It's a chop shop. I can't believe I was duped, I'm so upset. After all the money I've spent there over the last year a half..... it was f****** MMA the entire time.... I always get the same acrylic so that's how I know it was MMA the ENTIRE year and half..... absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable that the salon can't do the bare minimum of ordering safe supplies when they charge an arm and an leg for everything. Beyond that, 2 fills ago my nail tech got distracted talking while drilling my nails and cut me all the way through my nail, to my nail bed, and I was bleeding. When I pointed it out all I got was a "whoops", acetone poured on it (which hurt really bad), and then the service continued. This was a problem on its own, but then to learn that MMA was directly exposed to my bloodstream.... Absolutely unacceptable. Also was everything sterilized before the next person after my blood got on it? It didn't seem like any of the tools were being treated any differently. I'm disgusted with myself that I didn't spot this sooner. I'm never going back. Stay away. read more

Owner is nice as can be and is super customer service driven. Employees... can't say much nice. Not only are they rude and talk about you, your feet, your color of choice etc but they rush through the pedicure or just get up in the middle of your service and go do misc things while you have hot towels on your legs and don't bother washing their hands. I've had my nails cut so short I end up with ingrown toenails more times than I'd like to admit. The prices just aren't worth what you get anymore. Can't say I'll be back and definitely can't recommend to anyone. All the original employees have essentially left for unknown reasons but they were why we came here. The owner is the only reason we keep returning hoping for a better outcome but after a butchered pedi and my moms toe being cut AGAIN I can't say I'll ever be back willingly. I went there the other day and asked for acrylics and the overall salon was nice it was very clean and everyone had individual desks which I liked instead of having them all cramped in one big long table, so that was nice. The place was very pretty and everyone was very nice. My nails in the other hand I was very disappointed I asked for square nails and half of them are crooked they are not squared they are more rounded at the ends and the tips are wider which makes them look like triangles and I really hate that. At one point I asked the guy doing my nails if he could file down one of the sides because it was crooked and he barely did anything, he did not fix it. He put way too much gel on them which made them bubbly and chunky and did not really do what I asked. I it was a pleasant experience but the quality of my nails was not worth it. UPDATE: I recently had a great pedi there with my fiancé, but when it came time for my shellac mani - it was a huge mistake. I can not believe I paid $35 + tip for a sloppy shellac mani sure that felt rushed. The lines weren't clean, my cuticles look worse and are peeling now, and there were some spots in the paint that were kinda sheer - a sign of a rushed and uneven application. It chipped in TWO DAYS!! It hasn't even been a week and one nail peeled off. I was extra careful to not pick at anything and be mindful of my nails because I never get shellac and wanted it to last but here we are. SO disappointed, usually love this salon. Will never get a mani from them ever again. ORIGINAL REVIEW: My mom is a loyal customer here and whenever I can go with her when I'm in town we do. They are generous with their massage time and even on a basic pedicure they spend time to do it right and you never leave with a sloppy outline or messy polish. Dirty. I'm sorry but it's the truth. The place smelled of cigarette smoke. I could tell nothing had been wiped down when I sat down for my mani. There was no hand washing with the tech when she bounced from person to person. The tools she used didn't look clean. This was only the second time I've had the dip done so maybe I don't know but should your fingers go into a community dip? I thought it was sprinkled on. Q Nails does a great job and I'm happy to have been a customer for over six years. The basic pedicure includes a hot stone rub which is amazing. If you want the extra moisture and exfoliation go for the spa version. The pedicure bowls have plastic liners and they have plexiglass up at manicure stations in addition to masks being required for staff and guests during this COVID time. I love that they always know my BFF and I come in together usually and will ask about the other person if we go alone. It's not always the fastest place, which can make wait times longer than you want them to be on weekends, but I'd say just don't go when you're in a rush OR just go on a weekday. I chose Q Nails today because two of my friends frequent the salon often. I was told the prices were great & the service was even better. They weren't wrong about the prices. You can get a mani + pedi for just $35. That's a steal! I personally went with just a manicure with shellac, which cost $25. Go anywhere else in town, & typically it's more than that. The salon seemed clean. My visit was downhill from there. I will admit, it took me forever to pick out my color. But the man that would be doing my nails was clearly highly annoyed by that. I jokingly sat down & said, "sorry, I'm such a girl, just couldn't decide!" Nothing else from there. The only thing he said to me while I was sitting there was "go was your hands". I didn't know where the sink was, I'd never been there before. So it was a little awkward looking around for a sink. & he just kept tugging on my hands & putting them where he needed them, & just rolling his eyes... rather than asking me to do what he needed. I've been going to Q Nails for over a year now, and I see Alice every time. She does a wonderful job and pays extra attention to your nails. It takes about an hour for me to get a Shellac manicure and it's only $25 - a price you can't beat. They will be raising prices starting January 1 - shellac will now be $30. But to me, it's worth it. Alice is THE best I've been to in a very long time and my Shellac normally lasts 2-3 weeks depending on nail growth. They also have OPI gel which I love. You won't regret trying Q Nails! read more

I really wanted to love Q-Nails, primarily because they advertised a $30 mani-pedi combo. Just before a recent wedding, I decided to book an appointment to get a pedicure ($22) and check the place out. The good: walk-ins are welcome. I walked in the day I got my nails done and was seen immediately. The nail tech was prompt and friendly. The hot stone massage felt AMAZING! (Included without the "deluxe" pedicure). My pedicure lasted for weeks. I didn't like the ambience; the salon was cluttered (kids' toys littered the pedicure area) and I thought the decoration could be improved, even with just a new color of paint. The Soap Operas on the large screen TV's were distracting, the volume was too high, and I don't think anyone was even watching them. All in all, not bad for the money if I just need your nails done and want something cheap, but I didn't absolutely love it. If I'm looking for a relaxing spa-like experience, I'll head somewhere else. read more

I did not enjoy myself. The technician I had was very off-putting. He was reluctant to remove the acrylic from my nails and replace it with shellac. He was very rough with me from there - yanking my arm, shoving one of my hands out the way for another, just completely absurd. At one point, he tore my skin off with the nail drill (it stings). He was in such a rush to remove the acrylic from my nail, that he over clipped my actual thumb nail, and now it looks stupid. He also clipped pieces of my cuticles even though I specifically said I didn't want them cut! I'm so frustrated and tired of paying for crap service. I'll be going back to Venetian. read more

It was easy to get an appointment, and they had a wide variety of services and colors to offer.

I booked an appointment at 2 pm, my mani pedi was started at 2:40. I was happy and felt they did a good job. While the technician was putting the to coat on my nails, the polish was stringy. I thought it was odd. Soon after I got bubbles in the polish and eventually they were on all my nails. Made an appt online stating my nails needed to be repolished due to bubbles.....the owner looked at my nails and said sit here, soon a tech without saying one word came and looked at my nails removed the polish and quickly repainted them, not a word the entire time, went to the dryer and...... bubbles started appearing. I looks up at the tech that painted them and she had a smirk on her face. I just smiled and left. They did not charge for the repolish, but I had already wasted enough time for a $20 manicure that would never look right. Take your chances.....I've never had this happen before. read more

This was my first time visiting Q nails since I'm from LA California. I came to KY to visit for my nephew's birthday. I've been a fan of acrylic nails with gel because it's a little cheaper in Cali ($30) to do those because it's popular and has so many choices of shops to go to. So let's go back to Q nails, I was surprised when the lady said it will cost me $45, I'm like Oookay I'll just do the regular then. :) The other lady was so nice, she made it feels like their shop is welcoming but the girl assisting me is kinda like not enthusiastic to see a customer hehe. She did OK on my nails and too short. Also, maybe I wasn't new on acrylic nails so I can tell which is better. So overall, the shop is OK. You just gotta let them know what's wrong and say things nicely so the problem will be addressed properly. Lastly, I gave a decent tip. My bill was $27 dollars and paid $20 tip as a token of my appreciation to the other lady who gave good customer service. But the girl who assisted me seems not happy at all LOL ooh well :) read more

On my most recent visit, I splurged for the $35 spa pedicure. The exfoliating scrub was nice and all - but the real draw was the calf and foot massage and the clay mask. Totally worth the extra $7 or whatever it was. A week later, my nails still look great. The staff is really friendly and attentive. I don't think you can beat it for the price. The massage chairs are almost comedically aggressive, so if that is your favorite part of a pedicure, you might be disappointed. Personally, I found it amusing. As an added bonus, they are located right by Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen - you know, if you need to sit somewhere and "let your nails dry a bit more" before you head home. read more

I went to get a gel manicure from Kelly on my lunch break based on a recommendation from a co-worker, and I'm glad I did. She was friendly, fast, and did a great job. I don't often pamper myself with manicures but the experience was so relaxing, I wanted to fall asleep in the chair. My nails turned out beautiful, too. I kind of envisioned a navy polish with a silver glitter ring finger, but they didn't have quite a navy blue, so I just went with all silver glitter, and it turned out beautiful.
