This is what I asked for and she could not do it.

Do not go here, waited 30 minutes to be serviced only to be told that the artist could not do a basic French tip and that I should go somewhere else. Will never recommend or go back. The style I wanted couldn't have been more simple.

Service is always a 10. I've only been here maybe 6 or 7 times but I can tell they really care about their customers and the experience they are providing. Very reasonably priced services, which is so rare these days.

LOVED this place, Lee took really good care of me. She was patient and kind and really good at what she does. She was meticulous and took her time to make sure everything was perfect. She checked in with me numerous times to make sure I was doing ok and nothing was hurting (she was removing a pair of acrylics that were horrendous from the last place i went). I cant wait to come back. Everyone was so friendly.

The staff at Nail Spa is like family. This is the only place we go! Clean, friendly, new pedicure chairs.

They really take their time with each person and the massage included in the pedicure is incredible-long and relaxing.

Just been upset all afternoon/evening and didn't want to even discuss how bad it is. Had to take…read morethe rest of the day to stop crying being upset that this even went down. "Tommy" cut all my toenails off so short that when he's filing them it's just scraping the meat off the tops of my toes which are already tender from being cut so close. He cut my pinky toenail on my left foot completely off- and had to put an acrylic nail on it. The right one is so short it looks stupid. The polish on a couple of toes aren't even covering the nail so it looks crazy. Then Vincent does the 3D flowers and starts gaslighting me saying Tommy told him I came in with my nails that short which is a damn lie and tells me he knows it's too hard for me to understand... like I'm so stupid and so uneducated that I can't comprehend what's going on- that he simply needs to file my toenails square and they'll look better. I have none left so what are you shaping. No he butchered my toes and did a wild job with the paint and rhinestones. The tops of my toes hurt and it's HOURS later. Nothing close to what I asked for... This is for my birthday festivities and now I'm just crying and my toes hurt... what heels am I wearing? I'm not. What outfit is an outfit without the shoes to tie it together? Ruined me. The whole weekend is ruined. Then to add insult to injury I have to pay for this and he's trying to force me to take a gift card. No. I'm never coming back. Just take it. No. You want to gift me something?? REFUND ME!!!! Yes I spoke up before during and after and was gaslighted through the entire process. Lying and saying I came in with my toenails cut like that and you can even now hours later still see the indents of where my toenails were long. You can see the meat and skin under the nail was cut too close then sanded multiple times even when I asked for it to not happen anymore cause it hurts. He (Tommy) didn't even rinse my legs or feet off so I was covered with scrub etc and it just been sitting on me- then Vincent tried to wipe it off- no I need to rinse off. So I had to sit with this crap on me for hours because I had more stuff to do to get ready for the weekends events for my birthday. I tried to be quiet and not let it be known how angry I was and how badly it hurts. I have to say that this was just jacked up and shouldn't ever happen to anyone. And I have real time text receipts on how this whole thing unfolded. So please lie on me again. I will post them. My entire conversation with my daughter as this is happening to me! Timestamps and all. Lie on me again. I say quietly trying not to let them see me cry and fuming. I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried not only a new place for the first time but also getting art on my feet too. So this was just awful and now I have to carry on with my toes hurting for how ever long it takes to heal and pray I don't develop an infection or damn fungus. I'm a plain polish woman and I'm good with it. So for me to have gone and asked for something that should have been special... Yes I'm livid. I waited all evening to come write calmly and see if my feet would feel better. They don't. I have 3 pairs of new shoes I can't wear this weekend. I'm embarrassed and sad and my toes hurt! My daughter even finally reiterated that I didn't like them and that Tommy really cut my nails entirely too short, all Vincent could say is ok I'll make them pretty for you... but only by- shaping them square. Nothing but toe meat my guy you cannot file my toes anymore. Vincent did do a decent job on my daughter's feet but it's nothing like she asked for. I'll add those photos tomorrow when she sends them to me. She's resting and trying to unwind. Yes this was a traumatic experience, even for her. But yeah I'm flabbergasted and can't believe how badly I was gaslit and tried to force me to take a gift card.. give it to a friend- you mean an enemy? Why would I send someone else I care for in here? I messed up by coming here!!!

I'll start with a compliment--after work around 6 o'clock, I was able to get in at this salon…read morewithin about 5 minutes! Unfortunately, I think I may know the reason this shop isn't busier. It's always a red flag for me when a shop showcases OPI nail polish, but doesn't actually offer it. I was in for a gel manicure and a toe polish change (I recently had a pedicure with my normal technician, who is currently out of the country--which is how I ended up here). Granted, the previous polish on my toes was dark (OPI shade Lincoln Park After Dark for my ladies who know); but the nail technician made VERY LITTLE effort to actually remove it. It's going to take a little more than 1 barely-moist cotton poof, so I was subjected to intense scrubbing with subpar results. I had to ask her to remove more of it, to little avail. I have included photos of the previous polish that can still be seen, despite me choosing a bright red that would typically mask any small imperfections. We then moved to the manicure. I was subjected to very uncomfortable pushing of my cuticles with THE NAIL TECHNICIAN'S OWN NAILS. She would eventually get a real tool, but I have never had a professional tech do this! Not even sure that is sanitary. On completion of the manicure, there was poor polish coverage & bubbles around the edges. I had asked for festive nail art (Valentine's Day is around the corner)--it was like pulling teeth to get a decent design. It doesn't look horrible from afar but up close it looks like a child's artwork. I won't be back and will not recommend.

I am changing my rating due to my most recent experience. I went in two and a half weeks ago to…read morereceive a full set of acrylics with regular polish. The customer service was lovely per usual, and my nails initially looked beautiful. Approximately 13 days following the service, I noticed two of my nails separating from my nail bed (this indicates the service was not done properly). After 15 days, I lost two nails. While I greatly appreciate the service, I think it is unlikely I will continue to go to 79 Nails due to this most recent experience. When I pay decent money for a service, I need to know that the nails will be durable. I do not engage in activities that would lead to my nails breaking, and I've never had this concern before.

TLDR: overpriced with bad technique and gummy polish. Don't waste your time or money…read more On a recent free afternoon, I wanted to pamper myself a little bit and also get my cuticles and nails shaped up. I know I've been to Nobu in the past for pedicures (getting a manicure done at a nail salon is a real rarity in my life), but I had never left a review. That usually means that I had a "meh" experience and wanted to give the place another shot before I leave my thoughts. The visit started out promisingly enough, with an easy walk-in appointment. The first red flag was the polish bottle that wouldn't open. It either meant it was old or the polish was too thick (frequently used and not using polish thinner to get it to the right consistency). The cuticle and nail shaping was good, so I will give them props for that. The employee seemed a bit distracted, and I noticed that she did about 5 thick coats of the gummy polish on my thumb, which I thought was odd. Even when I do my own nails, I know to do a thin coat and let it dry before going over again. I wondered if maybe they used a fast-drying top coat like Sèche Vite that would compensate and shrugged it off. I know I've been away for a hot second, but when did the price of regular manicures jump to $23? And $1 processing fee for credit cards on top of that?! I let my nails dry for the recommended time (note that the manicurist did not instruct me to remove my keys from my purse before the polish application, the way that many do). So what happened to my 5 coats of polish as I carefully got my keys out of my purse? I'll let you check out the photo. The other hand didn't touch anything and looked horrible hours later regardless. Nobu is a no-go in my book now.
