I've been coming to this nail salon for the past couple months and I can definitely say this is my go to nail salon now! I love how meticulous Luna is among most staff that I have encountered here. This salon definitely gives off cozy comfy vibes, they're always playing a show on both of their tvs. This time around I had the art design set but was unsure if I should do French tips for the remaining fingers or a solid color. Luna offered her suggestions and we decided French tips, which by the way turned out amazing. I am definitely recommending her and this salon to anyone that asks about my nails.

I would give this place a 3.5 / 5 Christina did my gel manicure and she was really pleasant and bubbly. She was fast & did a great job on my gel manicure. But I'm pretty unhappy with the pricing of this place because I only got a gel manicure with the chrome (basic Haley Bieber nails) & I got charged $60. $40 for gel mani & $20 for the chrome which I thought was pretty expensive for something so basic. I also got a regular pedi for $25 & $5 to remove previous gel pedi. So in total, I paid $90 & $20 in tip. Ambience -- this place was really cute & clean. The decor was girly and creative. I just think that in order to get recurring customers, you have to be more fair with the pricing. The chrome add on should have only been $10, considering how easy it was to do.

Sun Nails - well, staring at these nails makes my day brighter! As a local, I visit two nail salons in the area, and although this was my backup, it has recently become my go-to. I love how they do gel nail polish, paying special attention to the care of your nails, no overfilling or thinning, and gentle removal. The nail design work is lovely. Their pedicures are excellent as well, and you feel pampered. Customer service is impeccable and will leave you wanting to return. In my opinion, the pricing is comparable to other nail salons. The parking lot is small, but street parking is plentiful as well--I have never had an issue. If you want a relaxing, delightful pedi and mani, try Sun Nails!

I can here for the first time to get my nails done for my wedding and they did not disappoint at all! The nails are exactly what I wanted. Rebecca did an amazing job creating the flowers all by hand. I have been to this nail salon twice now and I couldn't see myself going anywhere else. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have a huge selection of polishes to create truly beautiful nail art. Shirley and Han did my nails on this last visit and I am obsessed. They pricing is compatible to most salons and I did pay a little extra for this set but it was well worth it.

the best manicure i think i've ever received! i genuinely used to think i was strange for being stressed out at the nail salon, but this was because the place previously went would rush me, knick my cuticles, and charge over $100 for a gel mani. this was the complete opposite! i was so happy with how my nails came out and that it only came out to $75 total with each nail being something different. calm, relaxing environment, got to watch a mindless netflix show and enjoy myself. i described what i wanted on each nail and she did such a fantastic job. i will absolutely be back and am so in love with my nails! they even gave me a bottle of peach tea after i tipped, so sweet :)

Wonderful salon with impeccable attention to detail by Rebecca. I called and was able to come same day on a Saturday (after my old nail salon closed, waiting on reopening). Rebecca gently removed the existing gel from my nails and patiently waited for me to make up my mind on a new color, trying on the colors for me on her own nails. The result was exactly what I wanted in terms of shape, color, style, and precision. I am a perfectionist (and minimalist) and would give her work 10/10. We did a nude base and gold glitter ombre, perfect for my girly disco Barbie Halloween costume this year. It was the finishing touch. All around an excellent experience, especially on short notice. Wow what a great experience and hidden gem. I've been going to the same nail shop for about 15 years and the last year I've noticed issues with my nails constantly lifting etc... anyway I was looking for a new nail shop and came across this business on Yelp! I decided to give them a try and let me tell you! This will be my New go to place, I only got my nails done, so stand by for an update with pedicure. The inside decor is very cute, very playful and clean. The service was good, lots of color options and not over priced. Because the service was good, my nails look great and the prices are decent plus a clean nail shop that is well maintained I'll be going back. Love! read more

I went here for my first manicure and pedicure and am super happy with how it turned out! I think Eric was the one who did my nails and he was very knowledgable and detailed. I showed him a reference picture of what I wanted and he walked through all the different polishes and glitter it would require + helped me pick what would look best. He was very precise in the detailing and has a good eye for aesthetics and design. They had an entertaining Netflix show playing on one TV and KPOP music videos playing on the other so you won't get bored. They also have 10% off on Sundays when their prices are already super affordable. I will definitely be coming here again any time I need my nails done. read more

Love love love! Tried this spot for the first time, and I loved it! It's very lowkey, and they have a TV for you to watch while you get your nails done (cause we know that can take a while). This place is brand new and I'm very impressed. Super clean, very attentive, takes their time. Only 2 people but the work is great. Make an appointment, though, they focus on perfection and don't rush. I love my nails. I kept vacillating between colors and the girl was so so nice. They have SO many freaking nail stickers it's insane, i wanted them all but settled on two butterflies. Loved the Gel X extensions i got. They're exactly what i wanted. The pedicure was great, too. The place is so clean, huge, beautiful space. The girlies are so so sweet and so amazing work. They're new so take advantage of the 30% off! Also remember to tip well. In the past I have reviewed this place with 5 stars. But the last two times have been disappointing. Many of the people there are highly inexperienced. I had to return and have my gel nails removed as they were peeling after 5 days. Then the polish only (as a replacement to the gel) was equally bad. My cuticles were inconsistent and the polish itself began "lifting" from the tips of my nails. It may be less expensive but there is a reason. If you can insist on "Rebecca" you will definitely get a good manicure or pedicure. read more

I have been coming here for 4 months semi-consistently- I try to keep my designs relatively simple or stay in budget and I have really enjoyed Eric and Rebecca working on my nails (comments on their attention to detail holds true for me) They are a nice salon, maybe more quiet. I block out 2 hours usually to get my nails done. Nothing has lifted less than 3-4 weeks, I am always pretty happy leaving them and happy to show off their work to friends. read more

I've come to Sun Nail religiously each month for GelX nail extensions since they opened a few months ago. I've been to quite a few nail salons over the past few years, and Sun Nail stands out because of their attention to detail. The owner/manager is extremely nice and patient, and you can tell she spends extra time to make sure each nail is perfect before she moves on. She gives me tips on how to maintain my nails for longevity, and she's great at suggesting different ways to do the design. I usually provide a reference picture but give them creative freedom as I trust them fully! It also doesn't hurt that they're right next to UPS so you can get multiple things done with one trip :) read more

So, I have been at this hidden gem for about a year almost, close to it. And let me tell you, I love this place! I was tired of my old nail salon I was with for 5 years and my back up had no atmosphere and didn't do the best work. However, my sister recommended this place and let me tell you, I LOVE IT. Rebecca is very sweet and her team. They will work with you if something is wrong, and always make sure you are happy. Her husband pays amazing attention to detail as well with his work. Love them both! As for quality, proof is in the pics below. I get so many compliments and I almost never have had a broken nail so yes, come here and don't think twice! Just keep in mind, good work takes time and time is needed for designs aka let them do their thing so you get the best out come :) I get Gel X only by the way, was converted from acrylic. read more

Honestly this was the best nail experience I've ever had!! This is my first time coming to Sun Nails, and I will definitely be back! Eric prepped and placed my nails and Rebecca painted them! They both did such an incredible job!! Eric was incredibly meticulous while prepping my nails, really taking care of my cuticles and while placing the gel x continued to check and recheck that each nail was perfectly straight! Rebecca was also extremely precise while painting my nails making sure each nail matched perfectly! I think what I appreciate most was the care and time they put into my nails. They were efficient, but I didn't at all feel rushed!! My nails came out exactly as I wanted and I could not be happier with my experience! read more

Came here because this place has good reviews. I don't get my nails done often but wanted to so I tried them out and had a good experience. The salon is very clean and organized. My nail tech Eric paid a lot of attention to detail and made sure I liked every nail. Because I don't get my nails done often, I don't know typical prices. My Gel X set was $110 (this included multiple designs, metallic polish on 2 nails, gems, and stickers). I tipped $20. They are very quiet but nice. I received a beverage after I tipped. Texted sun nail the night prior to make an appointment before July 4, and they were able to accommodate me. I came in the morning of July 3 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. They did such a great job in the simple design I wanted, just a neutral colored gel with glitter ombré. Newly opened in the UPS-store plaza, Sun nails is my newest go-to for nails in Pasadena. Their prices are very reasonable, but the attention to detail is INSANE. Summer did my nails, and I was so impressed by her meticulousness in every step. The ambience is great; everything is new and decorated so cutely. On the weekend they do a deal where all services are 15% off. The manager is so nice as well. Love this place already!! :) read more

I want to gatekeep this place so badly because it's next to my house and I never have an issue getting in. I've visited twice already and ask for Christina. SHE IS SOOOO GOOD. I don't think I could stop raving about her work. She's super detail oriented and her designs are so adorable. I came in and requested an unknowingly detailed design and she took 2.5 hrs to work on my hands and never got lazy. She's also really gentle when handling my cuticles. I've been cut by so many others but she was always cautious to check if she's hurting me. Her work ethic is amazing. I felt so bad for making her draw for so long but she was so kind about it. I hope Sun Nail realizes what a gem she is!! I will continue to return and tell all my family and friends about this place. Small businesses with amazing staff is always rare! Rebecca did my wedding manicure, and I'm so happy with the results. I showed her a picture that she matched perfectly. If anything, my nails look better than the picture I showed her after. She was so patient and attentive to detail despite the process taking so long. Everyone here was also so nice and accommodating. The salon is beautiful and has a lot of natural light coming in. I was just randomly googling different nails places near me, and this had to be about the second or third time searching google and really getting the feel of the place just from its photography and appearance. Mind you I was browsing first to find air brush, but then I came across some nail inspiration and boom. I found the "one" look I wanted. So just from the nail inspiration I wanted to find a nail place that gave me what I was feeling from the photograph, a meditation zone, a mini vacation, some earthy vibes, a peace of mind. So out of all the places I came across I chose this one, mainly because my baby nephew name is Mason, but then I looked into the website and it felt amazing just from its art , the style of nails. The appearance everything. And randomly walking in and getting paired with "yuki" she was amazing. A friendly host, we chatted a bit, but honestly her vibe was so peaceful you didn't even want to ruin the moment, her silence was peaceful enough. I sat in the middle row so I had views of outside just taking in the city and the scenery, amazing vibes. I would highly recommend trying this place out. Book with "yuki" if you can , to be quite frank everyone in there salon looks they do amazing work. Like any nail technician you get paired with with get the job done. Give it a 5 star . My hard gel lasts about 4-5 weeks without chipping. I schedule appts about 4 weeks apart, so I have yet to see a nail chip. I love that my appts don't take forever and that I've never had to wait longer than 5 mins to be seated for a service. I get gel pedicures with Mandy, she is so gentle and friendly. There's nothing worse than experiencing pain or cringing during a pedicure bc it hurts, that won't happen with Mandy! I love that I can book through Vagaro! The atmosphere is peaceful, clean and classy. I do believe you can truly unwind here! Parking is also a plus.
