We are K9 Club Members, which is the best deal to get all the perks they have to offer. Our dogs get so excited when we pull up to drop them off. It is so reassuring that we have a place to take them where they feel loved. We also recommend their training program. Our dogs did a two week course and it changed our lives. Can't recommend them enough!!!!

The online scheduling was convenient, but the website was difficult to navigate and had several features that didn't work properly. The front desk employee was extremely friendly and helpful when I called about signing up for the free 14-day trial. Our first visit was okay, but the baths were disappointing. The dogs still had dirt on their coats, my hands became dirty after petting them, and I had to rewash parts of them at home. I chose not to complain because I wanted to give the facility another chance. At the second visit, our dogs were noticeably more reluctant to enter the building. Staff also informed us that dogs may share kennels, which concerned me even if they're from the same household. When we picked them up, one of my German Shepherds, Violet, had diarrhea, feces on her tail and legs, and fresh abrasions and swelling on her nose that were not present before drop-off. I was never informed during the appointment that she had become sick. I had to clean and bathe her again after getting home. My partner called to express our concerns, and the front desk employee was again kind, apologetic, and said he would pass everything to a supervisor. Unfortunately, my conversation with the supervisor was the complete opposite. Rather than showing empathy, she immediately became defensive, insisted Violet's nose injury existed before the appointment, implied we were providing inaccurate information, and repeatedly focused on my "tone" instead of addressing our concerns. At no point did she apologize or acknowledge how upsetting it was to pick up an injured dog. We decided to cancel the membership during the advertised free trial. We were told it couldn't be canceled until after we were charged and then we'd have to request a refund, which made little sense for a trial period. We were also required to repay the 40% grooming discount that came with the membership. While I expected that part, it was frustrating considering we were canceling because of our experience. I do want to recognize the groomer who groomed our two poodles. She did an excellent job, and I happily tipped her 20%. I also want to commend the front desk employee for being consistently kind and professional. Ultimately, it wasn't the grooming itself that lost our business--it was the lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism from management when concerns were raised. If our concerns had simply been acknowledged and addressed with compassion, we likely would have remained customers. Instead, we'll be taking our dogs elsewhere.

I really was worried because i didn't know if they would be okay while they were getting a bath and everything, but we heard they loved it and everything went well. Thank you PetSmart if Layton for taking great care of us and our puppies, we will definitely be back soon. Thank you all.

We go to buy the clippers and they are $99 in store, but $77 if we buy online from petsmart.com. They say there is nothing they can do about that. Also fine I guess. Stupid, but fine. We are in a hurry so we just buy them. The employee says the person who can grab them for us out of the back is on break and we will have to wait. We wait 20 minutes before the person gets back from break. They go to the back and then come back out saying they are actually out of stock of those clippers! At this point we've waited 30 minutes. They look up in the system and tell us a different petsmart location has them in stock and we can go buy them there. Then they make us "return" what we already bought because they can't just let us go pick them up from the other store. How is this location still in business? Why do we even bother going to a brick and mortar?? Amazon it is from here on out.

I tried a group training class and it was a miserable fail... we were basically kicked out. I was given a lot of advice, but after weeks of going to parks and walks, I wasn't making any progress. Thats where K9 fluent came in. I love their training options and structure. I did a 10 day boot camp. The training seems expensive, but is an amazing value since it includes them working with your dog, private lessons, group lessons, an e collar, and a place cot. They picked him up in the mornings and dropped him off at night. The private lessons were great so that we could start working with him at home. I've only joined one group class, but it was a great way to keep working on our skills. They do such a great job to really challenge your pup and put them in different real life situations. I'm so glad I was recommended to them. I had looked at numerous trainers, but I didn't feel comfortable with any of them. Many were too far away, had poor communication, or mixed reviews. Thats not the case with k9 fluent. We immediately felt comfortable with the owner when we had our consultation. Every trainer with the company has been knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. 10/10 recommend.

After our 15 day boot camp and personal lessons she has come a long way. Of course she's a dog and a young lab mix, so she still is high energy and "Go, Go, Go!" But she has far more restraint now. The team will train your pup in whatever language you choose or multiple if you decide to go that route. We chose German and they did a great job following our choice. Everyone is friendly and love to have your dog join them for training. Laika, our pup, was so excited to go to training every day when we dropped her off in the morning. If you need training and want to know your dog will be respected and loved like you do at home, go with K9 Fluent. When I was considering which company to go with for training, I was most concerned with the different methods companies use to train the dogs. K9 Fluent will demonstrate their methods and show you the difference between E-collar and a shock-collar. I detest shock collars, and was a bit hesitant about an E-collar, but after I was able to test the collar on myself I completely understood my dog would not be hurt or punished by pain when being trained. You won't regret this, get your graduation photo on the board along with Laika!

But this dog dragged me anywhere he wanted to go. Someone told me about Jan and Live Oak and I thought I'd at least try. I walked into her facility for our first class and I walked out with another dog... and I don't mean I traded! Jan is a PRO. No gimmicks just calm, clear instruction for you as well as your dog. She'd make a wonderful therapist. She'll meet with you and your dog first to see if you, your dog, and she are a good fit. Then she'll make a plan and you're ready. I don't know how she does what she does that enables you to translate it to your dog. We were in a large class and everyone was getting it. She watches everything to help you and to prevent negative interactions between dogs. I promise we're not related, I'm just so grateful because she saved my relationship with my dog...who is now incredible!!

Today they wanted to reschedule our appointment 50 minutes before the appointment because a new groomer was afraid of the dog. Granted this is the first time Ive heard of a complaint. These groomers deal with dogs all the time, why are they afraid of a little Shih Tzu? Makes no sense and why did they hire someone so brand new to grooming, they cant groom a shih tzu sized dog? I understand being afraid of a Chow, but not a Shih Tzu. The poor planning on their part, the inexperience of their team, and their quick-to-shave my dog when they find some matted hair, have led me to cancel all business with Petco and seek grooming elsewhere. They got muzzles for a reason. If they are afraid of a Shih Tzu, do you want them grooming your dog?
