Absolutely the BEST! I recently purchased a car off Craigslist and the previous owner Jerry rigged the brackets for the catalytic converter. It partially popped off while driving and I was screwed. I managed to put it back into place but it could've came loose again at any moment. I googled and found that sun devil was 10minutes from where I was. I called and explained my situation to Matt and he told me to bring it on in. Only MINUTES before closing. Although my 2013 Fusion is only 25 months old, the battery was almost dead on the morning of New Years Eve. Fortunately, there was enough power remaining to barely start the car, so I called Sun Devil from my car to ask for a new battery. Well even though the staff was decently nice when my fiancé and I brought in his car to check why the AC was not working and have ONLY the ac checked we were told that the cabin air filter plus numerous other maintenance items needed to be done. They said as soon as the cabin air filter was taken out the ac worked beautifully! So great you found nothing wrong with the ac just do the filter and other things! Well less than 24 hours later low and behold the ac started to malfunction... Again! We take it back to check it again and get told they never checked the rest of the ac system and now we have to buy a $300 blower motor and that is before labor! We had spent every penny we had already on the other work because we trusted that the tech did his job. Boy were we wrong. Now here we are an uber driver who now can't work because it's 115 degrees out and his ac only works sometimes. How do we pay our bills? No help, no caring, no claimed responsibility on their part and we are left with nothing. Thanks for destroying us! read more

This place is great! Matt, Jose, & crew are the best in the area. No surprise that their parking lot is always full. I found this place because my BMW had a bad battery in the Fry's parking lot and there shop is right there. I walked over and spoke with Matt about my situation and right away he grabbed a jumper box walked with me to my car and got that thing fired up. He then invited me back over so they could do a charging system check and see if it was just the battery or something else. It ended up being just a battery. They had one on the shelf so i had them put it in. While i waited Matt talked with me about the company being a family owned company and that they have about 20 stores in the valley (impressive). He also let me know that their head technician, David is a European specialist that can work on Mercedes, BMW, Audi, just to name a few. This will definitely be the one and only place i will trust to work on my car in the future. read more

I have been taking my 3 cars to this location for years. They have always done a good job at decent prices. Today I brought one of my cars in because I was hearing some grinding noises when I brake. Turns out it was a caliper bolt that came loose. The re-threaded and re-installed the bolt and the brakes now work silently again. I assumed it would be a $50 tab for the work, instead I was given a bill of $0. I call that service! Definitely recommend Sun Devil Auto in Scottsdale. My wife's car had a small oil leak which turned out to be a major issues (over $600). Danny called me to explain, but prior to doing so, proactively called Hyundai to investigate if the issue was covered under warranty. Being the warranty covered the oil leak, Danny suggested we use the Hyundai warranty and avoid having to come out of pocket. From my experience, this is unheard of at any mechanic I've visited. This auto repair facility is truly great. I first visited for an oil change a couple months ago. Today, I noticed a greenish liquid on my garage floor and went to Sun Devil to see what it was. I was anticipating the worst! Luck was smiling on me when Matt told me it was just a radiator cap! They replaced it, refilled the reservoir and tended to a tire issue I had. The total cost. $0.00! I recently moved here from Virginia only to begin to have problems with my car. I wasn't able to pass the emmissions here as the check engine light was on. He researched the problem and told me that the issue should be covered by the car maker under a recall. When I had problems getting the dealership to fix the part and they quoted an insanely high price, Steve helped me work through it with them. I needed my passenger side mirror replaced after some dingbat knocked it off without leaving so much as a note. Matt was so kind, understanding, and eager to help. I just went to get my oil changed. They had a $19.95 special going. First of all there was a younger guy sitting behind the desk and he didn't look to pleased that he was asked to work on my car. I was leaving for LA and needed to get the oil changed before I left. It took 45 minutes and now I know why. By the time I got on the Beeline I started hearing strange noises, and felt something in the steering wheel. I arrived at my destination safely. My buddy in LA works on cars in his garage. We discovered that the oil seal?(I don't know much about cars), Was leaking, not the actual filter, but what it screws into. I was also told that my lower ball joint was bad, and you could tell it had been recently messed with. Apparently Sun Devil did a complete inspection (They told me they did and gave me a list of what they thought should be done). My tire's where low on air, (if they checked, they didn't correct, and one was so worn on the inside, from this place messing with the ball joint, that I had to get them rotated and balanced). My air filter needed to be changed, (They did not suggest that). And by the time I got to LA my dipstick showed hardly any oil. Like I say, I just wanted my oil changed, you know like when you go other places, they check your oil, radiator, wash fluid, tire pressure etc. So my weekend get-a-way in LA ended up costing me $750.00 in auto repairs, all because I tried taking advantage of an oil change special. There are a lot of auto places in Fountain Hills, I suggest to everybody that you DO NOT GO TO SUN DEVIL!!!! I have a favorite, trusting place to go for auto repairs, (They also change oil but you have to make appointments), but wont mention it here because it may lessen the integrity of this Yelp. read more

I had some work done on my '02 Altima at this location once before and was satisfied with both price and service. Recently the car has been pulling to the left so I brought it in to have the alignment checked. I recently had 4 new Michelin tires installed and I don't want them to get worn because the alignment is off. I picked the car up later in the day and was told that they checked the alignment, rotated the tires and checked the tire pressure, all at no charge. Well, I drove the car home last night and felt that the steering was extremely touchy and just did not feel right. It also was not riding as smoothly as it had right after new struts were installed at the first visit to this SunDevil. I checked the tire pressure this morning just to satisfy my curiosity and found that the front tires were pumped up to 42 pounds!!! and the rears had 38 pounds.....33 - 34 is recommended for these 17" tires. Oh well....back to my search for a reliable service center. read more
