Andy was super responsive to my needs and went above and beyond when I was delayed at being able to come check out my dream trailer. Todd was great with the financing, listened to what I wanted (and didn't want) and made all that paperwork easy peasy. David was STELLAR with my walk-through and even got my last minute request of vent covers completed in a timely manner. Everyone in the parts department were nice (especially the gal who went to to see if there were any other vent covers in the color I wanted, so sorry I forgot to get your name) and I had a great time buying allll the things. (Warning: it sort of feels like drunk shopping so be prepared! ) My best advice on buying a trailer: take your time. Do your research. Visit all the dealerships. Really spend time in the units that interest you. Is there enough storage? Counter space? When you find THE ONE, go for it but know your limits. read more

I was shocked to see the review about high prices! I have shopped every Outdoors RV, Nash, and Wildwood dealer in the west and Sumner RV's prices were predominantly lower than anyone. With the very low prices, I assumed there would be extra costs I would have to pay, such as PDI fees. One dealer quoted me over $3000 on top of their sale price to do a delivery and activate the warranty. At Sumner RV, it was included! Dealing with them was comfortable and efficient. I felt like a family member while at their dealership. Thank you Sumner RV! I am so glad I didn't put much merit in the few bad reviews I found. The service person, sitting in his desk, was very in instance that he did not want to lengthen my brand new safety chains so they do not cross (as is Washington law), because I did not recognize this before I left the showroom floor. And the total experience was that he did not want to support the customer, only to save a dollars at the expense of a customer. We will never recommend them again. read more

I ordered a simple tandem axle skirt for my fifth wheel. they said that total cost was $189 delivered. the part only probably weighs about 2 lbs. then I look on my bank account and they then decided to charge me $130 to ship the stupid thing. complete bs and very piss poor customer service. I then asked them if I could return it and they said that they will charge me ano $130 to return it. i will never buy anything from these crooks again and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. completely pathetic!!! read more

Sumner RV operates the website: https://www.rvpartsdirect.net/ I found them in my search for Keystone RV parts. Specifically for a new fender for my travel trailer. Their website requires you to leave RV make, model, vin # and pictures of the part you want. Else you are held responsible for ordering the wrong part and incur the cost of return shipping (if eligible for return). All the necessary information plus pictures were provided. I get a (missed) call about an hour later from Zach Miller who leaves a voicemail. I tried calling and leaving several messages to order the part. Zach never returns any of my calls. So a few weeks later I decided to submit my request through the website again. Success! Zach finally calls me back. I order the "fender" and am told I will be sent a separate invoice after shipping as they could not calculate the exact shipping cost. Shipping ends up being almost 4x the cost of the part itself! Whatever, fine, I need this part. My "fender" arrives as I'm picking up my daughters from school and I see on the Ring cam, a long tube sitting on my porch. Right away I know my fender is not in that long skinny tube. I get home and sure enough it is not a fender. I open the package to find a long strip of black aluminum roofing trim. To be fair, it turns out that the fender on my trailer is made from this trim but your average consumer will not have the tools or experience to turn this trim into a fender. Zach, you are grossly incompetent. I ordered a fender, you know an actual RV part. Not a piece of building material. You could have communicated this to me at the time and I could have decided not to place an order. The invoice I paid specifically reads fender not roofing trim. You wasted my time and money. Instead of doing the right thing you made me fight for my money back. Until now I had never disputed a credit card transaction and what a hassle it was. Good news! After waiting 60 days to investigate, the dispute was decided in my favor! If you the reader, have found yourself in a similar situation with Sumner RV/RV Parts Direct and strongly feel that the error was made on their end. Dispute the transaction. Bought a truck camper here.. they told me it had a leak before at a clearance light but they had fixed it prior to selling it.. the leak wasn't fixed and I ended up with a lot of deamination and water polling in the front cap. After cleaning out as much mildew and mold as possible I took it to them to repair the front cap.. after what was said to be a 2 week job I got my camper back about 2 months later. A month or 2 after that I noticed the mattress was covered in mold/mildew again aswell as in the cabinet by the head of the bed, it was covered in black mold. I since have wrote them repeatedly about the issue and they disregard it and have now resorted to completely ignoring me. Andy and Justin at sumner RV refuse to accept fault or contact me back. My camper has been in the shop for a almost a year now. I decided to pull it out and vheck the seals myself. Only to find the self level sealant they applied to the cap where it meets the roof had a big hole in it and was wet and tacky in that one spot. Clearly they didn't prep it when they sealed it and that's where the water intrusion was that created so much mold and more deamination right after the "repairs" they did.. I Wrote Andy two days ago Aug 6, 2024 informing him and no word yet. I don't expect him to reach out because he always pushes the issues and blames to someone else such as Justin and then Justin never gets back either. They have until Aug 16, 2024 to respond or I'm getting an attorney. Spoke to an attorney 9 months ago who believes they can hold Sumner Rv liable for the entire camper due to selling it under false pretenses.. so we will see where things go now that there is also a failed repair that is going ignored aswell. read more

Ordered some tape and was told it was in. Just went to pick it up and the woman behind the counter said she couldn't find it and the parts guy was out to lunch. After 15 minutes waiting to determine it wasn't going to be found today, I was about to ask her to sell me a different color tape when some yahoo walks in the store, steps right in front of me when I was midsentence with my request, and the dumb, rude woman proceeds to wait on him. I am so VERY GRATEFUL for the advice that I received regarding my Onan generator in my class A motorhome. I have been struggling with this generator for about seven months: purchasing and installing new parts, including a new fuel pump, plugs, oil, air filter, and circuit card with no real results. In addition, I spoke on the phone with Cummings service technicians and visited their generator repair shops and spoke with mechanics at those shops. The net of the mechanics advice is that they might be able to repair it for about $2,000 (labor rate of $150 per hour)--clearly not worth it!! Then I visited Sumner RV Center and spoke with Charles. Charles provided advice and a reference to a Onan repair person near my home. He came to my house and spent about 6 hours diagnosing and repairing my generator (at a very reasonable labor rate). He replaced the new circuit card with the original and the new fuel pump with the original and put in a new set of points!! Bought a new Northwood Nash RV from a different dealer that needed warranty service. This dealer refused my request to do the warranty service because they said they wouldn't work on the issue as it wasn't big enough and that I did not purchase the RV from them. Northwood Nash has a horrible dealer network. It is not like a car where you can go to any dealer for warranty repairs. Apparently RV dealers can refuse your warranty request. read more

Sumner rv is a great place to shop for an rv but definitely not for rv parts. I recently needed a valve for my toilet so I went to sumner rv as my pervious experiences were fabulous. I was greeted by the gentleman at the parts counter and I told him what I needed and he took me directly to the part and was very helpful. He rang up the part and told me it was eighty plus dollars after the Inslee up charge. The actual up charge is sumner rv. The exact part on Amazon is 46 dollars as is camping world. I prefer to support local business but if local business wants to price gouge I will support big business and pass on supporting local business. Even with factoring in gas for driving camping world is cheaper for the exact same part (46 vs 70 plus). read more

Finally got a call back and was told that they're not taking new customers at this time simply because they're booked until late July. I purchased a used travel trailer from a couple who purchased it from Sumner RV years ago. I was looking for a replacement part and thought I'd inquire with them since the TT was originally sold there. I submitted an online request, left a detailed voice mail at the parts department, and then called back and talked with a gentleman about the need for a part...he took down my info and said he'd place it in the parts department... still haven't heard a thing via phone or email after 6 days. In the market to upgrade to our first brand new fifth wheel. Andy Williams of Sumner RV was very helpful and pleasant to work with as was everyone else we dealt with at Sumner RV. After much shopping around and research, we decided to go back to Sumner RV. We got a fantastic deal on a Glacier Peak 5th wheel. We traded in our old 5th wheel and everything went flawless with the deal. They were very thorough in our walk through. We had an issue with the trailer lights not working and through troubleshooting determined it was a faulty fuse in our truck. They replaced it without charge and we went on our way. We haven't had to contact the service department yet, but we feel like with the service we got from them at the time of delivery, we won't anticipate a problem. Very honest people and company. Very dissatisfied with the service department. That's why I changed from 5 to 3 stars! They never call back and have had many issues with poor service. read more

To be updated upon receipt of my fifth wheel. UPDATE Well have had nothing but poor service and bad luck with these people. Bought my fifth wheel last October. It has had problems since the day they delivered it. I battled with the Poulsbo location where I bought it because of many issues to include no heat, flooding from pipes that were not connected and the smell of propane inside. I had to pay $250 to have it taken to Sumner because "the issue I am having is way above the mechanics abilities in Poulsbo". I made them a video outlining each issue. I have had it back for a 3 weeks. The heat works when it wants, the air conditioner now only works when it wants, it is still leaking under the bed in the pop out to the point there is rust and mold. I have left 3 messages for the service manager Charlie no reply. I left a message for the Marketing Director again no reply. This company will take your money and leave you completely screwed. I have contacted the BBB, WA State Attorney General and everywhere I ever go I will make sure people know how I was treated and the product they don't stand behind. read more

I had to email more than 3 times before I even got a response. Then they sent us the parts and they were not compatible with our RV at all. We had sent very detailed description and pictures of what we were looking for. After we received the incorrect parts I emailed Sumner right away. Crickets. I had to email multiple times over the next couple of months. And then when they got back to me they said I had had the parts for too long and so they couldn't do anything about it. My husband and I bought an Arctic Fox 5th Wheel from Sumner RV. It was our first time buying an RV and could not have asked for a better experience. This place feels like a family. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. My husband does tons of research on items before he buys anything let alone a purchase of this magnitude. Most people get put off by the many questions he asks. Not Sumner. I'm sure that as their email inboxes were flooded they were tired of hearing from him on a day to day basis about our order, but you would not know it from talking with them. They were polite, caring and attentive from day one to the end of the process. Christine was our sales rep, and she really did go above and beyond the call of a sales rep, as did all the others that worked on this project for my husband and I. We had a custom order from the manufacture and all the folks at Sumner RV Center made sure that everything was the way we wanted it. My husband had some other custom work he wanted done once the RV came in and the service technicians Justin, and Rob did everything they could to meet all the needs that my husband had asked for and they were always willing to spend as much time was needed discussing the ins and outs of each option. When the day came to pick up our unit, the owner greeted us with a friendly smile and handshake and was very personable, then Christine showed us our unit and introduced us to Tim who went over every little working detail with us. They took their time and we never felt rushed. Justin, Rob and some other technicians installed our hitch for us and made sure that it was attached properly. My husband and I had looked at hundreds of rv's during our search and spoke with many dealerships. I felt that all of the other dealerships were at one extreme or another, either so pushy they didn't give you room to breathe or so passive that you couldn't get any help if you wanted it whereas Sumner seemed to find that perfect spot in the middle, giving you all the help you wanted without feeling pushy and aggressive. I am finished with the service department! We used them mainly because they are conveniently located for us. But I'm done! Every time we have used them we had to take it back to have them redo their work. Last year we had them dewinterize the water lines. I asked them to not hook up the ice maker. They charged me for the plug and then never screwed it on. We had a major water mess! This year, we had them check the house batteries. Found that they needed to be replaced and they charged us over $350 for LABOR! If I had gone to Les Schwab , the install would be included . Never again. Absolutely horrible work! read more

Bought 2 cans of EPDM roof seal and trailer was wrecked they wouldn't take it back because it was chemical supposedly. Guess you should notify or state on paperwork that rule. Stated nowhere anywhere. Would be looking at new RV's there but not anymore, CS was good before until now. read more

They told me that's all that is available. They should have told me that up front when I ordered the window. I gave them the VIN and a picture of the window. Things were going great until after we purchased our RV....they FORGOT to mail in the payment to process all the licensing paperwork. How does someone forget to do that? Now I have an RV that has been sitting for TWO months and I cannot use it, I still am waiting on plates. This place is the biggest joke. They also advertise "Price Match Guarantee" but will not match prices; the owner couldn't even take the time to email me back. Well worth it not to spend your hard earned money here. We bought our TT out of state so weren't a buying customer. Tried to schedule an appointment last winter for some warranty issues but was told that they take care of their customers first and aren't required to do warranty repairs anyway. I did get an appointment for the first part of March but that was rescheduled due to Covid. Finally took it in in late April and was told they would need it for 3 to 3 1/2 weeks. I let it go for 3weeks then called to tell them I was picking it up that afternoon. The only thing they had done was fix 1 screw, oh yeah, they did reseal the trim. It had a cracked speaker that hadn't been ordered and they couldn't replicate the refer not switching. They did order the speaker after I left and I installed it myself. Charlie is an ass. I had another problem with the charge wire from the solar panel toward the end of the warranty and was told that it probably wouldn't be fixed under warranty. I contacted the manufacturer and have since been to La Grande and had it repaired as well as some other things that I didn't ask for. Charlie is an ass! Beware of their parts department. I inquired about a piece of J Wrap for my Flagstaff travel trailer that was damaged when a tire blew. I read in several forums that the J Wrap normally costs about $5 per linear foot and comes in 4', 8', and 12' lengths. I only needed 4' so I figured I was looking at about $20.00 plus shipping. Sumner RV quoted me $85.00 plus shipping. When I asked about the price, I was told that they didn't know anything about the $5.00 per foot price but the $85.00 quoted price was correct. I decided to drive to my local dealer after obtaining the correct part number from Flagstaff. Although it is only sold in the lengths above, the cost is figured by the foot and was $5.42 per foot. My 4' length is costing me $21.68 plus tax and shipping. Sumner wanted 4 times that for the same piece. Buyer beware! read more

My girlfriend and I went in to look at a used motorhome. Andy was our salesman, we got qualified for the purchase & then when we said we wanted to think about it. The salesman told us that another salesman had a customer interested in the same motorhome & they needed a deposit so we had 1st crack at it. Later that day received a call from our salesman & he told us the other people were going to buy it and would be back to pick it up on Saturday. Now it is Wednesday the following week & it's still sitting on the lot. If I could give them a 1/2 star I would. Two years after we purchased a Wind River RV from them we had a huge leak in the roof that cost us a small fortune to get fixed. The salesman never said anything to us about getting the roof sealed on a yearly basis to keep this from happening. Apparently there sales staff know nothing about the RV's they are selling. We had our previous RV for 10 years and never had one roof leak. Justin in the service department is rude and horrible to work with. Well, we gave them two chances to fix our rv, the first time it was a power issue, we got it back in worse shape than we took it. They fixed it, but now I am wondering if I was overcharged because what they originally thought was the problem required an expensive part but that didn't work. The second time was a gas issue, the charged me 65 bucks and said the gas valve was closed and it now worked fine, it did not. I took it to another dealer who was awesome. What really turned me off is both times I thought I knew what was wrong but they treated me like I was stupid. Turned out I was right both times. read more

I took the part and receipt in hoping for some type of exchange or discount on a new one. No luck, was told flat out "nope, we only warranty for 30 days."
