I purchased a pool vacuum on May 5, 2023 and it did not perform. The bottom of my pool was dirty, after I increased suction on the pump and tension on the vacuum. Come to find out the vacuum was an older model, and the owner suggested the vacuum to make room for newer models. I tried to return the vacuum but could not because it was past 10 days, and I did not have the box. I will not use Sun Devil Pool Supply for any pool products in the future. If you need to return any pool products do it within 10 days, keep the box & receipt. read more

Went there yesterday with problems with my Hayward cleaner. Justin was polite and helpful. Explained everything he was doing as he worked on it and showed me why he recommended changing (only) certain/needed parts. Fixed it while I waited, and it runs like a champ now. read more

Had to drop in and give Sun Devil another 5 stars. I took my filter apart, and the cartridges looked ROUGH. I was sure I'd have to replace them. Took one down, and Tyler looked it over and told me it was still OK, it's old but still serviceable. He could have easily sold me four new cartridges for $400. Now, when it is time to replace them, I'll definitely be returning, as well as for all of my other pool needs. They've earned my trust, my recommendation, and my continued business. read more

I have gone into this store many times and each time they are friendly, helpful and never try to get me to spend more than I need to. In fact, they've talked me out of buying things so I could save money and be more knowledgeable. I'm pretty sure this is a family run business, always the same people working there. They seem to really care. They have a pretty good selection of all things pool related for a small store. Prices are on par with other stores. read more

I had a similar experience as one of the other reviewers... mainly that after the work was done the tech informed me that the invoice was nearly triple what was quoted prior to the work being done, but there was nothing in writing and that it was my misunderstanding. On top of that, the work was done incorrectly. I had a couple of relatively heated arguments with Sun Devil, in which they assumed no blame or responsibility, and proceeded to belittle and insult me. I do not recommend Sun Devil Pool Supply. read more

A friend who does pool restoration suggested I take my pool sweep to the local Pool Supply store as typically they will fix whatever is wrong and charge just for the cost of parts. Well I did, the gentleman who helped me wasn't 100% certain that what he did was going to work, so he asked that I take it home, plug it back in, and call him back so he would know for future reference. Whatever he did worked, I called to tell him and said I was coming back to pay him for the parts and he told me it was free as the information was more valuable for future reference. This is how business is done and for that reason I will buy all my pool supplies from this location so long as I live in the area. read more

Had a horrible experience working with the store in chandler location near Fry's.After confirming the appointment the technician didn't show up.when we called they simply said it was a mistake by A.J who confirmed the appointment and they cannot show up! We canceled the appointment and the owner did not care to apologize as well.Beware of those company as they cannot keep up to their commitment. read more

Recently had some repair work done. At the end of the story, the work seems to have been completed and everything's working. Getting there was a rocky process. Went to the store on a Saturday with a description of the problem. They said they could have a technician come out Wednesday and look at it. They couldn't give me any approximation of the time of day; just that I would get a call 30 minutes before arrival. So I kept my phone close with me at work waiting for a call. Got the call mid-day and rushed home to meet him. He looked at it, threw out some numbers for parts and labor. I said ok, just needed to get things fixed. He said he'd go see if they had the part and let me know shortly when he could come back - either the next day or the day after. Of course, I didn't hear from him. I contact him the next day since I now have his phone number and he said he would be out that day. My wife was home but she didn't know he was there until she looked out the kitchen window and saw him. Ringing the door bell or some notice would have been nice. I came home after work and tuned the pump on. His work was leaking. Contacted the tech and he said he'd be back the next day. He came back and worked on things again and that night when I checked it, no leaks. Got a call the following day to advise me of the total before they charged my credit card. The labor amount was higher that what he'd said - I guess it was an "estimate". Looking a the work that was done and the labor charge, I calculate a rather astronomical hourly rate but, my bad for not comparison shopping. I asked the store if they could send me a paid receipt for the charges. No, I had to drive over there and pick it up to get one. When I did, I asked about warranty on the repair since all I got was a tiny cash register receipt, they thought there was probably a year on the part and 30 days on the labor. The 30 days on the labor really disappointed me. His first repair didn't last one day. So if it starts leaking again, sounds like my problem. Overall I'd rate the experience as poor. Poor communications, no written estimate, or documentation, almost non-existent warranty on labor. My wife says one star. He surprised her in the back yard twice. read more
