This is something I didn't even think to do! Even without the insurance payout, their quote was about half the cost of the other company. Once it came time to do the work, I was in constant communication with the foreman. The guys tore off the old roof in a day and put up the new in a second day. The following morning the dumpster was gone. Again, by starting an insurance claim they put money in my pocket before they even knew if I would be a customer! I'm generally nervous about home renovations because I'm pretty dumb when it comes to this sort of thing. I believe the competitor tried to take advantage of my ignorance. King Roofing did right by me and I would recommend them to ANYBODY who needs their house retopped. Thanks!!!

My first incident I should of ran the other way is when MTM caused fraud by depositing the check from the insurance company that did not even have their name on the check. Neither myself or my mortgage company gave them permission to deposit the check. We only found out about the check when the sales guy Ben came to the house to have us choose shingles. At that time Ben was telling us that since we do not have an attic to check what is under the previous shingles it could cost us up to $10,000 more out of pocket. At this point we told Ben that we was told the roof would only cost us our deductible of $1000. We asked for the check that Frontier Claims had sent to them so we could return it to the insurance company. We went back and forth and they finally agreed to give us a written letter stating it would not cost us over $1000. When they showed to drop off shingles they wanted us to sign a waiver that if anything happened to the roof or shingles we would be liable. We did not do that. They next day the crew showed up to start the job with no dumpster or shingles. When the dumpster arrived they hit our home causing damage, when they left for the night the yard was left a nightmare with the wooden planks all over the yard and also boards of sheathing all over, against tress, fence, windows. They said they would come the next day and clean. There was a wind storm that night that caused damage to our garage from the dumpster not being secured down. They showed up on Friday but it was stormy so they couldn't work, they also did not clean up the mess from before. We tried to ask but they did not speak english. Saturday they showed up to work and we saw several things that really concerned us. We brought them up to Ryan he stated everything would look great and done correctly when it was done. They came back Monday to finish and this was when the real nightmare started. What they called a finished job was complete devastation for us. Roof looked horrible and wavy, holes in out plaster exterior, very unfinished, and lots of interior damage. We called immediatly and they stated they would be held liable for all damages to be repaired and gave us a signed document. We have been fighting with them sense to get it fixed. Know it has done even more damage to my home with water leaking into our home, out home was built in 1936 so it is made of plaster not sheetrock. We are looking at thousands of dollars of damage to get every thing put back to what it was before they started since it has went on so long. Cracks in plaster, ceilings starting to bubble, vinyl fence has homes, raingutters that do not work at all so water is running into the house, holes in the outside stucco, shingles all wavy and not tight, gaps in the valleys of the roof, none of the roof finished correctly so water getting into the home. We have sent them several contractors to fix it but they want a quick cheap fix and all the contractors say the roof needs to be completely demoed and redon correctly. WE have gave them plenty of time to fix and they do not want to, so know we will be going the legal route to try and get our home back to what it was. Writing an update because the images from my last review were all removed because a few images were…read morefrom a neighbor's home. I am uploading only photos of my home this time, per review guidelines. I self-contracted our home for the last 6 months and have knowledge on the subject as I was forced to have several roofers, contractors, and manufacturers inspect Alex's work. Our superintendent even got in touch with Alex's crew directly and they informed him that they knowingly used a bad batch of shingles because they were trying to dry in the home too quickly. It was also evident that the underlayment ice shield was not pulled tight as it should have been, which caused the ripple effect. I will not excuse the framers (as Alex points out) for their part, but the issue with shingles and ice shield were not because of framing. You can see in the images the issues caused by the framing and then you can clearly see rippling as well. The sheathing did not delaminate but did warp, and a good/responsible roofer would call that out instead of knowingly installing bad shingles on a roof you know will have issues. Perhaps Alex has been roofing longer under a different company... but his original license was issued in 2022. I prefer not to communicate this way but as Alex has not replied to a single text message or call, it seems this was the only option to get his attention.

I've had a leak in my roof and I've really needed to get it fixed. I saw an ad from this company…read moreand they said that they could see if they could get your insurance to get your roof paid for through an insurance claim. I gave them a call. First off, the technician that came out was in a hurry and he didn't inspect it thoroughly because he had another appointment. He came back another day and inspected it a little better. He left some roof shingles lifted up so the adjuster could see it. When he found out that we had Travelers Insurance he was more optimistic to see if he could get the claim to go through. The insurance adjuster came out and said that because there wasn't enough wind damage on the roof and all that he could do was approve a claim to fix or ceiling for $1400. Why would I fix my ceiling until I get my roof leak fixed? The technician told me that they would try to appeal the claim and it may take up to 5 -6 months to get the appeal to approve. He also said that they would tarp the part of the roof so it wouldn't leak. Another rain storm and roof leaked again. I asked if they heard anything back from the insurance and was told by the technician that they were still in negotiations but that the insurance might stand firm in the claim not going through. I'm not disappointed but the claim, I'm disappointed that the technician did not do thorough inspections or even go into my attic or even put up a tarp like he said he would. I will change my rating if they contact me with good news or bad news. I'm not going to chase them. I'm the customer. Right now, I feel like a number.

Got to talking about plans for the door hole patch on the east side and the need to paint and fix more things - Kris mentioned he had crews able to do all the work needed. The price he quoted was as good as the roof & gutters cost. Again the crews did beautiful work putting up the hardy board siding to cover the patch - painting and installing beautiful aluminum soffit and fascia. I can't pick my jaw up of the ground. My house is no longer the ugliest place on the street.
