Didn't bother to shape them, just filed off the points where she clipped, I had to come back in because I was rushed out before the polish was dry and they smeared. I typically paint my own toenails, but this weekend I needed a treat. Obviously I performed a Yelp search for nail salons, targeting those within walking distance of my house. All 4 Nails popped up as a strong contender - close to home AND good reviews. I walked over mid-morning on a Saturday. There were several clients already enjoying various nail services, but I didn't have a wait at all. A lovely lady directed me to the polish wall and demonstrated a significant amount of patience while I took my time selecting the perfect color. My pedicure included: massage chair, warm foot soak (with plastic-lined tub so you know it's clean), foot scrub and moisturization, foot and lower leg massage followed by warm towels, nail and cuticle trimming, polish, and excellent conversation. My technician was very kind and curious, and had an uncanny knack for keeping the conversation flowing in a natural manner. Also, my nails and feet look AMAZING. The salon is clean with plenty of stations; they provide packaged snacks and bottled water for sustenance during pampering. The massage chair was glorious. Payment options include cash, check, and Venmo; it's easy to leave a tip as each technician has their own Venmo QR code, separate from the salon code. Although I will likely continue to paint my own toenails most of the time, I will absolutely return to All 4 Nails when I'm in need of a little luxury. Or a good conversation. read more

Years later and this is still my favorite place in town for nails. I usually go for a pedicure, especially in the summer. I am fine doing my own in the winter, but come sandal season I like my feet to be professionally polished. This time though I wanted amazing looking fingernails. I sprung for the gel manicure at a friend's recommendation and I have not been disappointed. It looks amazing! Even if you live a little ways away, this place is worth the drive. read more

I went this salon on a recommendation from Next Door. Not knowing what to expect. My salon closed due to COVID. The interior is clean and decorated tasteful. Not gaudy ... the staff were very friendly and took extra care of me, even when the salon began to fill up. The salon clientele was nice mixture of professionals, housewives and retirees. The prices were very fair!!! They only take cash or Venmo. No cards. I recommend an appointment especially on Saturday. I was lucky I was a walk in. I WILL BE BACK. !!! read more

This is by far the best spot in St. Matthews. I've been coming here since I moved back to Lou in 2018. It's clean and the staff is amazing ! The owners Ken and Val are incredible. I was looking for a nail salon close by while my husband visited someone in the hospital Didn't really care for the way I was treated. Scolded for saying I asked for manicure and not full set. And didn't care for when the inexperienced technician asked about my hair, which was unnecessary in my opinion. The technician filed my nails so short and left the old nails on. She was going to put polish on nubs. I asked if she was going to put the longer nails on and she asked if I wanted the full set. I said yes. She got mad and told the other guy who was experienced and he told me to sit in his chair. I am sure they talked about me in their language. Then he told me I said the wrong thing. Clarification would've helped the issue but there wasn't any. I will not be going back. Looks like they cater to "certain clientele" even though the shop didn't look high end. They also don't accept credit cards. Cash or pay through Venmo app. They have a teller machine inside the shop which looked tacky. read more

I almost got up and left because I was so appalled. It was DISGUSTING. Do not go here!! I went back after the 3 days to get them fixed, and it was the same guy that had fungus and messed them up!!! The gentlemen doing my nails had long ones himself and was actually scratching me whilst giving me the "leg massage" ...mind you I'm sure some of the other technicians are better but everyone should be up to standards in a place of business. Walk-ins are greeted as nice as people with appointments. Ken, the owner, will bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need.
