Paid street parking is available, or it's really close from most bus stops, downtown berkeley bart station, and campus. The employees here are pretty friendly and quiet. My default is the Baja California - so good! The flavors and textures mesh really well - the crunch of the tempura and cucumbers, the softness of the crab.. mmm. Love this so much. Awesome lunch spot in downtown Berkeley! The interior is nicely decorated and clean. There's plenty of seating inside and a two tables outside. Order at the counter for take out. I grabbed a poke bowl, and they prepped it in less than 5 minutes. The tuna & salmon bowl I ordered was delicious. My only wish was that they put less rice and more of the good stuff, but for under $10 I wasn't bothered. I'd come back if I was in the area like today. Their burittos are my next target. read more

We walked by this restaurant today and I happened to glance at their menu. I love sushi, and a sushi burrito is right up my alley! There was no one else inside. I ordered a vegetarian roll (forgive my awful memory), and they were able to make it vegan. She even offered to replace the sprouts with something else. I really appreciate it when places don't give vegans a hard time, because I know it takes a little more effort on their part. She rolled up my burrito very quickly, and I took my food to go in less than five minutes! I can't speak for how quickly non-vegetarian rolls are made, but mine was extremely fast. As for taste: it was okay. The tofu was too soft for my liking. That may be a personal preference, so I didn't take a star off for that. I took one star off because I don't think anything was seasoned other than the tofu. I really wanted soy sauce for this burrito, and I always think that's a shame. The price was good for the size, and there were a few edamame pods on the side for me. Service and speed were great, but the food could use a little bit of elevation! I'd go back. read more

If I ever make the trek across the Bay to SF I always get a Sushiritto, but not anymore! I'm so happy there is a GOOD sushi buritto place in Berkeley now! They strive to be healthy and delicious which is awesome. For those who have not get had a sushi buritto you should get on this new trend because unlike the ramen burger, this is actually delicious. Decently priced for what you get and the burrito is really big so I usually can only eat half of it at a time. Good for two small meals. There are cooked rolls as well as raw rolls for those who need their sashimi. I prefer the raw rolls - must tries in my opinion are the Shogun and the Poki. Their fish is really fresh and I love how they make their toppings and got creative with them (beet and tumeric slaw whoot!). One thing that I would change about the burritos is have a little less moisture/sauce inside them. The flavors are great but when everything gets too saucy and mushy it's not that enjoyable. The service is great, all the staffs are really friendly, they also have wifi! It can get a bit slow when they're busy, but it's a place you must check out if you are looking for something different, delicious, and healthy for lunch! read more

Eh, it's ok I guess. Far from great, not exactly good. I opted for a special "Seoul Roll" with spicy Korean pork as the protein. It had some shredded carrots and glass noodles, romaine lettuce and some other forgettable ingredients. It took less than 10 minutes (two people were ahead of me). Service was friendly enough but nothing special. Menu price was $10.50, w/tax it was $11.50. The portion was a great size, I couldn't finish it. But that might also be because I didn't like it that much. The ingredients are fresh but there just wasn't much flavor for there to be so many of them. It was spicy, but bland...not sure how that's even possible? I might come back if I'm in the area, but I don't think it was worth the price even if the portion was decent. I am so glad I stopped in today! I looked over the menu and chose the Crustacean. It had wild rock shrimp dill salad, fresh romaine, avomame, fresh carrots, crunchy sea noodles, turmeric house pickled daikon, and spicy aioli in it. I had some wasabi aioli added to mine also. My husband got the Baja California which consisted of tempura shrimp, wild rock crab salad, avomame, organic spring greens, organic beet slaw, house pickled cucumber and spicy aioli. My husband and I kept saying how fresh, crunchy and savory everything was in the most delicious sushiritos we've ever had. We left so full and so satisfied! Wonderful service too. I ordered the Hawaiian roll and asked them to substitute the sauce with something less spicy. It's very fresh but taste wise not as good as Sushirrito. It's also a bit pricy but worth it because the portion is so big, I was full after half a burrito. They're also closed on Sundays and not really open during dinner hours (both times that I have class next door) but the location is convenient since it's near campus and Bart. They make the rolls right in front of you when you order and I always ask for no avomame, their magic green sauce that makes the rolls too mushy. Our order was placed in a bag, waiting on a table close to the door, with the receipt printed and waiting for me to sign. So easy and efficient. I ordered the Upstream (salmon), and there was too much aioli (ginger soy flavored mayo). The crunchy sea noodles aren't actually that crunchy. The fresh romaine just makes it all seem more like a salad rolled up with rice and seaweed. Sounds healthy, but once you add the aioli it's probably quite calorific. It's also quite a decent amount of food for $11. Next time I think I'd go with the shinsen or midori and tell them to go light on the aioli. read more

We originally ordered two Kamikaze sushi rolls, but we changed our minds halfway through and wanted to switch one to a Hawaiian and the workers were very accommodating. Overall the food was amazing and super filling for the price ($9.75 for the Kamikaze and $11.00 for the Hawaiian). The kamikaze was our favorite and just the right amount of spicy. The Hawaiian was good too, but not as flavorful. As a sashimi lover, I would have loved for the Hawaiian to have had more sushi. That immediately caught my attention and I had to go in. I got the Shogun and a Baja sushi burrito. I'm not a big fan of sea food, so the shogun is a perfect alternative. I got the Baja for my dad, and he absolutely loved it. He said it reminded him of a huge California roll. They were so friendly and gave me alternatives to substitute something that I didn't want.
