Ahmad came to our home to provide a free quote and spent nearly two hours thoroughly inspecting both the roof and the attic. That level of detail immediately set them apart. He took the time to explain everything clearly, which gave us a lot of confidence in their process. We received six different bids, and Master Roofing's was by far the most comprehensive. It was clear that other companies were leaving out items that likely would have shown up later as added costs. With Master Roofing, everything was transparent upfront. Before the project even started, McKay and Kris came out to walk us through the entire process. They were professional, thorough, and made sure we knew exactly what to expect. Throughout the project, Cole (the project manager) was exceptional. His communication was consistent, proactive, and incredibly helpful. We always felt informed and taken care of. The crew was fantastic...friendly, professional, and efficient. They worked quickly without sacrificing quality, kept the job site clean each day, and were very respectful of our property. They even finished the project about half a day earlier than expected. After completion, McKay stopped by to personally check everything over and make sure we were satisfied, which really speaks to their level of care and accountability. I highly recommend Master Roofing. Do your homework and get multiple estimates...you'll quickly see why this company stands out.

Every aspect of the home is customized for our wants and needs and we're thrilled with the way it turned out. If you can dream it, they can build it. The drawback to that is there are so many options and choices - the sky (and your budget) is really the limit - so at times the process can be a bit daunting. Just come prepared and ask lots of questions. We really appreciate the quality of the finished product as well. Before selecting MK, we considered a few of the big box builders. We were quite surprised that one of them (Ivory Homes) did not include central A/C in their base price. MK included central A/C, cemented crawl space, thicker exterior walls, higher grade windows, etc. in its initial pricing. Mike Klauck Construction has also been very good about following up with the minor issues we noticed after closing. Their warranty/servicing department has been responsive, conscientious and has not had to come back a second time for any issues they have resolved. Positives * Great value for the price * Honesty and integrity - we felt they were very fair with us and always worked with our best interests in mind * Made good on every promise - there were no outstanding warranty items, contractor liens, etc. * Included cemented crawl space and thicker exterior walls in their base price when most other builders were charging extra * Great ability to adapt our initial plans into something feasible * Super friendly staff * Warranty service Opportunities for Improvement * Communication - they have a sophisticated phone app to track progress all along the way - they just need to use it more. * A bit more "hand holding" for first-time custom home buyers would make the process easier Overall, we would definitely recommend MK to anyone looking for a custom home buyer.

He applied sealant in a couple of areas where the house wasn't perfectly flat to make sure we don't have a future water issue. He made sure everything was level, functioned properly, and looked beautiful. Very pleased with the end result and cost was fair. James had extra tools and materials that I didn't anticipate would be needed. Had I tried to do this project myself, it would have taken several back-and-forth trips to a hardware store and easily one or two full days up on a ladder. He also took the time to answer all of my questions about other HVAC issues (our custom home builder ghosted us on all our home warranty claims), provide bids to get things fixed, as well as bids for potential future upgrades we were considering, like adding a UV light and whole-home humidifier. Some contractors do sloppy work because they are trying to get to a job and leave as quickly as they can. Utah Quality Heating & Cooling is not like that. Quality work and pride in workmanship shouldn't be uncommon, but it is. "Quality" is a great word to use in the name of this small business. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy pro who will take time to answer questions, provide fair bids/estimates, isn't sale-zy, and who will prioritize doing the job well over doing the job fast. My wife and I will definitely be keeping Utah Quality Heating & Cooling's contact information as our go-to HVAC company and we look forward to having them visit us again soon to take care of other fixes and upgrades. :-)

I vetted a bunch of HVAC companies before deciding to go with Utah Quality Heating and Cooling, and I'm glad I did. A key reason why I went with them is that I felt like they didn't try to oversell. They listened, sized the system right for our home. The installers were polite and kept things clean throughout the process (which my wife definitely appreciated). 5-stars all across for these guys!

The Crew this…read morecompany contracted out to do the work did a good job for the most part they did leave a bit of a mess in some areas (namely nails from the shingles on the roof). Initially we went with them because they had said that they would make working with the insurance company seamless and extremely easy. They said they would take care of everything. Oh how wrong that statement was. after 1 month of them doing the initial work John West the owner sent a letter to us saying that he had put a lien on our house for non-payment, he then continued to call, text and email my wife demanding that we pay him. come to find out at that time he had not even sent the invoice to our insurance company or supplied them with any photos of the completed work, so they could cut the depreciation check for us to pay him. It then took him another 5 months to finally give the insurance company the needed information for them to send the payment out. After he sent me several emails demanding to know why this was taking so long, I called my insurance company to find out that all of this. When I sent him an email and then later had a conversation with him on the phone pointing out that it had taken so long because he was not suppling them the needed information. He got very irrational, defensive and insistent that he was now the victim of me "Harassing & Bullying him" he then proceeded to threaten me with filing lawsuits against me with his lawyer. Through an email exchange lasting over several hours he would insist that I continued to owe him varying amounts of money(changing with every email). The only type of invoices he would provide me were with, were jpegs of crumbled up pieces of paper that were scribbled and highlighted on barely even able to be read, (not a PDF as is standard with every other business.) The amount of disrespect, frustration and unprofessionalism we experienced while dealing with John can not be overstated or fully comprehended in this review. Many of my neighbors used him and I have not talked with one of them that did not have a bad experience with dealing with him.

I hired Snowbird to replace my roof in 2023. In December 2024 we looked in the attic and noticed the roofing crew had replaced a damaged roof panel as requested in the contract, but had completely boarded over the vent for the bathroom fan. They left the vent hose laying on our attic insulation, which has been venting water condensation directly on our attic insulation. It wasn't worse because there happened to be a valley in the hose that held the water. We dumped over a gallon of accumulated condensation water out, that had been accumulating over a year! They also failed to replace a previously water-damaged roofing panel as requested when we hired them. That moldy damaged panel is still in place. Absolutely unacceptable.
