Working with Sun Dollar Solar was such a bad experience and we definitely would not recommended. If you are already working with them, do not pay them until the job is completely done and the panels are up an running. It took over 2 weeks for ours to get turned on and that was after we kept calling and following up with them. Once you pay, there is no sense of urgency and communication is non-existent. From the moment we started the project, we've encountered several issues and working with Jason has not been the best experience as others describe. Aside from lack of communication we also encountered a situation that made us very uncomfortable. We got a call one morning from saying they had forgotten something and needed access to our home (we have dogs). When we asked what had been forgotten they tried to trick us but eventually they explained that they needed an already-installed part from our site to take to another site. Then, when my husband went up to the roof to inspect the panels, he discovered foot prints on several of the panels. Jason talked sweet to us in the beginning and he seemed professional and on top of things. We were initially very impressed by his "transparency" and we even got him THREE referrals who are also having issues. I am so sad to say that we really wish to have gone with a larger, more established company. read more

Question: What do you want to see with a top-notch Solar installation? Answer: As little as possible! Jason and his team spent the time to route the wires in conduit through the ceiling via the attic and installed my inverter inside of my garage. Most solar installations in my community have unsightly exposed conduit and Inverters. Mine is all hidden. Just a small disconnect required by code and a placard on my panel door. Other solar companies will take the cheap way out and pocket the savings. Jason asked about my needs and understands the importance of making enough solar power to cover Electric Vehicle charging costs. With the new time of use billing it is important to consider maximizing power all day long. We had Sun Dollar solar install our system after talking to some of the other large companies. Jason from Sun Dollar Solar was very knowledgeable and gave us different options on how we could get our system purchased outright. The other companies that we talked to wanted us to sign up for a 20 year lease. After the lease was up, they wouldn't tell us what would happen with the system. With Sun Dollar solar we own our system, and we won't have any issues with a leasing company if we decide to sell our home. We also paid 1/2 of what we would have with the lease from the other companies. There is nothing negative I could say about this company.
