The kids learned how to lead the horses and not let the horses lead them, not to be afraid of the horses, and to enjoy the trail rides. Diane is extremely knowledgeable and kind. Her horses are well cared for. She took fabulous photos for us while we were on the horses so we adults could enjoy ourselves and not worry about capturing the perfect photo. My son, who was 3, was terrified. He was in love by the end of his first ride as was our daughter. Five years later and we made it back! This time for our daughter's tenth birthday celebration. And while they ALL loved it, my son especially, said that he absolutely loved it. We now have 3 kids wanting horseback riding lessons and 5 kids that LOVED their day. Once again WE ALL loved the experience and thank Diane so much for the incredible experience.

Our kiddos (aged 3.5 to 6.5) loved the splash pad. We let them use our tupperware from our picnic to catch the water or cover the spigots, and they loved doing that. Most of the kids playing in the water ended up being temporary friends. Besides the splash pad, there is also a music section (with a xylophone) and some fancy swings. All very sun-exposed. There are several grass areas in the shade. There's also a shaded picnic table area, about 6 picnic tables.

Thursday "Music in the Park". Free admission with food and drink vendors.

There were too many kids at a time on some of the equipment, kids constantly cutting in front of other kids for stuff, and packs of kids loitering in the middle of the obstacle courses so no one could use them. If you're going to come here, I recommend doing it either early in the day when they first open, or later in the day closer to closing time. Fewer kids in general would probably help alleviate most of these issues we were having. That and maybe staff who take a more active interest in doing their jobs.

This is a great little park if you are in the Old Mill and may find the other parks too crowded for you and your family. Though the parking is very limited, so keep that in mind.

She loves teaching kids and she is the absolute best in the county at it. My kids tried out a couple of other schools in Bend before we found Eco-Kidz. After the first week we went from 3 days to 5 days a week because they begged me to go every day she was open. There was no complaining in the morning, no reminding them to get into the car... they were READY TO GO! She has an unbelievable set up at her school. Her Angel Bear Yoga and Meditation was amazing because my kids got more focused, calmer and paid attention better at home because of it. (I think this helped them learn much faster.) Even after we moved out to Sisters they begged me to bring them to her school one day a week so they could still enjoy her curriculum, which I did. They get to travel around the world, learn art by creating all sorts of things, science by growing things, mixing things together and tending to animals, take on animal and human characters in colorful, silly costumes, enjoy the specialized play areas, games and then... there is the awesome play yard. This school is SPECIAL. Today, 3 years later, my kids are both ONE YEAR AHEAD in Math and English... and it's all thanks to Eco-Kids. They learned how to LOVE LEARNING here. There's tons of residential parking on the Friday after July 4th around noon. At midday the playground is in the full sun, but some of the grass areas are partially shaded.
