Richard B. in the sales department is BEYOND rude. Look bro, if you're having a bad day, call in or find another job. We needed to order a piece (we didn't measure because they can do that here) ... he got upset when he had to measure it, sighed and threw down his computer mouse. We come here frequently and spend tons of money. No need for that kind of attitude. Do better, SUMMIT......Next time, we'll let someone go in front of us if he's the next cashier open. read more

Horrible place to do business with!! I did an online order and they gave me one price over the phone and drove 30miles to this location for them to tell me a much higher price ...the customer service is horrible I'll just take my business back to JEGS or LMR where I feel appreciated !! read more

I visit this business twice. Beautiful store great inventory well organized very polite and to the point. Thank you for being there at a great experience coming back. I build custom bikes, and they have all the parts I ever need. Jerry. read more

I love the variety of products offered at Summit Racing, I'm not a big car gal but anytime my family visits the store we take our time exploring! From 3D puzzles, Diecast Cars, Sweaters, Sunglasses to Plushies there's a gift for anyone on your Christmas list car-inclined or not. I appreciate the added level of caution Summit is taking by marking the aisles for easy flow traffic and the free face masks at the door! Very pleased with my most recent visit! read more

It's great having a Summit store you can walk into for parts and to talk to staff. And it's a nice store, seems like they have everything on display to see and touch. But their purchase online, pickup in store process sucks. Big sign that says "Pickup prepaid orders here" but both times I've been redirected to customer service to stand inline to "activate" my order. This last time, the item was back ordered and the site indicated it would be shipped to my house. Next thing I get is a notice my part is in and I have to go pick it up by xx date. Couldn't get an explanation from the staff on why. Then it took 20mins to pull the part. When I asked why, the first cashier said "it wasn't here yet". No kidding, I wouldn't still be standing here would I? The woman standing next to her seemed to be a supervisor and told me it was because it was a big part and the warehouse was as a mile long so I would just have to wait. Needless to say I was not impressed with their customer service skills. I'll be shopping for more parts but won't necessarily default to Summit just because their local since I don't feel like I've saved myself any time. read more

I was having a problem finding tire sensors for my ram pickup and thought I would try summit . But to my surprise they sold me ones that had been returned. I'm a 69 yr old man that remembers when there was pride in your work but in this case I felt no pride there . The parts had wrench marks on them meaning someone had put them on there tires . So I took them back and ask for some that had not been used . But to to my surprise again this was a comment practice to resell returns as if they are new . I waited for a hour before I decided to ask for my money back and walk out . And to my surprise the order had been pulled but my name had not been called . I am a black old man that knows when something smells like a skunk. A policeman showed up as if I was going to starting a ruckus . So I politely walked over to the side where he had been standing for the last 15 minutes as if he was watching me and he left . I felt as if he was there to keep an eye on me . Basically I felt unwanted in the store because I wanted what I paid for . I will never go in this establishment ever again read more

Terrible customer service. 6-8 employees standing around in the part pick up area. Laughter and joking while customers are waiting for parts. A guy in the curbside area said he had been waiting for 45 minutes. It took me almost that to get mine inside and I came out and he was still there. Navy vet. Nice guy but we are both tired of the horrible customer service at this location read more

Could not even find a proper air filter after given the number stock number myself and the order wasn't put in correctly. Also would not give military discount after asking twice. Should be out of business. read more

Beautiful brand new store .... a car guys nirvana . But their options for older vehicles , pre '70 Chevy is pretty limited unless you do universal . Otherwise definitely a car guys toy store . read more

Very disappointed with their service. Short rude answer on the phone with no help. For the amount of money you spend at this place the least they can do is answer the phone in a polite manner. Don't bother calling and holding for long periods of time it'll just be a waste of time. read more

If you order parts online and pay in advance do not think this will save you time when you get there. They may sell car parts that make your car go fast, but their service moves like my 98 year old grandmother with her walker. read more

Every experience with Summit has been great. Thanks for the service and consistency of quality.

I order refrigeration hose and received the wrong thing. You can't call them or talk to a person. This is not the first time - It will be the last. No More Summit for me EVER!!! read more

Really cool spot to checkout if you're in the area. Huge collection of car parts and displays.

I went to summit Racing to buy parts for my truck cause im rebuilding the engine myself. The sales Representative Richard was being racist in a way and calling me out that they only sell racing parts. wasnt very friendly and thought i was stupid like yo. read more

They always have the parts I need and at a good price. The shipping costs are a little annoying sometimes but that's why I always make a $100 order for that free shipping. Racecar! read more

Stay away from Richard sales guy, he has an attitude of a high school girl. lately I've had the luck of going through him the past three times. Next time ill wait for the next sales guy to open up. People like me spend thousands on parts just to be treated bad by the same person, he definitely needs to move to another department or be fired. read more

Unfortunately my experience here wasn't pleasant, a worker name Richard was very disrespectful towards me and my husband. He wasn't helpful nor had patience, he made multiple comments towards my husband and giving a awful attitude towards us. I would've had a better experience here if he wasn't working there. read more

First I bought a Summit Racing Muffler Kit, the inlet and the outlet was backwards. I called and I was placed on hold for 1 1/2 hrs that's right. So I went to the store which is 45 minutes away and explain to them about the error and yes the instructions were wrong. Plus since it was wrong that's why it didn't fit. Another weekend I decided to drive up there and discuss wheels for my 2001 F150 and the guy behind the counter gave me a printout of what I should buy for my truck. 16x8 5-4 1/2" Pro Comp 69 and the proper lugs to match. Simple Right? WRONG! I ordered my rims from Amazon to specs from the guy behind the counter and I asked him "They are for my 2001 f150 right?" He said "Yes Sir" Well that information was WRONG! So now I'm going to ship these rims back plus pay a shipping fee, why? I went to Summit Racing thinking they know what the Hell they're selling. Moral of my story is "If you see or think about stopping at Summit Racing punch yourself in the Dick and it will hurt less" I only wish I could give no Stars. read more

I bought a part online for $105.82 from Summit Racing Equipment and received an email stating my part would arrive tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went, and next day I checked directly with Lonestar Delivery Service. Another nightmare, they claimed my address was bad. It's an hour wait on hold for Summit and an hour on hold for Lonestar Delivery. Summit said it's Lonestar's fault, Lonestar said it's Summit Racing's fault. They deserve each other. Fast forward to day 4 and several calls and hours on hold to both of these places, finally Lonestar says my package is on hold at their warehouse 51 miles from my residence. I told the girl with Lonestar I'm leaving to pick it up, right as I'm walking out the door to drive there  Denise with Lonestar calls and says Lonestar lost my package, don't come. She said she was going to advance this issue up to management, and an hour later she again calls and says we found it, but it's getting late, do you want us to just put it on the truck for delivery tomorrow? I asked if she was joking...I've lived in my home for over 14 years and all addresses everyone has are correct. I drove 102 miles round trip in Houston 5:00 pm traffic to pickup the package from the Houston Lonestar warehouse. Bottom Line, I will NEVER deal with either of these companies again, but they are definitely perfect for each other! read more

Completely disappointed. Ordered wheels and tires only to have the delivery for the tires continually pushed out. Picked a second choice but they would have shipped to my house. That doesn't make much sense considering Summit would do the installation. Finally decided to cut my losses and cancel. read more

Really really big warehouse that has absolutely nothing. And staff that has no clue about cars!! Come on guys, are you gonna let a girl show you how it's done?? Never have products in stock. Always have to ship them out. What's the point of all that space? Also you guys need to hire more staff. I am in there way too long. And I'm having someone who has no clue of what parts do. Why are you working here then? If you're reading the reviews to figure out what this part of a ford truck does.... read more

Great place and fast service. They have always had my part in stock. Best place in town for automotive parts.

This is the Best thing that could have came to Texas. It's very convenient for the weekend motor head. I have never had issues ordering online and it's nice to go in the store and be able to view a product before you buy it. read more

Can I give 0-stars?! First time & last time coming here. There is a greeter at the front greeting you as you walk in, we were not greeted. We intentionally came here to purchase parts, but they lack JEEP, GMC & MUSTANG parts and have no real organization. Their main products are for older/classic cars, but they don't even really have a lot to pick from. No one offered us assistance while we were there. Don't bother getting shirt if you are a size small or medium because they only have larger sizes available. The cherry on top was when we were walking out, the same greeter stopped us to check our bags & receipt. BUT he didn't bother to check two "Caucasian males" there were behind us. If that isn't racially profiling then I don't know what is. Save your time & shop elsewhere. read more

Me again! Just got off the phone with a very nice customer service lady! Nothing to do with her, but DAMN!!!! I ordered a Manuel back on 2-9 it is now 3-24 called to check on the status of my order in an email I have they said it would be here on the 23rd I figured let's give them an extra day! Nope! still not in... an " estimated " ship date in the computer. Says the first week of April? We'll see I'm not ordering shit from this place again. Unbelievable! Called again today 4-9 won't be in until the 20th read more

This place sucks. Lots of attitude and rudeness. There were five cashiers only one was actually working. Others were taking to each other while there was a line of three people waiting. If you use a credit card they want your life history or you have to use cash. Very tacky way of collecting information to solicit you. Manager Amanda is rude and would know how to be polite and smile if someone tried to teach her. Bad karma! read more

After driving to all the major auto parts stores in North Dallas and not finding what I needed, someone told me about Summit. I was looking for some shocks for my grandsons lifted Dodge pickup truck, he had just gotten. No one at the other places had what we were looking for. bought an 800 dollar griffin radiator, only had it installed for 7 months when the radiator began to leak. Since I bought the radiator a while before installation and use, it was out of warranty when the radiator failed and I couldn't return it. The only reason I'm leaving a review on google is because summit didn't post my review. If your buying a radiator consider the limited warranty. 1-800 radiator offers life time warranty but the most any summit radiator can do is 2 years of warranty is what I was told. And yes 1-800 sell performance radiators as well. read more

As an obsessive automobile lover and a long time Summit Racing catalog connoisseur, I decided to make the pilgrimage of 47 miles just to check this place out, and it was the best decision of my entire life!!! And let me tell you, I make a lot of decisions. And everyone tells me I make the best decisions. And this one was THE best decision I have ever made! Not since my parents surprised with an impromptu visit to Toys R Us on my birthday in 1985 have I been this overwhelmed by so many shiny, glimmering objects flaring up all of my ADDs, vying for my attention. I zig zagged through all the aisles like I was on a shopping spree wearing skates. Their selection on any component is vast. So much to choose from, very well displayed and spaced out, good lighting. The layout is well thought out and the warehouse in the back stretches for miles! It is heaven for gear heads. You'll find everything you need here. Make the trek out. it's worth it. read more

The process of ordering online and picking up at the store is a disaster. I ordered a $7.99 ignition switch. When I was online there was no place to say if someone else was picking up the part. I printed the receipt and asked my wife to pick it up. She stood in the cashier line for 10 minutes only to be told to go to the customer service line. At customer service she was told since the receipt was in my name they would refund my money and redo it with her purchasing. They replace the order WITH MY NAME ON IT and she stands again for another 20 minutes waiting for it to be pulled from the back. She goes to the front and asks on the status and is told the part is on the floor. She was supposed to know after being told to wait on the part that it was actually on the floor. Instead of helping her the first time and getting the part they were more focused on pushing her aside. After 45 minutes in the store she left with the $7.99 part. Unless they make strong, dramatic and vastly improved ordering and customer service process this store will fail as no one is willing to waste their time for something that should have been easily resolved. read more
