Every aspect of the home is customized for our wants and needs and we're thrilled with the way it turned out. If you can dream it, they can build it. The drawback to that is there are so many options and choices - the sky (and your budget) is really the limit - so at times the process can be a bit daunting. Just come prepared and ask lots of questions. We really appreciate the quality of the finished product as well. Before selecting MK, we considered a few of the big box builders. We were quite surprised that one of them (Ivory Homes) did not include central A/C in their base price. MK included central A/C, cemented crawl space, thicker exterior walls, higher grade windows, etc. in its initial pricing. Mike Klauck Construction has also been very good about following up with the minor issues we noticed after closing. Their warranty/servicing department has been responsive, conscientious and has not had to come back a second time for any issues they have resolved. Positives * Great value for the price * Honesty and integrity - we felt they were very fair with us and always worked with our best interests in mind * Made good on every promise - there were no outstanding warranty items, contractor liens, etc. * Included cemented crawl space and thicker exterior walls in their base price when most other builders were charging extra * Great ability to adapt our initial plans into something feasible * Super friendly staff * Warranty service Opportunities for Improvement * Communication - they have a sophisticated phone app to track progress all along the way - they just need to use it more. * A bit more "hand holding" for first-time custom home buyers would make the process easier Overall, we would definitely recommend MK to anyone looking for a custom home buyer.

I was shocked when the one I called, Spettro, answered on my first call, and then said they could be at my house in a couple hours. Levi was on time, friendly, and gave us a quote for our bathroom the next day. Once we approved it, it was done in like a week, and it was incredibly affordable. I then chose them to do my commercial build and they've been amazing there too! So happy I chose them, would do it over and over again!

When some of my plan changed for what I was going to be able to do myself they pivoted with literally no notice and took on the extra work themselves. Plus they did amazing things like picked up my counter tops for me because I didn't have a big enough vehicle. They made amazing suggestions, and then get them done in like a day. Plus they are the MOST affordable contractor I looked at!! So glad we chose them!! I would do it 1000 times over.
