This morning I got up and when I turned on the shower I noticed the handle was a little harder to…read moreturn. I tried turning it off and it was stuck. The water was running and I had no way to turn it off. A little cursing happened and I went to the basement to turn off the water to the house. After a little bit of a search on 'ye ol' internet I found that our cartridge in our faucet handle went bad. It looked easy enough to do myself so I looked up some videos and found the instructions and got to work. The only hiccup? I needed a new cartridge to replace the broken one. I called Stadium Hardware and spoke to the very friendly Allison who patched me over to plumbing to make sure they had what I needed in stock. Paul helped me out and made sure he had the right item set aside for me. Back to Allison who ran my payment over the phone and I was in my car to pick up the item in minutes. I pulled up to the back and they loaded it in my trunk. Bing bang boom! I was off. And after a bit more cursing, a bit of sweating, and a few false starts our water was back on AND off. FYI -- The store is open to in store shoppers and masks are required. I'm very hardcore about my social distancing due to some vulnerable people in my family so I was really happy to have the curbside pick up option available. Thanks for your help, Stadium!

There's a small lobby / pickup area, with a few cash registers. They're happy to help you search through the computer or paper catalogs, then go grab stuff from the warehouse --- this isn't usually a "wander through the aisles" experience like Home Depot. The light switches I needed were in stock, but had definitely been on various shelves for a while --- the cardboard box was faded and dusty. The switches inside were in good shape, which is what really matters. Nice to have things in town sometimes, but i'm not sure if Boardwalk is really that much simpler than UPS for most of my projects.

I think the final nail in the coffin were the numerous roadblocks that virtually cut off his few remaining loyal customers. We have lost something today that cannot be easily replaced.

The gentleman behind the counter helped me find what I need right away. Service like this you will not get at a big box store! The fact that this place in still in business speaks volumes to the customer service, price and selection offered. As I said, if they don't have it they'll get it for you. I watched them surf all over the net looking for an unusual environmentally friendly fencing I wanted. They couldn't find it, but she sure exhausted every resource she had looking ( I should point out that I could only find one store in all Ann Arbor that had it.. so don't look down on them for not finding it, neither did those big chains). I bought all the rest of the supplies here. I always will. I can't choose a price range because you can buy sunflower seeds for a quarter or supplies to completely redo your household plumbing. But they are always fair.
