    Garlic Chicken
    Kevin A.

I've been to Hot Wok once before and Quang is a fun, quirky man who is the be all end all at this small Chinese food restaurant in North Hollywood. He takes your order, disappears into the kitchen, then 10 minutes later brings you the food to go and, on occasion, allows you to stay and eat onsite but there are no more plates or service ware since Covid started. That all doesn't matter because-- THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD!!! This is homemade Chinese food, wok-prepared and only using fresh ingredients, made by what would be your parent or grandparent if you were Chinese and very fortunate! Tonight's garlic chicken comes out piping hot, the large cut pieces of green pepper and onion and nice squares of chicken breast all covered over in a brown garlic sauce. I really like the quarter-size and thick water chestnut slices and crunch they provide too. It's tasty and needs only the tiniest amount of soy sauce. The wonderful and soft white rice that accompanies it sops up the sauce at the bottom of the pan and becomes something great in and of itself too... I'm a sucker for anything that's old school and personal and that has stood up to the test of time and Hot Wok and Quang himself? They have done just that... the NoHo neighborhood changes all the time, what with a Raising Cane's and a Starbuck's being the newest additions just across the street, but Hot Wok and its sole proprietor are still churning out great classic Chinese food. Worth your time! PS Mon-Fri 11AM - 7PM, Sat closes at 6PM

Kwan the owner is amazing! He took my phone order and made the food himself for my wife and I. The food quality was excellent and tasted delicious! Just what we were hoping for! The ambiance of the restaurant was very authentic and quaint. I would definitely go back! I live in sherman oaks so North Hollywood was only a 10 min drive for me and totally worth it. We ordered the orange chicken, chicken lo mein noodles, shrimp fried rice, veggies, egg rolls and dumplings. Definitely plenty for left overs and it reheated excellent! Must go if your in the area!

While they do have General Tsao on the menu it's listed as spicy so I may try it next time. I had the beef broccoli which was good. The fried dumplings are always a go to and they did not disappoint and were still a bit crispy when it was delivered. That savory taste 10/10. The spring rolls were good but wish they had big egg rolls on the menu. I definitely wanted cream cheese wontons. I was a bit disappointed by the almost non existent amount of cream cheese but they were still good. They gave the normal sweet and sour sauce but my disappointment about the cream cheese was quelled when I tried the Dijon like horseradish sauce that also came with. The sweet and savory 10/10. I'll definitely ask for that any time I have wontons. I can't speak to the ambiance since I ordered delivery but the food came quick and satisfied my cravings. I may pop inside to try out the general tsao some time. If ur in Burbank or an abutting neighborhood I'd definitely recommend it. Happy munching!

Our waiter was also very attentive, poliete, and knowledgable. However the food ended up leaving a lot of be desired. The Egg drop soup tasted a bit off. I'm not even sure how to describe it besides eh, maybe a tad slimy? I'm just not certain but I didn't have a desire to finish it. My beef and broccoli was similarly underwhelming. No flavors really stood out in the meal. The egg roll might have been the best thing I had to eat. The Beef was just eh and the Broccoli was similarly lackluster. I had hoped this might be a new place to frequent but after my experience I will be passing on Century Dragon going forward.

Walked in today at 3:45 pm and was greeted by the host name Melody and she took us to our table. A minute later, Luis, our server came to take our order. We ordered 4 items that could have fed an entire Army. It really was a lot of food. Generous portions and still had left overs to take home. We got small orange chicken, which was more like a large size, ($14.49), Chicken Steamed Dumplings ($7.99), Vegetable egg rolls (4) pieces(8.99), and their House Special Fried Rice that came with: chicken, beef, shrimp, eggs, peas, carrots & green onions.(16.99). Luis & Bryan were very nice, pleasant, kind and very attentive. They checked on us like 4 times. Our food came out fast, tasted fresh, hot and delicious. Let me not forget to tell you that the minute you sit down, they bring Complimentary hot Green tea in a teapot. The restaurant along with the restroom were very clean. 10/10. Here's the thing, Dragon Street - learn how to attach lids. Seriously, learn how to attach lids. I…read morewas in the mood for some won ton soup last evening, so I ordered from this place and also got the four vegetable egg rolls with it. So far, so good and so good, so far. It arrived in a timely fashion. Enter the lids. Every single lid in the package had come off of whatever it was covering. That included the soup, which, thank goodness was in its own bag and therefore survived. The egg rolls were a different story - both sauce lids were completely off the sauces and unfortunately for me, the sauces were IN the box with the egg rolls. All the sauce from each (one spicy, one sweet and sour) were all over the place including the four egg rolls, which were now drenched in both spicy and sweet and sour sauce. Because of that, they were too soggy to even pick up, nor would I ever put a soggy impossible to pick up egg roll anywhere near my mouth. Those went into the trash. Happy to say that the soup was okay. A little had spilled into the plastic bag, and it was difficult to get the literal cup of soup out of the bag without spilling more, but I managed. Now, when I say literal cup of soup, I mean the soup was in what looked like a cardboard coffee cup. I suppose that's fine and they did as I asked and left the shrimp out - the broth needed a little salt, but once that was added it hit the spot. In closing, learn how to attach a lid, Dragon Street. Thank you for listening.
