I know NOTHING about cars, with that being said, someone who actually enjoys cars would probably have a blast here as there's lots of parts, tools, merch, signs, and much more. The closest one to us California folk is in Nevada, so make sure you stop by one of these if you get a chance to. Aside from car related parts, tools, accessories, there's some car related merch such as shirts, hats, plushies, toys, metal license plates and signs, magnets, etc. Some items, you have to request at the cashier for them to prepare it for you at the pick up side and depending on what you ordered, this may take some time, so just keep that in mind. read more

If you use your phone or a computer to buy items when you're not home, be aware. You have to bring the credit card and your ID. I'm having my car worked on and the shop called that additional parts were needed, so I have the app and the card on my phone so I purchased the items and I was at work so when I get off I can pick them up and drop them off. I get there show the cashier the order number and my ID and then tells me they can't take the card on the phone. So why have all this and an app for convenience. I bring that stuff to the store then they proceed to tell me if I would like it ship to my home I wouldn't have show anything and call customer service and change it . Then I would have to pay $47.00 dollars to have it shipped and then that means I need to have someone at the house to get it then now we are four days of getting the parts. I don't live in Arlington I live in east Dallas so that 45 minutes away. I shopped there many times spent a lot money there to be treated like that, not good. I know now i just take my business elsewhere. I did talk to management and he said sometimes they let people make it but I guess not today. They said because they have a high rate of fraud if I was doing that I just ship it to house no ID and no card showed .. I purchased a set's of Brembo metallic brake pads, and my front rotors got chewed up in a few months. I thought it was something i had done wrong, so I went back to Summit and purchased a set of pads and rotors two months later the rotors are chewed up again. Come to find out it was the pads causing the problem. I took the old parts back and they would not credit them because I didnt purchase the replacement parts form them. i will not be back. read more

I failed to realize I would have to produce a EXTRA receipt for a $12.96 purchase of 4 spark plugs. What a waist of time. Summit seems to be strangled by it's own policies and procedures. Another gentleman and myself stood in the "Ordered and paid online" line for 10 minutes while the one clerk delt with, what I assume was, a difficult customer. The cashers 10 feet away with no customers in line did nothing to help as our line grew to 4. When I got up to the line I found my Order Summery was not a receipt. I needed a online receipt to go with my order summery. Never mind that in order to get the paper I had I had to go to another website and get through it to actually GET the order summery. It said I needed the website receipt in the very small print, Pickup Instructions. Canceled my order. I'll go to my local O'Reilly's. read more

It's nice to see that some companies do actually care about their customers enough to read reviews and take action when something isn't right. This is definitely rare these days but I appreciate it greatly especially from a company I have used for many years and want to continue using! OP: When Coker tire wouldn't warranty a product that Summit sold me, Summit would not do anything either because "we won't get credit from Coker" (a direct quote from the customer service rep.) - Even though I spend thousands of dollars a year on parts from Summit. A huge company cares about a FEW dollars off of ONE product instead of THOUSANDS of dollars from 100s of parts. Time to go back to JEGS. read more

Absolutely disappointed. I do not have time to mess around with delays and bs. When I am purchasing parts one of the biggest determining factors is when can I get the parts. I used to use Summit for alot but have not alot recently. I thought I knew what to expect. After 3 days they have just now shipped when the estimated arrival was 1-2 days. Now im over a week out before expected arrival and I will be forced to return everything and pick up from my local supply house. I'm only deducting one star because they actually had the tools we needed in stock so we didn't have to wait for shipping. Plus, we love this place! However, the whole COVID19 curbside pickup ordeal was NOT something I would recommend to anyone. We drove all the way to Arlington from North Fort Worth only to sit in our truck in the hot parking spot, calling over and over again the number listed on the sign. We got hung up on three times...it was crazy. When we flagged down an employee he said we have to just keep calling the number. It was a bit aggravating but we FINALLY got through after over half an hour. They came out with our tools, checked out ID against our credit card, no problems. And we went about our day. Now that they're open, I'm sure it's much better but DANG! No one wanted to answer the phone, and more and more vehicles kept pulling up trying to get through the phone as well. Maybe get this organized a little better, have a designated person to just answer phones. That would alleviate a LOT of anxiety for people who've already paid for expensive tools and just want their product brought out to them. read more

Just visited Summit Racing to buy a part for my truck. They were helpful getting me the correct part I needed. What was not helpful is the price match guarantee to Amazon. They would not honor the price as they said they would. So ended up buying it on Amazon instead. Not only was it a fast delivery but the additional items for the brakes that was in the package was great. Almost all new parts for a super low price. I ordered online and was expecting curbside pickup. I seen people coming and going so I went in and was pleasantly greeted and directed to customer service when I asked about pickups. Customer Service was very fast to assign an attendant to me so that I could retrieve my part from the shelf. Upon returning to the counter, the young lady noticed my part was on Manager Special. Since I paid online, it took a minute or two to apply that discount. I thought WOW! Usually you hear, "We don't have anything to do with online prices or payments." When I showed ID for my purchase, she noticed I am a veteran and informed me that she would apply that discount as well! My sister used my car .. got in an accident and tore the bumper cover off. I looked on line and saw Summit had one for a good price. (not the cheapest) with a 1 -7 day delivery time. Ordered the part. I live in Texas and Summit has all ways had a good reputation here. Got the email that they got the order and would send a tracking number when shipped. A week goes by, and another .. no tracking number .. I log in to my account and and it says its back ordered and I should get it sometime in September! That's 3 months from now! You need to speak to a salesman to get your parts, then you need to go to the cashier to pay, then you need to wait for the warehouse staff to get your parts and have your name called. The only way to speed it up any more is if you know what parts and their part numbers that you need and go directly to the cashier line and give them the numbers. If you need specific help on your project's engine/drivetrain, some of the salesman can help you, as they've been there since the store opened. The store has a somewhat high turnover rate, so you may not get the help you need from every salesman. It's nice to have Summit in town to get performance parts for your classic car, but if you want to get in and out as quickly as possible, do your own research and know what you want before you go in. read more
