Went in on a recommendation from a family friend while our son & his family were looking for the perfect trailer and wow, just wow!!! within an hour we were so pleased with the salesman, his knowledge and his ability to pick the "perfect" trailer. The condition excellent & price perfect for his budget so SOLD!! Process quick & easy and they said we'd have it in a weekish. Then, in the middle of the night the motel they were staying in caught fire, they were safe but now homeless. In 2016 we were in the market for a Class C RV. We did the JC tour and were not impressed with the pricing, you could buy a house for that kind of money, so we started looking at pre owned campers. As luck would have it, we went out looking in January and it was raining like crazy.... which was good for us! One dealership we went to had water dripping out of the light fixtures, vents and down the walls of every single camper we looked at. We finally went to Summit and met Ray. It was still raining, but after looking through a few models, not one had a leak. I asked about that and was told that they like to seal the roof and edges for that very reason. We found a nice 23' that had been previously owned and was in good shape. We purchased that unit and enjoyed it for years, now, fast forward to present day.... As needs change, we found it prudent to list this camper for sale and we plan to get another in a couple years, but for now, we have other goals. We took the camper back to Summit and discussed doing a consignment sale with them. They made it so easy as we owned the camper free and clear AND we kept a folder of all the add ons and maintenance work we had done. We simply gave them a price that we wanted to get for it and that was it! After they ran through their quality and mechanical assessments and listed it on their web site, I received a call a few days ago that it had been sold and they have a check waiting for me! A little over two weeks and it was done! Ray and Jerry made buying AND selling through them so easy and painless that I can't imagine going anywhere else in the future! On Wednesday, October 28, 2020 I Emailed "Ray" that I would like to come and see a 1993 Foretravel RV they have on Craigslist on Saturday the 31st and I would be coming from south of Canby (about an hour and a half drive), his answer: "yes, that would work" . I arrive at just about 09:30 AM as I had said in my Email and a young guy comes out to show it to me, I ask him to start it up please, "oh, it won't run" and "maybe you could come back another time" was the reply. This RV is more than likely a consignment, they are doing nothing to help the owner if this is the case and they certainly didn't gain a customer today even though this was just right close to what I was looking for, bottom line after 3 hours shot and much gas wasted. I wouldn't buy food from these folks if I was hungry. read more

Kevin and Scott at Summit RV are great. We took our newly-purchased 24' 1992 Wilderness trailer there to get some rot repair done in the bathroom. The repair turned out WAY more extensive than was anticipated. What we thought would be just flooring issues, was incorrect. Scott, the technician, detected rot all the way up the back wall of the trailer, as well as the side up to the side door. He replaced ALL the rot and reinforced everything. He replaced our bathroom skylight and completely re-sealed the roof. Not to mention our old awning and other little things that made a difference. Scott did a TOP-NOTCH job, and we were informed of all necessary repairs. We checked in from time to time and physically saw the repair process! We are SO PLEASED with the finished product, and the time and effort to make things perfect in our wonderful trailer! read more

SHADY!!! A year and a half ago my husband had a stroke. He is no longer able to drive our RV, so we listed it on craigslist. Summit RV called us on the ad and offered to place it on consignment. We have a lot going on and figured they would be able to offer people financing and reach more potential buyers, so we agreed. In hindsight I really wish we had done a little more research! Summit agreed to come pick our trailer up and tow it to their lot for $100. It sat there for about four months and we still had not gotten any offers. A friend of ours was interested in looking at it so we sent them out to summit. They found that one of the stabilizing jacks was leaking fluid and reported it to the salesman. They also let us know that summit had tacked on $15,000 to our asking price as their commission. Guess I should have clarified this when we listed it. We paid $60,000 when we bought it and were only asking to get back 30,000. Figured this would give the consignment place plenty of room to get a decent commission, but honestly I was thinking 5 to 10,000. No wonder we weren't getting any offers. Waited a couple of weeks expecting someone to call us back letting us know about the leaking stabilizing jack. Crickets. We finally drove out there to take a look at the trailer ourselves and pointed out the leak. They said that they were always doing walk arounds and would have noticed it if it was going on for very long, but that they were sure it was recent and not that bad. Not going to argue, we just asked them to get it fixed because we had an extended warranty. They refused to turn it in to the warranty company because they said that would be "insurance fraud". Their solution was to wipe off the stabilizer and pretend it never happened. It was getting toward the end of summer and we asked summit to take care of the roof cleaning and conditioning. They told us they would charge $100 to do this. We asked them four times to please take care of this over a several weeks. When they finally did they sent us a bill for over $150. They said that they had found a leak and had gone ahead and patched it without our consent. When we said we weren't going to pay for something we had not authorized they got mad and said that they had used two tubes of caulking and gone to a lot of work to do this for us. Two tubes of caulking?! I am not a trained RV repair expert, but take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself. I feel like this guy should stick to decorating gingerbread houses. After all of these things we were done dealing with these people and requested that they just tow our RV back to our home. That's when they told us that they didn't have a truck capable of getting it back up our driveway, which is long and fairly steep. (An RV sales place that advertises towing and has no diesel/ 4WD vehicle). Would have sure been great to have them mention this before they towed it down our driveway. Nobody did. Long story short: We ended up having to tow it to a friends house where we could only park it for two weeks. We ended up taking a huge loss to get it sold in that time frame. Final icing on the cake: we needed to hook the RV up to a generator so that the new buyer could test it out. Turns out the expensive conversion cable that we had with the trailer had been stolen and replaced by a much cheaper, less functional one. They probably figured they would sell it and nobody would ever notice. We noticed. This is not a reputable dealership. There are way too many other choices out there to even consider dealing with people who are comfortable doing business this way. read more

Horrible experience with this place! We have a Class A motorhome that we are selling and live 2 hours from this place. We were working with "Jerry", a salesman there. We had the floors cleaned right before bringing it to this dealership, and a few of the vinyl tiles lifted a little. We asked Jerry if we should fix it first before coming down, and he said, "Oh yeah, we deal with this stuff all the time. We can fix it here." He did nothing with it, and proceeded to show our RV to people. After a few people made comments about the floor, he said we would need to replace the floor and he "had a guy" who could do it. We received a quote from his referral, and it was at least 2x what it would cost to do the work. We asked Jerry if we could find another company in the area to do the work and asked if they could do it there at the dealership, to which he said "sure." After a few weeks of having people go see the rv and collecting quotes, we finally found someone to do it. As soon as we called Summit RV to set up the appt. to have the work done, then all of a sudden they said that they wouldn't allow anyone to do the work on their lot. Needless to say, we immediately drove down there on that very wknd to pick up our RV. We feel that we were lied to (by Jerry) in order to get our RV down there, so he could take a stab at selling it. He never did anything to the floors, as he said he would. He didn't even mention it- just wanted to sign that contract. And then, after wasting our time and the time of the other flooring companies, he is just very smug about the whole thing. Even when my husband when in to get the keys, he asked if he needed to sign anything to take our rig back, and Jerry replied, "no need to sign anything. we haven't done anything with your rv since you dropped it off." What kind of people do they have working at this place? I have never experienced such poor treatment from a dealership. They obviously don't care about their customers. They didn't just lose us as a customer, but all of the RVers we know. Skip this dealership and go to one of the MANY others on the same street. read more

We took our RV to Summit RV to sell on consignment. They told us that they sell their RV's in 1-2 months. Our RV was spotless when we brought it in. We called them during the winter and said we were worried that the roof sealant may be old in spots and need repair. We asked that they check it and make sure there was no leaking. They assured us that they regularly check the RV's for any leaks. After 9 months we were concerned that it had not yet been sold. We called and asked what price they were listing it as. The blue book value at the time was $15,000-17,000. They would not tell us what price they were selling it for. Our son called and found they were listing it for $18,900 and that the man he talked to had the wrong year of our RV. At this point we decided to go get it back. Upon arrival our RV had water damage around the skylight in the shower area, there was mold in the refrigerator and in the toilet, and the new marine batteries were completely run down. When I complained the man said "well, we don't know if that damage was there when you brought it in...". I was livid. I said "so your company is not going to take any responsibility for the damage you caused?". He mumbled something and walked away. If there was a way I could give this company negative stars, I would. I think we were a little naive in this situation but we have learned the hard way. I hope you don't have to. read more

Once corrections were brought to light, the finance department was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I would recommend any other RV dealer. read more

I used Summit RV to consign my 5 year old travel trailer. This was by far the worst consumer decision I have made in a long time. I was encouraged initially when the salesman came to pick up my trailer (for a fee) and said he would likely be able to sell it in 60 days. The trailer needed a good deep clean and a few minor repairs for which they said they could do for $300. I happily obliged. After not selling the trailer for over a year and rarely returning my phone calls I was able to get a potential buyer to look at the trailer on their lot. She informed me that the batteries had been stolen and the trailer was still dirty and none of the repairs were done. When I confronted the owner over the phone, he informed me that he didn't think he needed to inform me of the theft if they just replaced the batteries. Long story short, this place blows. Bad customer service, shady information, and zero accountability. I still don't know what I got for my extra $300... read more
