whatever, what else are you going to do when there is not another place available but be held hostage to these unscrupulous business practices. Anyway, Katie proceeded to try to justify the charge and I said I don't care. I just wanted to pay for the fleecing and be my way. BIG Mistake. In this case the customer has no rights. She threw my credit card down on the counter and said I was not going to stay there. Even though they already took my money. This place has no idea of what customer service is and they don't care. Canyonlands RV hooked us up with the help of the Moab police department. STAY AWAY if at all possible. read more

I'll pass on this one!!! We had reservations and arrived a day early so I went in to see if we could get a spot. I walked past an empty pool and hot tubs the size of a thimble ( that's why they have two) Upon entering the camp store the strong smell of cat urine about knocked me out. Flag number 3. I was told they were cleaning the pool due to a wind storm earlier and it would reopen the next day along with the hot tubs. I had promised my kids they would be able to swim that night but there was no way I would ever let them near that pool it was stained and looked disgusting. I kindly asked them to cancel my reservation and I would be on my way. They told me there was no way I would find a place they could swim because there was a storm on its way and they were the cheapest around... There's a reason for that. We went down the street to the next campground it was clean the pool open and great! read more

I wouldn't even gives this campground 1 star if it would let me write a review without it. We have been camping all over the US. We have camped in all 50 states, some several times. This is the worst campground we have ever been to. The bathrooms are dirty, the cabins are dirty and falling apart. You can feel the air coming out from under the door and can't hardly open the door. There is no water by any of the cabins. The pool was closed the first day we were here by the health department. read more

I'm only giving this place one star because I have to in order to make a review... Ummm don't stay here! I made reservations and when I showed up they said I made them for the same date but for the following month. I asked for covered camping and got an open camp spot. Tight spots to fit in, filthy grill and table, woman's bathroom out of order, men's 3 stalls were backed up with shit! Showers were disgusting. The entire place looked like "the hills have eyes" we slept in our car and got the hell out of there when we woke up!! Someone needs to have some pride and either take care of this place or burn it down! Oh the internet kind of worked read more

This is an RV and camp site located very close to the Moab National Park and to the Moab downtown. The rates are cheap. They have decent sized spots available and a hot tub area, showers and restrooms, but unfortunately the confirmed reservation with a sheltered spot and location was not what was given when checking into this place. They instead gave an unsheltered spot and could not even give the specific spot they confirmed online or another comparable sheltered spot. While the host at the front counter tried to be helpful, they were not only unable to issue refunds, but seemed untrained and unprepared for this type of situation in attaining another spot. All available spots were made for large RVs camping with electricity and water, none of which was needed nor having any shelter and were not comparable to the sheltered spot that was confirmed. The sheltered spot was more expensive and nothing was done to make any reimbursement and there seemed to have been many available and empty plus it was also raining fairly hard. Unfortunately the only person allowed to issue a refund was unavailable until the next day and you must return in person. We ended up not staying. Overall, it was a difficult situation and not a good experience. read more

RUN AWAY TILL YOU CAN! Me and my boyfriend stayed here because had no other choice for two nights (all the campgrounds in Moab were walk-ins and full) when visiting Canyonlands and Arches in June 2015. Had a small tent and true all we needed was to get some sleep and definitely shower off the dust and sand from Arches. This was the worst place I have ever stayed at in my entire life! Ironically there was a sign in front of the showers "If this facility is not stocked or needs cleaning please let us know at the office". The showers were disgusting. It was not yesterday's dirt, but probably all the filth from the previous season. So we showered in our one pair of flip lops we had. There were no paper towels and few toilet paper rolls in some stalls. Walked to the management office and unwillingly paid $34 for our tent site for one night - what a rip off. Spoke up about the nasty showers and was told that their housekeeper was going to clean them. The other night at midnight after one hour hunt of a campsite we could not find a place to stay so we ended up at Slickrock again. I wondered if they cleaned the showers. I found out the next morning: they did not touch them at all! Went to the office and talked to the same woman (and again paid $34 for the night). She started arguing with me that the showers were cleaned yesterday morning. I quit after the woman started yelling at me that she was the manager of this place and the showers were cleaned! Poor management, absolutely no customer service skills, lying and charging high fees for sleeping on the ground. Plus health risk facility. Would love to add photos, but there is no option to download them. My advice: sleep in your car for free if Slickrock is the only choice you have left. Book a campground in Arches more than 10months in advance otherwise you are doomed to leftovers - a place like this is always empty. read more

We had booked 3 nights but only stayed 1. Horrible. horrible is what I have to say. We booked their largest sight 60 foot. You could only use half of it cause the back half was a hill with knee high weeds and thousands of ant hills. The pool and hot tubs was so dirty I did not even get in them. Staff which I believe was the owner was rude. When we were checking in. Rude when I asked about overflow parking for extra vehicle since half of our sight was unusable . Would not recommend. Nor ever stay again. When we left half the park was empty and we had a difficult time finding another rv park as they were all full. So I guess that says it all in a nut shell . read more

The camp hosts while nice, and VERY accommodating are almost to nice and to accommodating. They won't just leave you alone and let you enjoy your trip with your family. Despite having the campground empty they insist on putting all of the visitors on one side of the campground cramped. If you want to sleep in till 7:30 forget about it. Construction on the other side of the wall starts at 7:00. Workers also throw their cigarette butts over the wall and onto all of your stuff. The other side of the campground is like the Wild West. There's permanent residents living over there and I would not recommend walking around alone. Upon check In we were told that they had to close the pool this week but someone was coming to fix it and it should be back up and running by Monday. That never happened. After reading more reviews we found that the pool had actually been closed for 5 months. There are better places to stay at the same price. Don't waste your time. read more

A good campground. Spaces a little tight, a little expensive. We booked as a group (five sites) two months in advance. Verified two weeks in advance. We were told we would be "close". Two of us were together, one one row back, one two rows back & one at the other end of the park. I never used the showers, but the building looked ok & no smells from it or the bathrooms. Pool & area was clean. No open fires allowed. We were able to move closer as some people left, but this involved tear down & set up again. Pet area is advertised as enclosed. This may have been true at one time, but not presently. The employees were cheerful and willing to help, check in was quickly accomplished. The park was clean, and employees kept up the pet area as most of the owners didn't pick up after their critters. Lots of cottonwood trees, so be prepared for a lot of fluff, but great shade. read more

Many years ago this was the best camping in Moab. Tragically, it has deteriorated into the worst campground I have ever known. No maintenance, wretchedly filthy bathrooms, disgustingly tiny cramped sites. Over-priced, poor service. Avoid this place. You'll be glad you did. read more

Paid for three nights after first night I couldn't take it no more. The dust and dirt that smell like dog poo, which made it hard to sit and eat outside at night. The picnic tables had spider Web and eggs underneath them. Seems like hadnt washed those table ever. They would not give refund for the two nights, I haven't stay. Leaving was worth the 100 .00 bucks I lost. read more

We stayed in a travel trailer so I didn't inspect the bathrooms. About the dog poop people don't clean up after their pets! you will find that everywhere! Staff was laid back offered ideas on what to do and the best places and prices for shopping. This information really bumped up the fun we had on our trip. Had the best shade trees and overall price per night. down side the cottonwood trees were blooming and blowing the fuzz around but it's camping. Just ask to look at the campsite before you pay. they let us do that and we picked a site that we were very happy with. we would stay again. read more

I did a month rental I was on top of the campers next to me. I couldn't go out and enjoy the out door unless I want to do it with the people next to me , and I was last there so! And it dirt so when it rains it gets a little muddy! Over all for 600.00 a month there's better places! read more

"What a dump"! Those were the first words from my wife when we drove in. Regardless, I wanted to give our cabin rental a chance. After opening the door, we saw that the cabin hadn't been cleaned and garbage was overflowing onto the floor. Management politely moved us to the adjoining cabin. We walked in and looked at each other, "What is that stink? Mold? Mildew? We opened windows and hoped for the best. That night I visited the bathroom for a shower. Imagine a bathroom built during the 1960's with 22 coats of paint. The sink was more like a steel horse trough with no edges to set down toothbrush or shaving gear. After one night, we decided to find lodging elsewhere. The room stink never went away. As expected, Slickrock campground enforced their NO REFUNDS policy. Never again! There appear to be nicer well populated campgrounds in the area. Avoid Slickrock! read more

We reserved our tent site about month in advance. When I reserved it mentioned a few black out dates but did not mention the week we would be staying there. I read every thing to make sure we would not have any extra charges. We got the confimation email and after the deposit it said we would be charged $35 more for the balance. I printed the confirmation off so I would have it if needed. When we arrived I went to check in and when I went to pay the deposit they were now charging me $58 instead of $35. I showed them the email but they said it didn't matter because it was a black out date. I said that when I registered it did not say that and even if it did it should reflect that in my confirmation email or I should have been emailed with the change. Since every where else was booked we had no choice but to stay. We also didn't want to lose our deposit. My husband went to talk to them and they wouldn't really listen so he asked for the owner's number to which they gave him a card. We called the number which got us back to the front office. When he calmly tried to talk to Anita she hung up on him. He called back and got Morgan who gave us an email for the owners after we asked several times. We wrote an email and sent it hoping to get the problem resolved but the email was not valid. We are super frustrated and it wasn't how we wanted to start our trip. As for the facilities, every thing is close together. The trash bins are not on the map so we ended up right next to one which if I had known I would have done a different site. The bathrooms need some fixing. Out of the 5 toilet stalls only 2 would lock. This is an easy cheap fix I could do so there is no reason it isn't fixed. Only 3 out of the 5 showers locked too. It could have done with a little more thorough cleaning too. Next time I will be camping else where because they were underhanded with the prices. read more

I would not recommend this place based on a few things which (as a paying customer) I would consider unacceptable. First thing, upon checking in I was informed that the rate would be $10 more per night due to the town having some sort of event, even though I booked months in advance and already paid based on the rates online. Second, the front-desk staff (that's about all you could call them) were completely uninterested in the fact that I am a paying customer, and lack any sort of customer service skills. Third ( I'll lump these all together) There is trash all around the property that needs picking up. There is no toilet paper or paper towels in the bathroom, nor are there locks on the stall doors. The cold water handle in the mens room is broken, resulting in the use of hot water only. (However the shower lacks "Hot" water, and is lukewarm at best). The showers are tiny and not very clean. And lastly, there is no lid on the dump-station causing the sewer smell to waft through the RV-park depending on which way the wind is blowing. This place is a DUMP! Never again will I pay $60/night, nor recommend anyone stay here. The only thing this place has going for it is the nice old shade-trees. It's too bad, because this location could be a really nice place if they would put some of the overpriced rates they are raking in to good use, to clean this place up. It makes you give at least one star, but they are not really worthy of even that. Shade trees might be worth the one star. read more

This place was great! We had a cabin, it could sleep 4 so we divided the bill and it was very reasonable. Showers were included, no coin slots. The bathrooms were large enough to accommodate everyone and there was no waiting. The showers and toilets were clean and functioned well. There was plenty of hot water. The cabins had very well functioning swamp coolers for air conditioning. The mattresses were comfortable and covered with plastic meaning they could be wiped down well and I knew I wasn't sleeping on anyone else's body fluids. There was a fire pit and picnic per site. The swimming pool was clean and I was told by the owner the hot tubs were drained and water replaced daily. I will certainly return to this campground. read more

This campground should only be booked as a last resort. Between the infestation of caterpillars, the cotton blowing like snow from the trees, stinky moldy smelling bathrooms, basically sharing a common area with the site next to you I would not recommend this site to anyone. We checked in, drove to our site and there was already someone in it. When we went back to the desk we were given the choice of 2 sites to pick from. The girl said to just call when we decided which one we liked better. After we chose one I called (I called twice, no answer so my kids walked up and told her which one). We set up our camp then drove in to town for some shopping and dinner. An hour later I received a call from the front desk basically saying the site we were in was reserved the 2nd night we were going to be there and we had to move. I NEVER would have picked that site had I been told we would have to move after one night. the girl was rude, un-apologetic and basically told us we would have to move or they would refund us our money and we could find another campground. We called around to find somewhere else and they were all full. We had no choice but to move. The one bright spot was one of the gentleman that worked there came around on a golf cart and handed my husband and I a beer to "take the edge off" after hearing the whole situation and how unhappy we were. We also learned later that the original site we were assigned (that was occupied) was someone that had never officially checked-in and had been there for days without paying. The whole situation was infuriating and put a damper on our weekend of fun and relaxation. It is almost as if the staff knows they are cheaper than other sites and can treat their campers like crap because they know their choices are limited. We were not offered a refund of any kind or any form of compensation (besides the beers, lol.) and were treated horribly. Again, do NOT book this site unless other campgrounds are completely sold out. read more

We made reservations over 2 months in advance of our arrival date. We had a group with 6 sites reserved (12 people) and we all asked when reservations were made to place us near each other. We all received confirmation emails, (separately) with a price per night, deposit made & assigned site #. When we arrived, the sites we were assigned were full, & we were spread out throughout the park. We were told that our reservations did not state, "do not move, leave in assigned site." None of us were able to make reservations on line, and we all called in our reservation separately, within a few days of each other, and verbally told the staff we wanted sites near our friends. This did not happen. Similar experience as Josh M (review 10/9/16) with the pricing. The guy at the front desk gave us the price we were given in our confirmation email, & said the discount he gave (vs the increased price he should have charged) would be deducted from his salary. We are self contained, so we did not use the bathrooms. Small sites...we were close to our neighbors. I would not recommend this RV park, as it is very poorly run. read more

I am a bit of a germaphobe, so when I read some of the negative reviews about how dirty the facilities were I got a bit freaked out. I really don't like using public restrooms in general, but I found the ones at this site not too bad. They were cleaner than what I was expecting from reading the other reviews online. We camped on Mother's day weekend, so there were a TON of caterpillars everywhere, and I mean everywhere. They climbed every surface including us. They were annoying, but harmless, and certainly better than dealing with mosquitoes which at this time were not out, thankfully. It was really shady, which is nice. The kids enjoyed playing on the playground for a bit, but I guess my biggest complaint is that it was super crowded, and there is no room for the kids to go. There is your tent, then the road....so if you have young kids, it is not ideal. Thankfully, we didn't spend a ton of time at the site, so it wasn't a huge deal. But it would have been nice to relax a little in the evening and not worry about the kids and traffic. For future trips, I think we will look for a site that has a little more room for the kids to roam. read more

We are a handicap couple who stopped here just before sunset because we were tired from driving all day and in some sever pain. They were not upfront about the spot we picked, we picked it in a hurry and paid full pop on hookups that we were unable to hook up to. The manager was immature, screaming at us and throwing temper fit when we challenge her about her management skills, we did not use bad language nor did we threaten her in any way. She was defensive when we confronted her. She gave us our money back and told us to leave. She blamed all of the problems on her previous guests including not marking the electrical boxes that were burned up. She said previous guests took off the warning tape on all the these spots, and there were many of them. She also blamed the fire from the fire-pits on the guests too. Looking at some of her responses to the blogs on trip adviser, there was a lot of blame there too. read more
