Solar Pool Services is a great company and both Paige and Bill are great people!…read more I originally hired Solar Pool Services, on 07/07/2023, to install a brand new customized solar pool heating system for a new pool build, and they were patient with me when I ran into problems with the pool contractor and they honored our original contract 16 months after they were originally scheduled to install our system. At the start of our project, Riverside County did not require a building permit for this kind of project, but by the time we were ready to move forward, we found that had changed. Paige worked with me to figure out what the county was going to require for the permits and we split the additional cost for permits and a civil engineer to verify the our roof would support the additional load. Our custom system consists of (5) 4'x10' panels, (7) 4'x12' panels, and the necessary plumbing and sensors which are connected to our pool automation system. The installation took one day and they even painted the pipes to match the stucco, eves, and roof tiles so they system doesn't stand out as an eyesore. After installation, they scheduled and passed the final inspection, without the need for repairs, corrections, reinspection(s), or added costs. I know from experience how hard it is to find and hire honest contractors and I am happy to vouch for these guys. As other reviewers have noted, they're speedy, honest, and reliable! It caused unwanted muddles no matter if it would rain or not. I reached out on yelp and just sent a project detailing what my issue was: flat roof with no attic, dew moisture dripping off of the edge of the roof all year round, and was looking for seamless gutter install for the whole perimeter of my house. I have no idea how gutters work and just thought I needed all around my house. A couple of companies reached out to my project inquiry. One wouldn't come to my house, but said that they would do a satellite view and give me an estimate. This seemed sketchy and made me not want to work with them, especially after their estimate for a whole house gutter install (which was unbelievably expensive). I read the reviews of A-Z Solutions and everyone complemented Greg on his professionalism and communication. I experienced that first hand. Greg came over, and I told him I wanted to do a full house gutter. He walked with me around my house and educated me that gutters should be placed where the slope of the house is. He said he didn't want to charge me to install materials that I didn't need. I accepted his proposal the same day, which I deemed to be fair and reasonable. He came to my house again and explained again where the gutters and downspouts would be. The crew who installed my gutters were also just as kind and educated me about the process. I chose Bronze because of its two toned appeal in sunlight. Right now, it doesn't match the color of my house. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the level of professionalism, kindness, education, and honesty from this company. I will recommend to anyone seeking gutter install.

That quote was a full blown sales presentation that was too over the top and trying to sell their preferred product, not what was best for my property. There was no pressure, which I appreciated. The installation crew was great and Greg made sure we were happy before the crew left. Highly recommend choosing A to Z and we'll definitely consider them first when replacing our roof as well.

Our pool solar is 13 years old and is in need of replacement. The original installers are no longer…read morein my area. It is the old rubber system and the rubber has been deteriorating and last summers heat collapsed the tubes because the system did not have a pressure valve. Long story short,,, We received 4 estimates. The last company REVCO SOLAR came out and gave us an estimate. The technician left the toggle switch on the solar system in a neutral position instead off OFF after his look at the system. (Our solar has been off now for the last 7 months.) When our pool pump started up at 9am the next morning, it caused our solar to turn on which pushed water through the old deteriorated rubber tubes flushing the entire decayed rubber particles into our pool. At 9:15am we happened to look out the window and saw what was happening and turned our pump off. The damage was already done. We contacted REVCO SOLAR, sent photos and explained what they had created. They refused to take responsibility, blaming our old Solar system. When they were confronted with the fact that 3 other companies came out, gave estimates and did not create this disaster, they chose to ignore our request for them to 1. hire someone with a portable pool vacuum to clean the mess up or 2. we would vacuum our pool ourselves and then request for them to contribute $125.00 for someone to then come clean all the debris from our filters. Their response was they would discount their solar replacement cost 5% ( $288.00) stating that would cover the cost of a pool guy cleaning up the mess. BTW we are the pool guy. So long story short- DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO REVCO SOLAR. They also were $1,556 dollars higher for the same new solar system as a lower bid with a company that we have seen their work. REVCO's estimate actually was one panel less- 8, we are getting 9. Please see the photos of what we needed to deal with after REVCO SOLAR visited our home for an estimate. A simple apology and an effort to help with this error would have been greatly appreciated. Instead they did not take responsibility for their error.

In nearly ten years, my system has never produced the level of solar energy that was represented when I made this investment. As a result, I have spent thousands of dollars out of pocket on Southern California Edison bills that I reasonably expected my solar system would significantly reduce. Instead of receiving the savings I was promised, I have continued paying far more for electricity than I ever anticipated. What has been most disappointing is the lack of follow-through. The company has been aware of issues with my system for years, yet they remain unresolved. Despite numerous phone calls and emails over the years, I have received little to no communication, no meaningful updates, and no proactive effort to correct the ongoing problems. There were also issues from the very beginning. When my system was installed in 2016, I was never provided with the monitoring equipment that was supposed to come with it, nor was I informed that there was a monitoring app available. Without those tools, I had no way of monitoring my system's production or knowing that it was consistently underperforming. After years of phone calls and emails to the corporate office, I finally got someone to come out in 2023 to install the monitoring equipment that should have been installed from the beginning. It was only then that I learned there was an app that allowed me to monitor my system. During that same visit, the technician determined that my microinverters needed to be replaced. The replacement microinverters were shipped to my home, and the technician returned to pick them up for installation. However, the work was never completed. The technician left with the new equipment and never returned to finish the job. Despite additional attempts to follow up, I was once again left without answers or a resolution. I understand that mistakes happen and that every company occasionally encounters challenges. However, this is no longer a matter of a simple mistake or a temporary inconvenience. This has been an unresolved issue for nearly a decade. My goal has never been to leave a negative review. My goal has always been to have the solar system I paid for perform as it was represented and to have the company stand behind its product and installation. Unfortunately, after almost ten years, thousands of dollars in unexpected utility costs, years of unanswered phone calls and emails, an incomplete repair, and two formal written requests that went unanswered, I have been left with no meaningful communication and no resolution. I sincerely hope this review encourages the company to finally contact me, complete the repairs that should have been completed years ago, thoroughly evaluate my system, determine why it has consistently failed to meet the promised production, and stand behind the product they sold me. I am writing to formally file a complaint against UniverCity Solar LLC, located at 242 East Airport…read moreDrive, San Bernardino, CA 92408, regarding unresolved roof damage, ongoing water intrusion, broken promises, and what I believe to be negligence and misrepresentation that dates back to 2022. UniverCity Solar has visited my home on two separate occasions over the past several years to address a roof leak that developed after the installation of their solar system. During those visits, their technicians identified cracked roof tiles as the cause of the leak, repaired those tiles, and sealed the affected areas. Despite these repairs, the roof leak continued. In January 2023, I communicated directly with Aaron, a representative of UniverCity Solar, who acknowledged the damage and promised that the company would repair the interior damage caused by the leak, including repainting the roof area stained by water intrusion. Aaron repeatedly delayed this work, citing a lack of available personnel, but reassured me multiple times that the repairs would be completed. At one point, he even stated that he intended to hire a professional painter to perform the work. Trusting these assurances, I waited in good faith for over a year, during which time no repairs were made. In late 2026, heavy rains resumed and caused additional damage, including deterioration to the drywall and window sill in my dining room--the same room originally affected by the roof leak. On December 3, 2026, UniverCity Solar sent Adam to inspect the roof. At that time, they claimed to have discovered damage to a board outside the solar panel areaand abruptly stated that they were no longer responsible for any repairs. This sudden reversal is unacceptable. Regardless of any newly identified issues, UniverCity Solar previously diagnosed the leak twice as being caused by cracked roof tiles, which they stated were responsible. I relied on their expertise and professional assessment. If their current claim is that the cracked tiles were not the cause, then the company is still responsible for misdiagnosing the issue on multiple occasions, which directly resulted in delayed corrective action and increased damage. Due to the age of the damage and the prolonged delays caused by UniverCity Solar, I am now unable to file a homeowners insurance claim, as the issue is no longer considered new damage. Their failure to correctly diagnose and permanently resolve the problem has directly hindered my ability to seek insurance coverage, resulting in financial harm. Additionally, I am deeply disappointed to learn that Tim, the salesperson who sold me UniverCity Solar's services, misrepresented the company's roofing credentials. I was told that UniverCity Solar carried a full roofing license, only to be informed later by Aaron that they carry only a limited roofing license. This discrepancy further undermines my trust in the company. I am especially disheartened by this treatment given that I have provided over three referrals to UniverCity Solar, all of whom became paying customers. This level of neglect and refusal to honor written and texted commitments--copies of which I possess--is unacceptable and does not reflect the service that was promised to me. At this point, I am unsatisfied and disappointed with UniverCity Solar's conduct and believe their actions constitute negligence and potential malpractice. I am requesting that UniverCity Solar be held accountable for: * Honoring their written and verbal commitments * Repairing the interior and exterior damage caused by the roof leak * Addressing the ongoing water intrusion issue in full I processed additional complaints to the Federal Trade Commission report number 195345513 and the Better Business Bureau under the Pacific Southwest, Central & Inland California division.

They only recommended replacing what was needed. They said my patio and garage roof was fine and they advised that I only replace the roof for the main 2,000 sq. Ft house which saved me money. I have a great friend nearby who is a general contractor and he came by to inspect the work first hand as well and confirmed they did great. Adam all the paperwork, city inspections and their fees, he was in touch every day with me to update me on progress and the job was done on time and as scheduled.
