They run a nice, clean operation for today's youth to play games, bumper cars and miniature golf. You can get away with not spending as much as you think if you can convince your kids to not play the games as much. That said, they have every arcade game known to mankind. And the prizes, be still my heart, there's not a single one that worth the amount of tickets it takes to get it. That said, the kids LOVE it. I feel so badly for the man behind the prize counter. All of those kids, looking, looking, looking, reevaluating their winning tickets and then looking, looking, looking. When it's all said in done, I'm okay with my 12 year old hanging out here early evening without supervision. Hanging with friends, not alone. As for parents, stay away. Dreadful, all of it. My kids had a lot of fun here for their first visit. There was a good range of activities to chose from for a small town so it was very entertaining for my kids. My only complaint was it is rather expensive especially for a small town. The arcade games are a lot more expensive than Chuckie Cheese in Portland which has similar games to play and in similar ones that I visited in Los Angeles. I've been bowling here a few times. It is super GHETTO and pretty dirty but the staff is nice enough. I've never done anything but bowl because it is a little expensive. I'd rather go to Lava Lanes to bowl but Sun Mountain has longer hours so we usually end up here. read more

Stopped in to give the kiddos something to do while we are in town. Purchased the $16 activity pack ( 2 of them) The kids loved the mini golf and bumper cars . Bowling was fun also , only thing that was kind of a bummer was the $2 game card. There isn't much of anything for $.25 , my daughter used the card on two games and was upset that it was empty. You know what? This was a super good time!!! Golf, bowling, beer, video games...AND they let us use our "super fly super pass" over two days so we could spread the love over Labor Day weekend. I found it a very fun place. I would go back but I kind of understand the bad reviews after reading some of them. We bowled and found that pins did fall down BUT that happens at all bowling alleys and really is only an issue if you are on a league. The only thing I found just a tad bit annoying is how some games took tokens and some took the card. I think it was a reasonably priced place to spend time as a family and have fun, which is why you go to those kinds of places. Thanks for a fun day!! read more

We called ahead of time to find out if you were even open due to COVID19 and the lady that answered said yes we're open til 8 unless we're busy then we'll stay open later. We walked in at 5:50 and were barely in the door and a lady in a red shirt says abruptly "were closing in an hour" we had to wait 25 minutes to even get a lane because there was 3 groups that were ahead of us. If you have the business, stay open. There were 5 lanes being occupied when "closing time" came around. So whom ever answers the phone, make sure you know your times so you're not giving false information because we wouldn't have gone. For just 35 minutes. I'll go again, but only because you're the only bowling center open in Oregon right now. Now Knowing, that you will close regardless at 7! The lady that was working the register was super awesome though. Nice how you have people leave stuff at the lane and not bring it up to the desk, to make sure it's sanitized properly due to the virus! read more

Parents, Beware!! Some rides are not safe for children and my 3 year old son's foot was crushed! SMFC would not take responsibility for it, as "there's a small sign posted nearby noting the ride is not safe for children" at a children's play place? I'm so disappointed in their lack of safety or concern for the children who come here for a day of fun. We for sure won't be back- I wish I could warn all parents of the danger before another child gets seriously hurt! :( read more

Called in advance to make sure the go karts would be open. On the phone they said yes, but when we got there they said they were closing early because they weren't selling enough tickets. No accommodations for our group of 5 that wanted to do go karts. Poor customer service! read more

Every time we go here, we have a blast. The staff has always been awesome. I don't know how they tolerate all the BS I see go on with customers, but every time I see a smile on their face and awesome service. The food isn't the best, but it is a bowling alley so what do you expect? They have really done a great job upgrading their games as well. We will always be loyal customers. I love this place for the fun center and attractions. It's great for parties, kids, families, bowling, a mix of things. The biggest disappointment is the food! It would be a super busy and great place if you wanted to eat there. The pizza taste like cardboard, their party platter is frozen foods with bottled sauces and a mound of bagged chips for filler. They are a little on the slow side but if they had great food this place would be busier for sure! But if your going to just let the kids play or wanna bowl it works for sure. read more

Nice building but the pins kept falling down and completely messing up the scores. Had to ask to switch lanes and still had the same problem. And it was a pain to get the staff to restart the game after we had switched lanes. Lava lanes is much better. read more

All I did here was bowl but the first things that kind of annoyed me was how the metal railing couldn't be dropped so that balls could fall into the gutter. The next thing was that the game stopped working multiple times and glitched giving more points to some people and letting some people bowl three times within there turn. Now I know it's meant for kids but it's got to have some enjoyment for people older that are there just because of the kids and because of all these flaws it made the games not much fun for any of us but I guess that's just my opinion and many of you won't listen to it anyways. read more

Our bowling game froze at least 6 times, we were unable to finish our game and they made us pay full price. Terrible!

I came here with a friend since we were in the mood for mini golf and bowling. The bowling was cool and they also have billiard tables that you can reserve for hour blocks, the price overall was very reasonable and the area was somewhat clean. On the other hand, mini golfing wasn't good at all. The artificial tarp that they use creates a lot of friction and there's a ton of irregularity in the surface that it made things extremely hard to play on. The course themselves were also boring with little simple obstacles on the course. Also, there is only 1 course so if you're behind a big family, you could be waiting for a while or else you just skip the hole and go to the next one. They also have go karts, batting cages and water ballon fights. Overall, it's a cool place to pass time, but I been to better places for mini golfing like Boomers and Family Fun Center. read more

Sadly many of the games were out of order, and not all the features worked on the games. When bowling the pins came off the lane in front of reset machine, the game hung up often and would not reset. The place is clean but really worn out, and it shows. read more

Great place to take the kids or a date for a good time however I have one giant elephant in the room when it comes to their Arcade. I am a huge Retro game Arcade fanatic however there is not one fighting game . Fighters are what made the Arcade hay day so incredibly successful for players of all ages. Sun Mountain , please understand if your Arcade is suffering there's your biggest blunder of a problem. For a good solution Capcom and SNK both make cabinets that have tons of great games , fighter's included all on one great machine. I wish there was a better place for pool and bowling. The last two times we've gone, we've had a bad experience. It's that infernal wheel they spin on Cosmic Bowling nights. The first time, we all went to go watch our friend spin and they cleared our appetizer platter--half eaten from our table. The second time, I was bowling in the 10th frame and got the neon pin, so we all went to the wheel and they cleared our game, didn't even get to finish my frame. (Not to mention the empty table beside us had food left on it the whole time we were there... not in the table busing mood that night I suppose) Shaking it off, we went and played some games, and I hit a mini-jackpot on a machine that dumps tokens down a chute and gives you 5 tickets per token. The tokens got hung up in the chute and only paid out 15 tickets (should have easily been 500). Oh well, not a big deal. Management seemed apologetic but didn't really do anything for us in any of the scenarios. So again, I wish there was a better place to bowl and shoot pool in Bend. read more

This place could use a lot of updating. It's probably hard for them though, because I don't think they get a ton of business. Don't go golfing in the summer unless you want to get swarmed by mosquitoes. Hopefully they can fix this place up, because it has a lot of potential. We took our 3 grandsons to SMFC this week and really enjoyed our experience. Facility was clean, well staffed and reasonably priced. The highlight of our experience, (besides the very happy grandsons) was Anthony, an employee and family of the owners. Amazing personality and willingness to help us recover a large amount of cash that we had dropped. He found it returned it to us AND refused to accept an reward for his honesty. Very commendable!!! This is a great family run business! Our daughter (who is now 20) requests her birthday party here every year. Keep in mind that she is now 20 and still wants to get the family and some of her friends together at Sun Mountain for bowling and fun every year. We love to have birthdays here for all the different activities they have, and the fact that we don't have any mess to clean up after! We always enjoy the bowling, but also they have a great selection of fun arcade games with chances to win prizes. The younger kids love this! They have several other activities that can be fun depending on who is in our group including batting cages, bumper cars, go-karts, and mini-golf. The costs for all the activities seem quite reasonable, the staff is friendly and fun, and the food is very good for this type of place. They have a pretty good menu with a variety of choices including pizza, burgers, nachos, etc. Again, it's really a great place to have fun for all ages. Makes a great place to go for family get togethers because everyone has stuff to do and a good time from the grandparents to the kids. We really have grown to love this place. read more

My girlfriend and I spent the first part of our anniversary night here. It was SO fun and we won a bunch of tickets. It was about to be ruined by some concession girls with attitudes, but was fully redeemed and made BETTER by a young woman behind the ticket redemption booth. What is there to say, my kids love it here. We are local in Bend. We don't normally go to tourist destinations locally but this place is awesome. We try to go early in the AM as this place gets busy. We have done miniature golf, bumper cars, video games and bowling there. It's a fantastic place to come when it's cold outside and the kiddos need to stretch their legs and be kids for a bit. The prices aren't bad but with two kids and two adults 80-100 dollars can easily be spent. The kids get tickets for many prizes and most of the machines are in good working order. The prizes are right out of Oriental Trading and typically break within a few days . The kids still love them. The staff is friendly and the facility seems clean. We always sanitize afterwords anyway lol! The food and beer is more expensive and not typical bowling alley food. It's lesser quality. The popcorn and cold beer is hard to beat though. It's nice having a place for the kids to play while you can enjoy too. If you are looking for indoor fun in the winter, this is your place. read more

My son and I went there to ride go karts. We were told they don't start until 4 pm. It was then 2:30. We left. Came back at 4 and said we wanted to ride go kart. The woman went to check in the back and said because of rain( it hadn't rained all day) the track was wet and they weren't going to open it. When I questioned it she said there was a chance of rain so they were' not going to open the track. It didn't rain the rest of the day. It seems the place is poorly managed. They make the rules up as they go. Why have a sign out front that says you have go karts when you really don't. Or at least put a sign out front that tells you when the track will be open. Sun Mountain Fun Center lacks professionalism and customer service. We set out for mini golf which was a positive experience, but lacked creativity. The major downfall in our experience at this facility was the go karts. Staff sold us a "card" for our youngsters ( 12, 14 and 17) with intentions of riding together. When we first arrived at the go karts, staff very rudely announced their machines were down and we'd need to walk back to receive "paper copies." First customer service let down. Second, after walking back, bringing paper copies the staff accepted our paper copies and guided the way. It wasn't until we were completely seated, buckled and ready did staff let us know we cannot ride with each other. Apparently, a 14 year old ride with her older (16 yr/old) sister. The push for a refund was difficult and unorganized. Pick a different facility to bring your family. Small company gone so wrong. read more
