First time visiting Sun Devil Auto and Jessica was assertive, kind, and accommodating. Excellent service. I will definitely be back!

Best service ever! After spending the day before trying to get my truck repaired at the dealership and being jerked around, I took my truck from them and took it here. Everyone here is knowledgeable, experienced, kind, and efficient. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my truck, being polite and honest. read more

Consistently good experiences here for many years. They are clean, efficient, on-time, reasonable, cheerful, and straightforward. They'll tell you if your dealership is better equipped to handle a problem. read more

Ya know how you have "your" service providers--like your hair dresser and your dentist--and you feel good about them and trust them and it's just comfortable and right and you're grateful that you have them and you never want to (or have to) go anywhere else? That's what I found today in Sun Devil Auto and store manager Matt Smith. AMEN! I'm relatively new to the area--and a single woman with limited car knowledge but dedicated to preventative maintenance like oil changes and tire rotations. My Honda CR-V has more than 140,000 miles on it and I intend to drive it until it drops. This morning I went to a well-known quick-lube oil change franchise; I didn't have an awful experience there but I left feeling like I spent too much money and a little taken advantage of. Worse, they weren't able to replace my headlight and they warned me that my brake fluid was low and I should have my brakes checked. Ugh. I was getting overwhelmed ... I just had the battery replaced a month ago at one place, had my tires rotated at another place, was at a third place now for an oil change ... now I needed to find a place that works on brakes!? And WHO the heck was going to replace my headlight bulb!? I was resigning myself to the idea that I'd have to just go to the dealership and take my lickings, particularly irritating because I recognized that I just DIDN'T KNOW how else to get this stuff taken care of. I went to my next errand forlorn and fretting to my best friend about feeling helpless and the inconvenience of having to chase these things down. As I pulled into my parking space at the grocery store, there right in front of me, filling my windshield as if a sign from God: SUN DEVIL AUTO. Alright, I thought, I'll go talk to them and hope I don't burst into tears in exasperation. Oh my gosh. MIRACLES!! Matt Smith was SO respectful and kind and patient ... he offered to change my headlight bulb right there on the spot and only charged me for the bulb! I would give anything to return my $75 oil change experience from the morning for their $17.99 oil change!! And had I known about this place when I first moved here, they could have taken care of my battery, my tire rotation--even replacing my oil pan (which was damaged irreparably when that well-known, quick-lube oil-change franchise replaced my pan plug with one too large and stripped the threads ... $700+). Matt even checked my brakes for me and told me not to worry, all was well. I can hardly express the relief and peace of mind in finding ONE auto care location for ALL my auto maintenance needs. I don't WANT to have to spend money on my car, but the truth is, I look forward to going back and will never again go anywhere else for an oil change or anything else!! THANK YOU!!!! read more

Amazing service from the team! I'm from out of town and they were able to very quickly help with my car's battery issues in Scottsdale. Fast, friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning back and would recommend to anyone. read more

Good service. Felt like they were reliable and trustworthy. Thank you Mark. Will visit again.

Review my post for Right Toyota and you'll know why I gave them 4 stars. I recommend Jay or Brad, as they were very helpful. Jay believes in Karma... but he's headed to Fountain Hills to work at that store. read more

To start, this is the one on flw and 101. I wish there were more stars to give Sun Devil Auto. I'm a single girl with no husband, no father living here in Az, so I was nervous taking my car to a mechanic. I've been ripped off before. This place is FANTASTIC! Steve the manager is so professional and very kind. He just makes you feel at ease in these stressful car trouble times. They actually did not charge me twice for certain problems. Once a hose was just coming off, they fixed it for free, another time my bumper was loose and the put some bolts in it to hold it together, just as a courtesy. They are HONEST AND VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. Sun Devil Auto gets it right the first time too. I will be a loyal customer forever. I'm telling my neighbors and friends to come here too. Thank you so much Steve and the shop guys for really being so awesome and considerate, it's greatly appreciated! read more

Sun Devil Auto - Auto Repair Near Me - Scottsdale, Arizona

Went here to get a diagnosis on my AC-they were fast and efficient and did everything I needed. The main guy I talked to on the phone was very professional and polite, the other guy I spoke to at at the shop was pretty demeaning at first. The overall quote for an evac and recharge was 120 and to replace a hose was a little over 400. I didn't end up getting an evacuation and recharge because I had gotten a quote for cheaper elsewhere, however getting a diagnostic test was useful and the guy was straight up with me after he realized I knew what I was talking about. read more

I won't take my Mustang anywhere else! When it came time to change all of my fluids, I was looking for an auto shop that wouldn't charge me upwards of $1,000 for a 60,000 mile service. The staff is AMAZING and more than willing to go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. They never tried to talk me into something I didn't need, and the pricing of the service was great. Thank you Seth, and the rest of the Sun Devil Auto staff! read more

I recommend this Sun Devil location. Very professional. Seth, Manager, is very knowledgeable, straightforward and provides great customer service. Every service I have had at this location is exceptional. I recommend them hands down. read more

These guys have been working on my vehicle for the last three years. They are by far the best! They are honest, patient and extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. read more

Sun Devil Auto more like Scum Devil Auto. Be warned these people are cheats!!!!! I went in to get my A/C checked and I left my vehicle and went home. They call about an hour later and quote me at $1800 dollars plus another $300 for a hose and it was $69 dollars to replace a headlight. The manager tells me the whole A/C system needs replacing. I go to two other mechanics to get prices and both tell me the same thing it just needed an A/C charge, the hose wasn't cracked, and a headlight change is 24.99. I am just so glad it was not something more serious, because if your car is down not everyone can go out and get multiple estimates. Shady and fraudulent business practices by a so called valley institution. read more

WARNING!!! This is a favorable review. To many times you only hear from consumers when they are unhappy... I've been going to this Sun Devil Auto for years and thought it was about time for an experienced review. The manager at store #17, Andrew, is first class and is always willing to explain and work with you through any repair. Because of that, I've been sending all of my clients to this Sun Devil Auto. I'm a local real estate broker (scottsdaleeric.com) and therefore constantly being asked for recommendations for different trades. This Sun Devil Auto has definitely earned their way it into that referral network! It always amazes me when people are surprised that they have to maintain/repair the vehicles that they drive everyday. The fact is... Everyone will have to consistently pay for oil changes and routine maintenance on their vehicles. My only wish is that Sun Devil Auto could come up with a monthly automatic debit, because I'd be the first to sign up! read more

Don't really recommend this place unless it's for a basic oil change. Went in the other day asking if they would fixed the squeal noise that happens only when I start my truck. He said okay couple hours later he called said the belt is raw it's no good. We agreed upon it getting replaced thinking that it would get rid of the squeal I was talking about. Nope, nah it didn't get rid of the noise it's still there. read more

Please do NOT take your car here. I have been to multiple Sun Devil Autos and never had any issues. Just because I live in scottsdale does not mean that I am made of money. I felt played out of my money and have had more issues with my car after bringing it to them and paying nearly a grand for it to get fixed(what they claimed needed fixing). Will NOT be taking my car to this Sun Devil auto again. Dishonest Mechanics. read more

We bring our cars here for service every time since it's always a great experience and quality service. We feel like we are getting honest advice and fair prices. The guys are great and have offered to drive us home while our cars get worked on. Just awesome. read more

I love this place. Mercedes wanted to charge me $500 + for the 10K check and oil change, in fact the 10 K check is just a glorified oil change. For $88 I received all the services that Mercedes offers, except for the car wash! And that feeling that you are being ripped off. I love the car but hate being taken advantage of. The Oil they used at Sun devil was excellent synthetic, they can turn off all the stupid lights that are all over the dash. I feel 400+ dollars richer. read more

I called and spoke with the Area Manager who apologized and offered to get me a rental car until my car is repaired. He even offered for us to take it on our trip to California if needed. Thank you Montgomery. I understand mistakes happen but I'm just upset a 2 hour service job has turned into up to a week long frustration. read more

I have been getting service from dealers. I tried Sun Devil. A terrific option nearby that lets you track your service record on line and has access to your auto manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. As a travel nurse who moves every 3 months it is hard to find dependable services. Jose and everyone at sun devil auto went above and beyond my expectations. Thank you, thank you! read more

Great Sun Devil Auto location! Staff is very polite and have great communication. I would highly recommend this place for any automotive issues! read more

I've been taking my vehicles here for oil changes for couple years and they seem to do a good job. They don't scam you by selling you parts/labor that you don't need. Oil changes are at great price but make sure to make apt because they book way ahead since it's such a good deal. read more

Free tire rotation with oil change. Fair prices and use OE parts. Called Friday afternoon for a Saturday morning appointment and got the time I wanted. I'll be back! read more

All the reviews were true! Found SDA on Yelp and I honestly could not have had a more pleasant experience. I went in for an oil change, but would happily take my car there for other services. I will be back! read more

Excellent service - customer attendant Jose was courteous, friendly and provided info on how long, what to expect and results - plus recommended repairs after an oil change and inspection - will be coming back to them for shock replacement :))) read more

Took my Audi Q5 in for an oil change and inspection. Guys were super helpful and awesome to work with. Answered all my questions and took great care of the car. Everything went great. read more

I was so impressed with the service I recieved here by the mechanic David. After driving around to 3 different auto shops to ask about just changing my head light all places told me I would have to pay to remove my battery to access the light. This mechanic was able to replace my light without taking out anything and didn't even charge me for the replacement. As a girl I feel like auto shops are always trying to take my money for every little thing because they think i don't know better. This shop really cared about my needs and helped me without unnecessary trying to take my money. I would highly recommend this place over anywhere in the valley. read more

Awesome place, professional and friendly employees. The quality of work they perform on vehicles is far superior to other auto shops. Their prices are very competitive and fair, despite its being kind Scottsdale. Thanks guys for having me in and out so quickly! read more

Great experience and Jose was awesome. I had a noise coming from my front breaks and jerking motion that came when I put the truck into gear. Turns out the break pads had a crack and a rear control torque arm needed to be replaced. Price was very reasonable, the work was done professionally and quickly. I will bring my truck here in the future. read more

I've been to Sun Devil Auto 5+ times (for regular oil changes and reasons described below). I've never had anything other than a great customer experience from Seth and the team. My last three visits included rear brakes/rotors replacement, 60k factory recommended system flush, tire rotation, etc., and a recent issue with my front brakes making noise. Seth walked me through what needed to be done - he explained how and what was used to inspect the front brakes and even showed me where the problems were occurring with my front brakes once they were removed. Sun Devil Auto will take great care of you and your vehicle, I highly recommend their service. read more

Went here for an oil change. Able to get an appointment the next day. Andrew was very helpful and friendly. There was no up-selling or any other attempts of selling unwanted or unnecessary services that I usually get from other auto shops. Great price on the oil change with coupon. Will definitely be coming back here for future services. Thanks! Andrew is the man! read more

Went to Pep Boys on East Bell Road. Didn't get the feeling that they wanted to help. Left there a little miffed. Checked Yelp and made some calls. Was referred to Sun Devil by Matt at Midas on 90th (honest) because they didn't have correct equipment for my RV. Called Sun Devil. Jose and crew were friendly, knowledgeable, honest, caring, and, just plain nice! Thank you!! read more

I typically take my car to the Honda dealership to get all my services done, most routinely- oil changes. Every time I leave something goes wrong with my car and they try to rip me off for thousands of dollars in maintenance work that is so unnecessary. They never reminded me of my insurance coverage that would've fully covered anything wrong until it was too late and the coverage had run out. Sun Devil auto is right by my work and I read all these other great reviews so I tried it yesterday and it was great. Fabulous prices and Matt and his team were all very nice, informative, and had great attitudes. I will be back in another 3000 miles! Thanks sun devil auto, I really appreciate your business and customer service! read more

Hands down best auto mechanic I've ever been to! Jose is so friendly and helpful and they're prices are very fair. I never feel like I'm getting ripped off or taken advantage of. Highly recommend!! read more

I have been to a few mechanic shops over the past 20+ years. But that is all they were ... "Mechanic shops". Mostly full service...but again mechanic shops. Now that's not to say that Sun Devil isn't a great mechanic shop (which it is), but it is the first of which I felt "at home". The staff are all very knowledgable and give straightforward input on there findings. They don't try the usual bit of "oh while I was in there I found XXXX and it needs to be fixed ASAP". They give you what they find, help prioritize it, and walk through why it is needed, what it's for, and how much it costs. They don't try to pressure or scare you into making more purchases than necessary. They are a pleasure to talk with inside the office and are very personable. It seems that what would be an excruciating lengthy of time just flies by. I have never left the shop and had any regrets. I have found "my" mechanic shop and intend to return whenever service or heaven forbid repairs are needed. I definitely will return to them as each time I've been there is has been a wonderful experience. Thank you to all the staff at Sun Devil Auto!!! read more

Highly recommend this place. Matt and the staff are really friendly and straight forward. Good prices and great service. I get all of my vehicles serviced here. read more

I've never trusted mechanics...until now. Matt, David and the rest of the team at this location have been a god sent. They don't fix what doesn't require repair, and they stand behind their work. Their work is so thorough, that I've referred others to them. They love this Sun Devil also. read more

Absolutely the BEST! I recently purchased a car off Craigslist and the previous owner Jerry rigged the brackets for the catalytic converter. It partially popped off while driving and I was screwed. I managed to put it back into place but it could've came loose again at any moment. I googled and found that sun devil was 10minutes from where I was. I called and explained my situation to Matt and he told me to bring it on in. Only MINUTES before closing. I drove it in and Jose took some info from me, drove it into the garage, lifted the car up and solved my problem in a matter of minutes! I recently moved from out of state and was worried about who or where I'd go to for my car service needs. No need to look any further. I told Matt and Jose that I've found my mechanics! I'll definitely be back!! Excellent customer service. Friendly, knowledgeable. Just really cool guys. read more

I went to Sun Devil to get my car windows tinted, and they did a beautiful job for $200 in 2 hours. I would absolutely go back to them!
