Do NOT get the balding man with the mask. I've been going for a few months now and i've gotten a couple different nail techs- this time, I went in to just get a mani pedi with gel polish on my natural nail. My toes were fine. He cut my cuticle a little short and my toes were tender in the hot water for a second, but I thought little of it. Then he goes to do my finger nails, does them slow as all get out, and sloppily does my polish. My thumb, he put way too much polish on and in turn this took much much longer to cure, and when it did it was bubbly and flooding my cuticle, as pictured. I normally try to tip anyways even when i don't love my nails to try and be nice. This was one of the only times I have not left a tip at all. Do not come here. Told there wasn't a wait and arrived at 325, sat down and they removed my nails. Then had to wait until 445 and still no one had touched my nails since they had been taken off. The nail artists thought they could do 2 at a time and could not. So I walked out of the salon with jacked up nails. read more

Came in to get my nails done , paid 45 , nail broke everyday and even after I went in to get the third nail fixed , I tipped 15 because I was appreciative of The service but now I'm on nail Number eight and they caught an attitude with me bc it hasn't even been a week and all my nails Have broken except for 2 , they were done thin and it's unfortunate that the person who did them Realized that and instead of giving me a hard time , they should have been done over. This salon is a hidden gem. It may not be the most trendy, but it's a nail salon and it got the job done! He workers were friendly and had many walls of polished to choose from. My pedicure was one of the best I've had in a while. With a wax dip for my feet, and a leg massage with a machine, I was relaxed and so comfortable the entire time. I really hadn't intended to go back but they are close to home. first time, one nail fell off within 2 days. yes, the replaced it but charged me. not happy. second time, I paid $60 for a set plus $10 tip. another $60 for a pedicure plus a $20 tip. $150 total! my nails look less than...product stuck under and all around cuticles. toenails are unbelievably bad. read more

I downloaded yelp so I could review this business specifically. The customer service at Sun Nails is beyond comparison and the employees are so kind and funny. When I went in today, there was an elderly woman having her nails painted and all of the employees were telling her how pretty the color she chose was, and how cute she was and someone even walked her out to her car. Things like this- especially in this climate of uncertainty we are ALL facing is very refreshing. It was very nice to be greeted and surrounded by such compassionate people. The measures they are taking as a business to clean, sanitize and provide a safe distance between customers and employees is also something that is clearly taken very seriously here. You will feel safe and calm from the moment you walk in until you leave. Lastly, the nails I had put on themselves were also beautifully done- probably some of the best I've had in my life. Wanted a spontaneous pedicure and found this little gem:) the wait time was minimal and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The massage chairs were comfy and the pedicure was great. I got a standard pedicure and it still included a foot scrub, massage and hot wax. For only $35 I thought it was a great value. Only prob was I didn't get what I asked for exactly, there was a misunderstanding. I'm sure they would've fixed it but I was in a hurry and it looked nice. I'll definitely go back. I'd been going to Sun Nails on and off for over ten years to treat myself to manicures and had always had outstanding service. However, I will no longer be a customer after a recent experience of a poor quality Dipped Manicure. They normally last at least four weeks or more and this one began breaking one by one within the first week. I'm not as upset over the manicure as much as I am the poor attitudes of the employees. The customer service when going in to simply ask for repairs on them (three times within three weeks) was rude and very uncomfortable. They acted as though I was breaking the nails on purpose and in all honesty the last thing I wanted to do was go spend any more time in their salon. It was an inconvenience to have to keep going back for repairs. They not only charged me for the third repair but also made me wait forty minutes before even beginning to soak the broken nail off. I was in their salon the third time for almost an hour on a repair that took about 10 minutes. The only positive thing I can say is that Daisy is one of the sweetest employees there. The others could take a lesson or two from her on customer service. read more

My feet after the pedicure feel amazing. They dip your feet in warm wax multiple times and when they peal it off my feet feel instantly softer and relaxed. They also put different message treatments on your legs and wrap them in a warm scented moist towel that make my legs feel new and refreshed. The staff is very professional and the salon is clean with up to date equipment and new, high-back massage chairs. Their shellac designs are the best in louisville with a wide variety of color choices. Sun nails has an amazing atmosphere with nail techs that interact and know their customers by name. Horrible! This was the worst manicure and pedicure I've ever had. My nails were filed in a diagonal shape and some were jagged. I had to go home and fix them myself. The pedicure wasn't much better.The guy was ridiculously slow and kept trying to watch the tv while doing my nails. The polish was sloppy.
