Highlights included a very interesting retro 80s style exhibit on volcanoes that taught us a lot about the local geography. The kids also loved the beautifully done diorama'd historical rooms although more signage explaining some of thoughtful details would have been appreciated. The current art auction was also great to puruse, some beautiful and creative works there. We went to one talk at the amphitheatre that we found surprisingly dry. The otter exhibit was also fun to see as well as learning about the awesome lampreys. We stayed about 3.5 hours and probably could've lingered longer.

They also have an outdoor exhibit with live and items of the pass you will see along the way though out the area. They have places to sit and rest but the outdoor path can be a little steep in certain area, if you have a hard time walking, you might want to enjoy more time on the indoor exhibits. They have a restaurant and gift shop with area to sit if you need to rest. The restrooms are clean & well maintained and they even have handicapped restrooms. The parking is large and if someone has trouble walking you could drop them off in the front where they have benches they can wait until you get back from parking the car. The issue we had was there…read moreare a ton of staff members wandering around and yet no one seems interested in enforcing any of the rules designed to enhance both jumper safety and enjoyment. There were too many kids at a time on some of the equipment, kids constantly cutting in front of other kids for stuff, and packs of kids loitering in the middle of the obstacle courses so no one could use them. If you're going to come here, I recommend doing it either early in the day when they first open, or later in the day closer to closing time. Fewer kids in general would probably help alleviate most of these issues we were having. That and maybe staff who take a more active interest in doing their jobs.

The big attraction is obviously the whitewater rapids, which had some river surfers and kayaks going through. There is plenty of street parking by the park. It's all free. There is also a public bathroom in the park, but I didn't use it so I can't say how clean it is. This is a pretty peaceful and surprisingly clean park. It's definitely worth a trip if you're looking for a chill and peaceful way to spend some time.
