Pretty nice course here - we played the front 9 twice on a recent stay. Greens fees are reasonable, I recall we paid $30 after 2pm. Carts are per person at $10. As a below average player I thought the course was fun and challenging, and somewhat forgiving. The greens were hit and miss for condition, some were great others beat up. I'm not sure if its standard but they let us have a free bucket of range balls to share before our tee time - nice! As we went to get our carts, they were turning them around quickly (spraying with water), one was soaking wet yet the young lady seemed miffed we asked for a towel to wipe seats down. The 9th hole was a train wreck for me - it dog-legs left; what you can't see is that it splits after that around a water hazard; you'll have to choose the 'high road' or the 'low road' lol. Recommended, i'd love to come back and play all 18. On Memorial Day it got pretty stacked up; relax, its golf and its a holiday! read more

Great little golf course. Only complaint is the lack of long par 5's as I probably only used my driver 2-3 times during the entire round. They just plugged the greens last time I played which was a real bummer but usually the greens are in good shape. If you like fast greens, look elsewhere. read more

Played here in Mid August. Had a great time. He snack shop food was a little meh and there were some more let's say blue collar conditions but overall the course was in good shape, greens and fairways were pure and firm and the box cart hole was really memorable. read more

Everyone I've spoken to say Lost Tracks is going downhill, which is why I hadn't played it yet. But I decided to see for myself. It's too close by to ignore if it's decent. And it is. I don't know what's going downhill in particular but it plays just fine to me. - Interesting course. Along with the island green there's a split fairway hole and a lot of others that demand consideration of your shot beyond just trying to bomb it. - Course was in good condition. Greens rolled fairly true, fairways had few bad spots and the bunkers were clean. - Carts are gas-powered, which is a negative, but they have small GPS devices. I don't know how useful they are - I use a golf app for distances and layout. - Lost Tracks has the full array of hazards: bunkers, water, trees and some out-of-bounds that are very close to your target line. It pays to know the course. For example, on the 9th with the split fairway, a good tee shot will put you looking down the nearer (left) fairway but there's a hill in front of you and it's hiding a pond. I chose to go around using the right fairway to avoid hitting the water with a bad second shot. Good fairway players will be able to carry the water easily though. - No beverage cart despite a 90 degree day. I don't know if it's a pandemic thing or what, but they should have a cart. It's easy enough to do with covid protocols. - Green fees are typical for Central Oregon public courses, which is to say high. - Pace of play for the round was fine. I saw no marshal on the course, though. - The rail car used as a bridge to the island green is cool. Recommended. read more

Another fine Golf Course, nestled in the high desert of Central Oregon. It's a classic among local golfers. Well-kept grounds, lovely Clubhouse, full bar and eats... And they have Sinister black ale! 9th hole is difficult, you have to get it up the hill and through the tight window of pond and trees. It's 500 plus yards. The other par 5 was difficult too. Must have accurate tee shot and 2nd shot. Great course, dog friendly. A long course. There has to be at least 8 par 4s over 400 yards. Ya gotta hit a good drive if you're going to get there and make par. read more

Took five and a half hours to golf this course due to slow play. No starter no Marshall. People were driving carts through the bunkers. We talked to the pro shop about the issues and he was very dismissive. The pro shop employee said "it gets a little Wild West here on the weekends." Lots of courses in the Bend area. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

Not like it was 15-20 years ago. The worst greens I've ever seen, all the Portland municipal courses are in better shape. Staff is friendly and the scenery is beautiful, but if you looking for a couple of rounds while on vacation, go to Quail Run or Widgi Creek instead. Save your time and money read more

90 degree day. Players taking forever to play, water fountains don't work no water in the ball washers and 2 holes have temporary greens in July?!?. What a joke, would never come back when the other courses offer more to their customers. Don't waste $90 playing here, it's worth $45 at most. Greens are bad and I guess the GM doesn't care about the course. read more

We really enjoy playing this course. Beautiful greens, fun to play, beautiful scenery and the carts have GPS. We're recreational golfers and always like Lost Tracks. We live hear by so we have seen the continued improvements that have been happening the last couple of years. We've heard the burgers are great but we haven't tried them. read more

I loved the beauty of the course. The set up was entertaining and challenging, yet very fun to play. I loved hole 16! The greens were okay for the time of year. I would have rated higher HOWEVER my main complaint is the course bathrooms were closed!!! WHY? There is not a logical reason other than some MAN felt it was not important to have a proper place to relieve a full bladder. As a golf course, if you are going to charge full price to play, you need to have full service facilities! If you are a female golfer who stays hydrated, DON'T go here without first checking on the course bathrooms!! FYI, it was a warm sunny day. read more

During the corona-virus, Golf seems to be the only activity our family of four can do. Unfortunately, LostTracks pro shop is taking advantage of the revenue by allowing a five-some for 18 holes while their tee sheet was stacked. It wouldn't be that bad except the 5-some (could've been a 7-some until we said something) was using this time to "learn" how to hit the ball, along with being intoxicated and wasting even MORE time at the turn. The greens keeper also took the time to water the greens on the front nine (4th hole) and the back nine while we were hitting our approach shots. Sad to say, won't be coming back to this Mis-managed place. read more

I really like playing at this course. The long par 4 holes are really challenging. The staff are friendly. The hamburgers are awesome. Just like an old fashioned burger should be. The price is good but be aware of the high golf cart rental fee at $20 dollars a person. The cigars are a little pricey at $12.00 dollars. So, don't forget to stock up on your own. Overall, it's a cool and fun course with a challenge you will like. read more

They should be ashamed of themselves charging $97, with cart, for this course. It's not in good shape. Fairways are beat to hell, tee boxes are beat to hell, most of the cart paths are crumbling or completely missing. With so many great courses in the area why play here? I won't do it again. Its a joke. Drive the extra bit and play Juniper or Widgi. Or better yet, spend a bit more and play any of the resort courses. If you have a Hundy to play Goat Tracks you can afford the upgrade. read more

Played golf around the US including international play. Golf in Central Oregon and the PNW is unreal.. I live in Bend Oregon 6 months a year for the past 6 years. LT's is NOT in the top 10 for this area, not even close. With that said the 'layout' is fabulous, in fact, it's a great layout. But that is where the praise of the course stops. The greens are absolutely horrible as well as the tee boxes and traps. I would rate this course as a "value" play because it is one of the cheaper places to play. This place could be special with the right investors. The top tourist attraction courses are Brasada, Tetherow, and Pronghorn. All are great courses but will hit you in the wallet ($225-$400). What I call the "hidden gems" of this area include Sunriver the Woodlands course, Black Butte (both courses Glaze or Big Meadows), Aspen Lakes near Sisters and my ALL-time favor is Quail Run in La Pine, 30 minutes south of Bend. This course rivals any course in this area, one the most beautiful (Black Butte takes top honors on beauty). A great layout, stunning views, tree-lined with NO homes, you're in the woods! Greens. traps, tee boxes, and fairways are PGA quality. After 2 pm it's $55 with a cart (2023). We have several friends who are golf members at $1,000/month clubs who come and stay with our family. All are blown away by Quail Run. QR could be a $200 plus course. Trust me QR is challenging! Aspen Lakes takes top honors as the most challenging, tight, very tight! read more

Beautiful, quiet scenery. Only oneish holes are by the road so you get to enjoy the peacefulness. The day we went, we were about 30 min early for our tee-time and they had no problem with it, super accommodating staff. Decent beer cart selection (they had whiteclaws!). DISCLAIMER: I am not a golf fanatic. You know how some people go to parties "for the food"? Well, I play golf for the beer and for the cigars. And also because my boyfriend is an avid and MAD-talented golfer. So what you are going to read here is a non-golfer's review of a golf course. What's pretty, what's not, and any other random thoughts that come to mind. If you want a technical evaluation of a golf course, including whether the tee boxes are level (apparently that's important)... this is NOT the review for you. I suggest you read the other reviews here (if there are any) or go buy one of those fancy-schmancy golf magazines. K? K!! I took lessons here, through Bend Parks & Rec. The instructors (Dylan and Bob) were great. They were able to explain all the golf techniques, etiquette, and course play really well. I would take lessons from them again! The course is really pretty, and along the way you get to gawk at some really big, expensive houses. But don't go into their yards to chase after golf balls since it's private property. The signature hole has a bridge built from an old train car. Really unique, and way cool! read more

The course was fine... Greens abnormally slow with some damage. Mowers present on the fairways in the afternoon and no consideration for golfers. At the turn, playing companion ordered a hot dog and waited for at least 15 minutes, just to find out she "forgot to cook it" for him. The cart girl was helpful and, when asked by us, went back and picked up the meal. Wouldn't it have been "customer service" if the course staff came up with that idea? I doubt I will play the course again... The clubhouse was kind of like the experience - big and audacious without much thought to golf experience. For a playable course in Central Oregon, this ranks with a typical "muni" experience. read more

They have now switched to gas powered carts which makes no sense. Most courses have done just the opposite in changing to electric carts. People prefer the quietness of electric and hate the smell of gas carts. Obviously, this was due to economic reasons, but I wonder how many golfers will now stop going. Very nice course, challenging without being intimidating. I'm a single to double bogey golfer so I know from challenging. We have played in the summer and the pace of play leaves a bit to be desired but that's true all over the area. The last two rounds here (today and about 3 weeks ago) we have gotten change back from 4 hours. I have always found the golf shop staff to be friendly and helpful, maybe that's just me? read more

First off, Lost Tracks Golf Club is a beautiful course. However, the customer service there is the worst I have ever experienced in 40 years of golf ! After having to wait well over an hour after our scheduled tee time to finally get to play, everyone in the pro shop made excuse after excuse for the slow play. Then, my playing partners had the audacity to ask for a range ball token, you would have thought they asked for a free meal... Things went downhill from there. I decided to contact the club after the round to express my concern. Another bad mistake... From the owner (Stephanie ?) on down, they have no customer service skills whatsoever. It is truly incredible in this day and age to find such incompetence in a customer service oriented industry. There are many other great options for golf in Central Oregon. Do yourself a favor and AVOID Lost Tracks ! read more

I came across this course during a bachelor party, and I was thoroughly impressed by it. The greens are well maintained as well as the rest of the course, and for the price ($49 for 18) it was a great deal. I would have liked one or two more Par 5s, but that is my only minor gripe. There are a lot of dog legs, so it really tests your driving ability and placement. The signature hole is at 16, where it is a faux-TPC Sawgrass island green. Aside from dropping three consecutive balls in the drink, the hole was fantastic. There is an old box car filled with nick-knacks that are fun to look at and slow up the people behind you. Overall, this is the best course I've played. read more

Very beautiful course -- and nicely laid out 18 holes. Easy to walk, and some challenging holes. Not too spendy, so its OK for a group of 4 to play without breaking the bank. If you like desert golf, this is a very green version, but still desert-y none-the-less :-p read more

Great course and service. A great amount of creativity was put into the course and you can clearly tell from just playing 9 holes. The whole 18 is one of the better courses in central Oregon. The food is average which is fine because the golf makes up for it. Service is great which includes snack lady coming around 3-5 times during your round. Also great golf carts with built in gps of each hole to help with your range and club selection. read more

Lost tracks is a fun course. The signature par 3 with the rail car is a great hole. The course is usually is great shape although I have played it when that is a different story. The customer service here is definitely cause for concern. I know people that will absolutely not play here strictly because of the customer service. There seems to be a weird sense of entitlement among those who work at the course and definitely those who manage it. The course is fun, but it doesn't warrant the customer service it provides. I'm giving it four stars based on the course itself and the enjoyment of playing it. Use caution in the pro shop. read more

Three and a half stars. Fun course. Greens and fairways in really good shape. Plenty of challenges. Mostly googled fairways. Pick your clubs carefully. Long is not always best on this course. I'm not a long hitter and found myself playing from the #2 tee box (the tips are considered #1). Most of the water features were dried up. It would have been nice if they were up and running. Really nice touch with the par 3 island green. Vintage train car as the bridge to get to the green for your put. Friendly pro shop and bar/grill. read more

Horrible greens this time of year. Full of sand, not worth it. Terribly disappointed. Wish we would've played somewhere else.

We golfed there last Saturday, 07/05/14. First nine holes were fine, finished front nine in a little over 2 hours. Group ahead of us was able to jump ahead of a foursome at the turn that we got stuck behind. It was comprised of three little kids and their father. The next three holes took over an hour. No ranger in sight. We walked off the course on the 13th. I complained to management and was told basically 'tough'. Will never play there again and wouldn't recommend it. I will spend my golf dollars elsewhere! read more
