Kung Pao Shrimp

I've only ever gotten take out from here, so I'm not sure if its gets packed but it was empty. It could've just been a generally slow time because they didn't seem to have that much staff inside either. Regardless, I was immediately greeted and got my food quickly while it was still piping hot. I was extremely impressed by the flavor and tenderness of the shrimp here. I could drink the sauce my kung pao shrimp came in. Everything was perfectly cooked and the spice level was very mild, despite the bits of charred chiles mixed into the dish. I could actually probably go up a spice level or two if anything. The rice tasted even better once I got the idea to mix some of the sauce into it too. Unfortunately, I ordered a boba Thai tea from them but they were out of boba and it turned out to be a little too sweet for me anyways. The prices were pretty fair especially for their lunch meals so I really didn't mind.

Sun Moon Garden is a hidden gem in Burbank. I was recommended to try the restaurant. I went in and met Lynn at the front desk. She was friendly and welcoming. I asked her what the most popular plate was and she said "All of them". Later I found out that she was correct Sum Moon Garden has been around since 2001. It is a family run business and they have consistent regulars. Every time I go there, the orders are on the table ready to be picked up. There is a constant stream of people coming in and out. I went with the Kung Pao chicken, fried rice and hot and sour soup. Look at my photos. The Kung pao chicken is delicious. I think that this is the best hot and sour soap that I have ever had. The soap is heavy and full of flavor. The location is located on a bend and very easy to miss. There is plenty of parking. Pick up orders are ready in 15 minutes. You will love Sun Moon Garden.

My family and I was looking for a new Chinese restaurant to check out for family dinner. We came across Sun Moon Garden. Made an order for take out and ordered a number of dishes. The preparation time for our order was pretty quick as it was ready by the time we have arrived for pick up. They were nice enough to add a free order of deep fried shrimp which happened to be my favorite dish out of what we ordered. lol Everything else was tasty and everyone was happy. Parking: small private lot VERDICT: One and done

Been coming here for a few years now and it never disappoints. I always enjoy the food and how it can be family style. The service is always quick and easy especially when you call and order in. The ambiance is comfy casual and you can literally just go for a lazy night out with friends when no one wants to cook.

Lunch special $10.99 comes with egg roll, tea, fried rice and shrimp with soup. There are several varieties of lunch specials as low as $8.99. You can't beat it. And they have egg foo young which is not always easy to find. The vegetables were fresh and everything came put piping hot. Sun Moon Garden has been a Burbank staple for many years and gas survived the pandemic, fires, etc. The quality of food and the expert preparation has not changed. The dining room is spacious, quiet and great for groups. Thank you to the owners and chefs for your dedication and to the servers for their awesome service!

This my attempt to re-cook meat that was not cooked. It ended up in the trash!

I decided to try a new place to get BBQ Pork fried rice and it's one of the best Fried rice that I had around this area. Highly recommend.

Is sun moon taking phone orders during COVID?

Yes!

Is it food?

In third world countries, like most of Asia, this would be considered prime cuisine. You may just need a reality check because it seems like you've been 'washed' from it. Quite accurate answer for your question, I believe.

While they do have General Tsao on the menu it's listed as spicy so I may try it next time. I had the beef broccoli which was good. The fried dumplings are always a go to and they did not disappoint and were still a bit crispy when it was delivered. That savory taste 10/10. The spring rolls were good but wish they had big egg rolls on the menu. I definitely wanted cream cheese wontons. I was a bit disappointed by the almost non existent amount of cream cheese but they were still good. They gave the normal sweet and sour sauce but my disappointment about the cream cheese was quelled when I tried the Dijon like horseradish sauce that also came with. The sweet and savory 10/10. I'll definitely ask for that any time I have wontons. I can't speak to the ambiance since I ordered delivery but the food came quick and satisfied my cravings. I may pop inside to try out the general tsao some time. If ur in Burbank or an abutting neighborhood I'd definitely recommend it. Happy munching!

Our waiter was also very attentive, poliete, and knowledgable. However the food ended up leaving a lot of be desired. The Egg drop soup tasted a bit off. I'm not even sure how to describe it besides eh, maybe a tad slimy? I'm just not certain but I didn't have a desire to finish it. My beef and broccoli was similarly underwhelming. No flavors really stood out in the meal. The egg roll might have been the best thing I had to eat. The Beef was just eh and the Broccoli was similarly lackluster. I had hoped this might be a new place to frequent but after my experience I will be passing on Century Dragon going forward.

I called, but there was very little concern or apology, which was disappointing. It took me a long time to give them another chance. It's really upsetting because I used to enjoy this spot, but issues like this are serious. I truly think this place needs a health inspection. I won't be returning neither will my family

Walked in today at 3:45 pm and was greeted by the host name Melody and she took us to our table. A minute later, Luis, our server came to take our order. We ordered 4 items that could have fed an entire Army. It really was a lot of food. Generous portions and still had left overs to take home. We got small orange chicken, which was more like a large size, ($14.49), Chicken Steamed Dumplings ($7.99), Vegetable egg rolls (4) pieces(8.99), and their House Special Fried Rice that came with: chicken, beef, shrimp, eggs, peas, carrots & green onions.(16.99). Luis & Bryan were very nice, pleasant, kind and very attentive. They checked on us like 4 times. Our food came out fast, tasted fresh, hot and delicious. Let me not forget to tell you that the minute you sit down, they bring Complimentary hot Green tea in a teapot. The restaurant along with the restroom were very clean. 10/10. Underground valet parking shared with other businesses; and you can also park on the street and metered parking. Anything you can eat you any night you don't have to cook is usually a great night out. This evening was no exception. Our waitress was kind and accommodating. Everything was prepared wonderfully and had tremendous flavor. I recommend trying their Hui Tou, stuffed with pork or beef, pork and leek pancakes, they also have vegetarian options. Their pork shumai was delicious, xiao long bao's soup dumplings were flavorful. Delicious. I definitely need a second trip here to try their soups and more of their variety of dumplings.

The staff is always friendly and attentive, the vibes inside are great, and there's a solid drink selection with cocktails, draft beer, and bottled options. And the price point? Outrageously reasonable, especially in this economy. Consistently delicious food, great service, and incredible value. Highly recommend!
