K9 Fluent is an amazing training group. They did a wonderful job with our sweet dog Laika. She has…read morea lot of energy, and had trouble listening when she was excited. After our 15 day boot camp and personal lessons she has come a long way. Of course she's a dog and a young lab mix, so she still is high energy and "Go, Go, Go!" But she has far more restraint now. The team will train your pup in whatever language you choose or multiple if you decide to go that route. We chose German and they did a great job following our choice. Everyone is friendly and love to have your dog join them for training. Laika, our pup, was so excited to go to training every day when we dropped her off in the morning. If you need training and want to know your dog will be respected and loved like you do at home, go with K9 Fluent. When I was considering which company to go with for training, I was most concerned with the different methods companies use to train the dogs. K9 Fluent will demonstrate their methods and show you the difference between E-collar and a shock-collar. I detest shock collars, and was a bit hesitant about an E-collar, but after I was able to test the collar on myself I completely understood my dog would not be hurt or punished by pain when being trained. You won't regret this, get your graduation photo on the board along with Laika!

Max is the laziest, sweetest, and cuddliest dog I have ever had. He's also my first herding dog…read more Boy, these dogs are so intelligent that it blows my mind! Before Alex, my partner and I were at a loss as to what to do about Max. He was getting worse and worse with his (leash) reactivity. In the home, he would just laze about and bring toys to us to play with him or would just play by himself. But we dreaded taking him outside on the leash because any dog we would see would turn him into a rabid zombie. There were a lot of breakdowns on my part and feeling like a terrible dog mom so we finally bit the bullet and chose the two week board and train with Alex. Getting into contact was smooth and easy and we chose a drop off and pick up time. Alex sent a picture or video every day and also answered any questions we had along the way if we had any questions about why he did a training a certain way in a video. I am blown away by not only how knowledgeable Alex is when it comes to understanding dogs individually (Max's terrible reactivity got worse and worse because he had been going to daycare two times a week for ten months and had been getting bullied so now he gets into fearful attack mode - Alex's astute observation) but also understand me and my partner and correcting us on our behavior. He figured it out right away at our first pick up lesson after the training and my partner told him "heel" and Max looked at him and then "heeled" next to me (yes, Max is a total mama's boy). It's been a little over a month since Max has come home to us from his board and training. Is he a perfectly trained dog now? Not at all! Does he have a solid foundation that Alex trained him with and now my partner and I just have to train ourselves to communicate better with Max so we are all on the same page? Absolutely! Sending your dog to Alex (or any trainer) is not going to be a magical fix. Your relationship with your dog is just that--a relationship. Both parties need to keep working together until you're on the same page. I have texted Alex my questions (and, sometimes, my breakdowns of how terrible I must be at this) and he has always been willing to meet and do a training session and help us out. I have never felt blown off or ignored by Alex. His constructive and kind criticism has always been incredibly helpful and you can tell that he cares a lot about the dogs and want the dogs to be happy with their families. Max isn't perfect and he's still a 2-year-old angsty teenager. But he's trying his best to do what we want him to do and we are trying our best to tell him what we need from him. Alex has been amazing in helping us connect the two concepts. Our walks are smoother and our picture takings are prettier. Bottom line: Alex is absolutely worth it. He's patient, helpful, and has the right mindset when it comes to teaching dogs AND people.

I adopted my Schnoodle from a rescue agency, and he came packaged with some *bad* habits. I've had…read moredogs all my life and knew what to expect, but this little guy is complex. Luckily, we worked through 4 sessions with Steven Myers and I'm fairly convinced he could train Cerberus given enough patience and owner effort. He listened to my specific concerns (biting, barking, using the house as a port-a-potty) and addressed each one through training - training of both myself and the new dog. With his training and following "homework" training at home, my little guy has gone from violating most of the Geneva Convention to being a happy gentleman. I cannot recommend the Canine Mind enough, and if the other trainers are even in the same ballpark as Steven, then all of them will do absolute wonders for any dog!

He gorged on it, he had allergic bloated within hours and suffered a stomach torsion. She lied to hide her negligence when I ran to her frantic to get the details of the food he ate while he was there. Told me what she fed her dogs but that she never had any on the premisses.. kept lying when I went to Smiths and bought a bag of what she said she fed her dogs (Beneful) and proved he ate the same stuff. Kept lying when I went back a third time (while my boy was fighting for his life at the ER) and presented her with her dry food and a bag of the 'evidence' my boy vomited undigested. I have no words for how devastating this was for my family and mostly Max. My baby suffered agony and because of the time she wasted lying to me and my vet to save her own ass... my dog ran out of time. As a consequence Max had be put to sleep 12 hours after collecting him from his "groom'. Thank god my other 2 dogs she had that day were unharmed. I will NEVER get over the trauma leaving him there and paying and tipping that woman to essentially end his life in 2017 at the age of 7. Adding insult to injury I received a phone call from them recently offering me a discount grooming package for my dead dog. I explained why I would never bring a living creature back there, only to receive 3 further 'individual' calls that day with the same offer for every one of my pets they didn't manage to kill but had on their books. ZERO stars I tell you.. hear zip from the owner not a call a card of an F you! They should close!

I told her he's never done that before ever!! Didn't hear anything so my husband shows up 1 hour later and my dog is soaking wet! They told him it would be 10 minutes to dry him off because he peed again. What? So my husband took him out to pee and noticed his foot was bleeding so back in he goes and they wrap his foot up with the excuse he must have cut it in the kennel. Well on the way home he's bleeding everywhere, we later find out its from his tongue that is split. I call the vet rush him in and he has to have surgery to repair his tongue. I believe they used the pending excuse to keep us away so they could stop his bleeding. Also he didn't even smell like he was shampooed. Never never again!!
