Hello. I was referred to this dentist because I had a cracked tooth. I was seen by the staff of…read moreEndodontic Associates today at their Fort Wayne, IN, Dupont Rd. location. I was referred there by Mercy Seat Dentistry for a #3 cracked tooth. My appointment there was immediately rippled with unpleasantries upon my encounter with the first employee, the most blonde receptionist. I was immediately asked for my insurance card before they asked for any type of personal identification. I told them that my referring dentist should have that information. I was informed that they would have no problem billing me and I could provide my insurance at a later time. The first nurse to take x-rays was professional. She asked me about my charting and I said that yes I had filled it out correctly. I was told I had to go to another room for more x-rays. The next nurse who took the next x-rays started out professionally until she informed me that I needed a visual oral cancer screening. I respectfully declined that and make a note of it. The initial meeting with the dentist, Dr. Bryce, was cordial, but then turned to an unauthorized head and neck examination followed by a verbally unauthorized oral cancer screening. I then informed the Dr. I had a right to deny the oral cancer screening, but he said he didn't know if I had that right to deny it. After a final disagreement with the same receptionist while she required a $200 down payment, I asked if I was being detained and left the premises. Future customers here forfeit all rights and liberties at the door.

Having had a traumatic experience with a dentist when I was very young - decades ago! - I have…read moregreat anxiety about going to the dentist. Imagine my distress, now, being told I needed a Root Canal!! I was *so* upset, I put it off for two years. The only other time I had a root canal, I had to have gas (very hard for the endodontist to work under these conditions) and I needed a friend in the room with me, holding my hand the entire time. ENDODONTICS OF MICHIANA: WHAT A DIFFERENCE! WHAT A RELIEF! WHAT A GREAT DOCTOR! I was amazed to find such an excellent endodondist/dentist like Dr. Bradley Swanson!! He was calm, reassuring, and totally professional. He took time, explained everything, and was simply GREAT. BEYOND GREAT! It was an easy procedure. It didn't hurt much at all. Dr. Swanson's Assistant, Christina, was also very personable, warm, and reassuring. I highly recommend Dr. Bradley Swanson and Endodontics of Michiana to anyone in need of a root canal or other dental work. BTW: This is the very first review I have ever written for YELP. Never before have I have I been so impressed as to both to write a review (good or bad). However, I feel *so* strongly about the high quality of treatment I received from Dr. Swanson that I decided I *must* write a review. THANK YOU.

I cannot thank Dr. Swanson and his team enough for making my root canal therapy as easy as…read morepossible. I came to Dr. Swanson having already visited one endodontist. This endodontist was not able to perform the root canal because he was not able to get me numb and just gave up. Having had this experience on top of my dental anxiety I was terrified coming into Dr. Swanson's office. Dr. Swanson and his team were thourough in all aspects of my visit. They made me feel comfortable (music playing in the exam room!) and fully explained everything they were going to do and again as they did it. Again I had a very difficult time getting numb but Dr. Swanson was incredibly patient and persistent until I couldn't feel a thing. Took about 4 trys but he finally got there! The procedure was quick, painfree, and I left the office much more comfortable than I came in. He also prescribed some pain medicine for the few days following the procedure when the tooth is sensitive. If you need any type of endodontic therapy go see Dr. Swanson! My only wish is he did other dental work so I could see him for all my teeth needs!

I had a root canal on a damaged molar this morning. After the initial discomfort of numbing…read moreinjections, it was pain free and even the level of noise was minimal. I actually fell asleep (with no sedatives) and napped through the latter half of the procedure. The staff - desk staff, hygienist, and Dr. Fisher - were all welcoming, friendly, concerned about my comfort and convenience, and very respectful and professional in practice. They were transparent about the cost at the time the appointment was scheduled, and it was within norms for this procedure on this type of tooth (I am a health economist and epidemiologist and have access to good data on pricing to compare it to). I was referred to this practice by another dentist, and Lafayette Endodontics had responded to the referral and called me to schedule the appointment withing 10 minutes of leaving the referring dentist's office. All pre-treatment paperwork (except for signing off on consent for the particular procedure) was completed with a simple on-line form they sent me a link to and which required less than 10 minutes to complete as a new patient. I hope no one needs Dr. Fisher's services, but if you do I strongly recommend using him.

It seems super strange to review an endodontist, but hey, sometimes you review weird places…read more About 18 months ago, my usual dentist told me I'd eventually need a root canal. The tooth had been vaguely bothering me, so I decided to finally do it, and got a referral to Dr. Patterson. I went in a couple of weeks ago and very quickly got escorted back to the room I was going to be root canaled in (is that a verb?). Dr. Patterson came in and talked to me first, which I appreciated. We chatted about pain management protocols (he's very aware of opioid addiction and helping his patients avoid that), which I appreciated (although I'm not an addict, I have family members who are). He walked me through some of the specifics for my procedure, since there are several options, and explained the various pieces of equipment he was going to use. Overall, he made me feel comfortable with *him*, rather than making my feel like I was just one of ten root canals that day. His assistant made sure I was warm (they have blankets!), and we got started. The procedure itself was painless. I had my headphones on, I zoned out, Dr. Patterson and his dental assistant did their thing. Afterwards, it was a little sore, but nothing ibuprofen couldn't handle. I have a follow up next week for part 2. Three fun facts: #1, Dr. Patterson's father was one of the founders of endodontics. #2, Someone loved their root canal so much they literally wrote poetry about it. #3, If you have errant hairs on your chin that you have to pluck...wait until after your procedure. Your face is all numb, so you can pluck them pain-free! Honestly, I hope I don't have to go back, because I'd rather not have messed up teeth. But if I do have to have another root canal, I'll certainly go to Dr. Patterson.
