Great place to take the kids and wear them out! We didn't eat so can't weigh in on that. Glad they serve beer!

What... the heck. Called ahead to find out about the wait, was told there was zero wait. Arrived…read moreabout 20 minutes later, host told us 30 minutes for a table. That's fine, places get busy quickly on a Sunday morning. Ended up waiting nearly an hour. It happens and sometimes it's worth it for good food. Our waitress was kind but clearly needed more help. Took her 15 minutes to get to our table. I asked her to level with me: How long would our food really take, because we have two antsy kids. She says 20 minutes. That's quick! Okay, we order. 10 minutes later, they say sorry we are out of orange juice. We did not order orange juice. They say they do have chocolate milk, which we did order. Glass (like, adult glass) comes for my kid and the guy explains they are out of chocolate milk so they mixed cold milk with hot cocoa powder. Looks chunky. He apologizes and says he needs to go across the street to get orange juice and chocolate milk so we can wait if we want. We don't. We just want to eat and leave. I order iced coffee (on the menu), they only have canned cold brew. Not ideal but fine. Burger (something I could honestly make at home) comes with dry breakfast potatoes. The flattest pancakes I've ever seen, complete with black grease marks from the griddle. I appreciate that the patio was nice and there was a water bowl for our dog but there were so many rookie mistakes that it felt like a restaurant that just opened last week and we're working out kinks. I'm actually annoyed at the 5-star reviews because there's no way they are at the same place we did.

I started with a clam chowder, that had just the right consistency with beautiful chunks of perfectly cooked potato and clam. There is absolutely no grit or sand in my clams which was wonderful. I ordered the sirloin cooked medium which came with a baked potato and sautéed vegetables. Everything was cooked perfectly. The potato had a nice crispy exterior and soft pillowy inside and the vegetables were not overcooked. I do wish that they would've given a large portion for the vegetables, but I can understand them trying to keep the plates looking clean and nice. I'd say if there's one thing that was not good at this restaurant it was the complementary bread. The bread that came out had clearly been smashed down. I'm not sure if the bread came that way, or if maybe someone doesn't know how to cut bread in the kitchen. On top of that, the bread was very plain. For a fancy restaurant like this I expected something a little nicer, maybe even a sourdough. Just go ahead and skip the bread, it's not worth eating when you have so many better things to eat. All in all, I would totally return to this restaurant.

My husband also enjoyed his mahi mahi dish. Cleaned up his plate! Our server Joshua was so attentive and spot on! Though we waited for awhile for our food, we enjoy coming here for meals. I had the smoked beef brisket hash, because the special of the day they sold out. The smoked beef brisket hash was okay, I was expecting a smoked flavor, but didn't seem to have it. My wife had the soup & salad combo and she enjoyed the hardy soup with the flavor and the salad was a Caesar which was fresh and crispy and tasty. Our son in law enjoyed his tuna melt and Caesar salad very much and cleaned everything that was on his plate. Our daughter had the cheese fondue with bread chucks, but hardly touched it. We also shared the baked bread with virgin olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette which was very very good. Also we shared the vegetable platter with 2 different types of humus which also was very tasty and delicious. And we also shared the fried green tomatoes with a buffet type of sauce and it went really well. If you like a nice relaxing and scenic place to enjoy and relax and have a good meal, you should try currents. The restroom is clean and well maintained and the restaurant area was clean. But the combo of the cheese and chorizo and hot honey was actually just ok. My cousin ordered the pepperoni flatbread and same thing - it was a solid flatbread, but didn't stand out. The servers were great and patient. It wasn't too busy,so once we ordered, our food came out pretty quickly. You can sit at the bar, you can sit at high tables by the bar, or you can sit at a table away from the bar/TVs. There were outdoor seats as well. It's a casual spot with great views along the water.
