DO NOT (and I cannot stress this enough) DO NOT rent a property managed by these people. for the duration of my rental period my toddler and I have been harassed over (harmless) sidewalk chalk drawings. after years of harassment and after our lot was numbered (meaning each unit had a parking space) we resorted to me moving my car to a visitor spot so she can play with chalk. since the numbered spot is affiliated with my condo and I was required to register my vehicle. yet the harassment has not stopped. most complexes cater to their younger tenants and provide a playground. you'd think that'd be the case since our development is surrounded by busy roads. in addition to this I continue to receive fines for things such as my child's father parking in a VISITOR SPACE upon his visits with our child. these people take no accountability. they prey on children and mothers. their greed fuels them above all else. I went from scouring Zillow nearly all day, every day, to finally being able to relax and feel assured Alison would see and send me everything that was available. The unit is larger than other units we saw, high ceiling so it looked spacious compared to other units we saw. Water pressure was excellent, we dont need ro waste lots of water for hot water to start. Ref was good size, enough cabinet space and they gave us new stove/oven. The bedroom was just the right size although heat is central and really could get hot, valve can be adjusted. Windows were big, Unit 9H got lots of sunlight! I didnt like the thin walls, i could hear our neighbor's music and shouts even at weird hours at night. Security breach occured but was quicky addressed by installing new security system. Laundry is good, can monitor thru app. Separate and clean room to push trash and recycleables in basement. No pest seen at all. Ive had mail not received duno how or what happened. Location is very convinient, near supermarket, drugstore, park , restaurants. Supers Larry and Mary were both super and responsive. Kissoon the porter kept out hallway clean, the building was well handled and maintained. I would not have left if my budget allowed it. Our deposit was promptly returned as well. I give my one year stay a 4 star , less one star due to walls not sound proof and noises from the neighbor way past midnight ! Abington head office people Michelle Zilberberg was difficult to get hold of so I am glad Maia Callender would reply when i fail to reach Michelle. Stephanie Martin from finance/account was prompt coordinating our deposit refund and excellent communication. I would recommend this building as long as Supers Larry and Mary Dimech are handling things. They do it pretty well.

He went through hell to do so. The management forced him to live with the roaches for 2 months. Disgusting. Also, a lot of people lost their cars due to the frequent flood in the complex. The management doesn't even mention a word about the flood on purpose. They are deceiving and disgusting. If you are planning to save a couple of hundred bucks by living here, don't. It's almost laughable that they require that. There's zero amenities. When I moved in, they didn't do an official walkthrough and admitted it to us so for a month, with a child, I lived without the heat working, the bath tub stopper wouldn't work, lights wouldn't work in some areas, the sink wouldn't work. Due to unlivable conditions, I threatened to sue and asked for the first month for free. Why? Because again, not only the conditions but without a formal walkthrough, it's illegal to rent out the apartment. They ignored all my messages about it it so I simply didn't pay for that first month and they will probably take it from my security when I leave here, and consistently charging me a late fee still & I've been here now for almost a year. I'm definitely calling a lawyer after I leave. Additionally, out of nowhere, in 30 degree cold weather, on my daughter's birthday, our bedroom heater just stopped working. They asked a few questions and then simply said they will TRY to fix it tomorrow. Like where are we supposed to sleep with a baby? Just out in the living room? On top of that, all of their stoves, fridges etc are extremely outdated. The stove wasn't working when I moved in either and they "fixed" it. It's been horrible to cook on that old thing. Pans all slide off because the electric burners are all crooked. The oven is so outdated, you can't use it. You can only use broil. I had to buy all new cooking equipment including a gas portable burner simply to just not use it. WHY ARE THEY REQUIRING THIS CREDIT SCORE FOR A PIECE OF DUMP? The landscaping is horrible too. One of the trees was so rotten & not properly maintained that during a storm, it just fell on my neighbor's car & broke the whole thing. They then turned it into mulch and for 8 months just left a pile of mulch in my neighbor's front yard. There's so many bugs -- mosquitos, ANTS -- I had a huge infestation over the summer and they do not spray their apartments or provide rodent services, there's geese poo all over in the summer, skunks everywhere & also hiding under the apartments. They do not care. These people take advantage of elderly Asian immigrants who barely speak English. Their rent check system is very outdated and the mailbox where you put the checks were robbed. They asked all tenants to get official police reports or they would STILL CHARGE YOU when it's an error in their end with leaving a mailbox filled with rent checks out in the public, with zero security and no online services. They then sent a mail to all tenants after that if it happens again, it will be our responsibility. Like please tell how you scum's! Hate this place so much
