I've been coming here since I was a little kid. My family has been a fan of this Chinese spot basically forever; we are very fond of this takeout spot, and the food is usually always very good. Today I came for the lunch special on my own, just a quick lunch before work. They have a lunch special for about 13 dollars. It includes a lot of food. The lunch special comes with a drink, rice, soup of choice (I got hot and spicy), egg rolls, and an entree; I chose the king pao chicken. The portion was huge! I had enough for two separate meals. I could not finish the dish, so I took some for work and ate some leftovers at dinner; it was enough to fill me up twice. The service was quick, and they were attentive very fast from the moment I walked in. They have sauces like soy sauce and chili sauce at the table, and they have a small but cozy dining area. I felt welcomed and enjoyed my food in a timely manner. One of the best Chinese spots in the valley, no doubt. read more

I was really hopeful that the food had improved because I saw a lot of great reviews from the past year; but the fried rice is still extremely subpar, the honey walnut shrimp is passable, and the cream cheese wontons are very OK. Such a disappointment. The service was great though! read more

I give this place a 3.5 out of 5. I ordered takeout 1. The "Veggie" eggrolls They are a nice size but unfortunately all that is inside is just cabbage, they should just call is a cabbage roll. Out of a family of 6 non of us really liked it :/ 2. The chicken chowmein It's okay it was a nice portion! I feel like maybe it's missing some kind of flavor to enhance it because I feel like it was a bit plain. 3 out of 6 from my family liked it. 3. The wonton soup The wonton soup was delicious! I ordered take out and was told it was a 20-25 min wait. Poor customer service. The portions are smaller than the actual size of the container. The lady made me wait 15 minutes longer intentionally since I asked her to please add more to the entree that was not completely full. I arrived and observed that the order was complete. The lady was unprofessional and did not speak fluent English. I grew up dining in at the restaurant. We have been loyal customers and do not appreciate this poor customer service. I almost died eating at this place. I have been eating lunch here regularly off and on for years. Today I bit into an Egg Roll that had a large metal staple. Luckily I chew my food because I could have chocked and died. I told the waitress and she said she was sorry and ran off with the plate. I was not thinking because I was kind of in shock that I almost swallowed a metal staple. I should have taken the plate/evidence and went to an attorney to sue these incompetent fools. I was so pissed off that I just left but I came back to get a refund because the idiots didn't even offer to do that. God protects me and I believe in Karma. I am pleased to announce that the owner reached out to me personally to apologize for the issues I had on my first visit. On that visit last week. I ordered "Egg Foo Young" and it was well lest just say not desirable. They explained what happened and was very sorry that the dish wasn't to my liking. I was offered a second chance to try them out and although I was reluctant due to my scathing review. I understand that the relationship between the owner and their customers is based on trust. Thus I came back and I had the Vegetable with Chicken and steamed rice. The dish was really good and the flavor were right on point. Now this was what I expected having seen the spot so busy on my arrival the first time. Its hard to get good food especially Chinese food. In Los Angeles its always hit or miss. But Chinese Delight didn't miss this time. My intention is never to bad mouth a restaurant to hurt their business. Its to let them know what's wrong it allows them an opportunity to correct the issue. The fact that the owner was amiable to my suggestion and cared about my concerns says a lot about her restaurant and even more about her as a person. I will definitely come back. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they don't use gloves. But I believe they are old school and as long as they are practicing cleanliness,. I'm cool with that. First time here and I have to say I didn't experience any bad customer service. Everyone was very nice and attentive. My friend ordered a refill on hot tea and we were so deep in conversation we didn't notice the server had already stealthily set it down on the table. The location is what it is but don't get it twisted this is no hole in the wall, it's a small restaurant with limited seating but your food is fresh, and HOT. Can't wait to go back. I got to read some reviews after and I can see if it's busy and they're short a person that service may not be top notch. I always go into a new dining experience with the approach that I'm going to rate it 5 stars unless they give me a reason not to. I hope my fellow yelpers are civilized enough to voice their concerns directly to the staff as they seem like the type of people who will make a wrong right. read more

Been ordering here for years due to the fair price and free delivery. Ate in today, halfway through the large egg drop soup we realized there was a good amount of mold on chunks of the egg. Service: they are rude like most of the comments say but I think that's just a thing. Most of the mom and pop shops I eat at lack customer service. The eating are is cleaning and there are enough tables for a place like this. This covers the ambiance portion. Food: most of the food is blah at best. Small restaurant in a small strip mall. Don't let that scare you. The food was amazing! The portions were enough for two extra meals for four after boxing it up! A few diners but looks like most of their business is take out / "door dash, etc." The food came out quickly and hot ( not spicy unless you ordered it that way ) and the drinks were never empty. We had veg fried rice, sesame chicken, egg rolls, garlic chicken and garlic beef. This was for a family of four and still had mountains to take back to the hotel. I just had the worst lunch experience of my life. The service is upfront and impatient, I was one of the only guests in the restaurant and I understand to-go orders can be stressful but that is no excuse to not treat a guest with kindness and attention. I ordered the kung pao chicken and asked for no celery and the order came out wrong, I asked if I could pay for another lunch special and they refused. The server raised her voice at me when I was trying to calmly say I didn't enjoy the dish and that it came out wrong. I've been getting takeout from here for a few years and the food has always tasted fresh and delicious. Sure it can be busy at times, and orders may get misplaced, but for me it's understandable (considering the high volume of take-out during the pandemic).
