We took my daughter's two dogs to the PetSmart Grooming facility in Riverdale, Utah. They are little dogs and they have been going to the groomers there for some time. They seem to enjoy it because they didn't have any problems with their arrival, their barking, running around, not wanting to be in the place. We were delivering the brothers because my daughter was busy with work and she just couldn't get away. Homer's a brown & white bandit !! His brother is a black and white guy named Wriggly! Please do not ask if it's got anything to do with Chicago Baseball! LOL! All said for two dogs that are really nice and cute the Riverdale PetSmart grooming shop which is located right next to Sportsman's Warehouse and across from the Riverdale Apple Bee's is the only place my daughter has found in the area that does as good a job as we as a family have found! Talked to the employees!! about getting crickets and the employee was talking to another customer about non-business appropriate!! and she was yelling at me to wait!! so, while I waited for 10 more minutes, finally the lady grabs the crickets, and really rude!!! There is an extremely small baby leopard geckos in the same 10 gallon enclosure as a full grown adult. I was absolutely mortified seeing this yesterday, I am so disappointed and disgusted. This is not right and that little baby could so easily be torn into pieces by the much much bigger gecko and either found by a child or others. They keep the leopard geckos and other reptiles/animals in horrible conditions and they are not cared for well. This leads to people buying and keeping them in those same conditions and animals being abused and neglected over and over again. Please, do your own extensive research. everything they will tell you is wrong. Please please report these things and be the voice that these little guys need and deserve. CHRCK EXPIRATION DATES if you buy any perishables from here. They won't do it for you. I bought some canned dog food form here a week or so ago and one box had a different top on it, I didn't notice till I was at the register. I asked the girl if they were the same and she flips them over to look at the bottom where the expiration date is and then proceeds to tell me they are. So I buy it and leave. When I got home I opened the box to feed my dog and then noticed the box that was different was from an older batch and expired months ago. She straight up lied to my face even after noticing it was past the due date. Unless somehow she thought it was the second month of the year. I just went to open another can from a different type of food and noticed it was expired too. Really? Now I have to drive all the way back to get another refund. Thanks. read more

Came back and they made me pay for an additional 25. It's really frustrating to have to pay for things twice after they forget to put them in the bag. read more

I have been taking my Golden doodle, Buffy, here since she was old enough to go out in public. Not only are all the groomers fantastic at what they do: they are kind, knowledge and AMAZING with my dog, they really listen to what you need. The craft the best experience they can for your dog (or cat, I guess). I would say "pamper" is the correct word. I have to tell you a cute story. We went in to my now-regular Groomer, NaConi and she cut and groomed my dog. I was just happy my dog wasn't a nightmare, you know wiggly and whatnot. Anyway, our groomer did go over all the services that she provided when I picked up my Buffy, but I was a little scatterbrained at the time. I got home, was playing with my dog and noticed that her nails were PINK! NaConi got my dog to sit still and be good, long enough to paint her nails! It was something I mentioned in passing when I took Buffy in the first time. So, when NaConi said that "she did her nails", she really went above and beyond. It felt so nice to be listened to, and everyone at Riverdale Petsmart Grooming Department does just that. Thank you! read more

Mary Ann is awesome! I can't say enough about her. Upon checking out she invited me to a free puppy potty training seminar the next day. She had offered me such good advice in the 3 minute check-out process, I was anxious to see what I could learn from her in an hour. Absolutely glad I made the 30 mile trip down again! Mary Ann was so knowledgeable & genuine. She was very sincere in giving me advice & even a notebook for notes. I felt she really cared, she even took the time to help me select a few items from the store that have been very beneficial. I felt like I had a personal shopper! I will be doing all my animal-related shopping there! I'm most impressed with how she made me feel... hopeful, excited, understood, validated & encouraged. Someone who can connect that well with customers deserves a raise! She was GENUINELY helpful. Ok store online service they are very slow I placed the order took about an hour to get there and then went to get some drinks and then had said drink remade and order still not ready waited another hour called they said it takes over 2 hours sometimes longer for order to come thru their system if you need it sooner than 3 to 4 hours go inside or better yet Order from amazon and just save yourself the trouble and get it next day if ordered early don't use online or curbside wait lol pick up I only ordered 1 small item read more

Dropped my dog off for grooming yesterday. When I picked her up, they gave me the paper to bring to the register to pay for the service. So the front of the store is narrow and congested. And unfortunately the one open check-out register was 8 customers deep. So while I stood in line to wait, I was going to check in on Yelp and was pleased to learn PetSmart has a $5 off deal on Yelp specifically for the salon service. They eventually opened a second register and I broke off to that line. When attempting to use the Yelp coupon, the young girl at the register stated she couldn't use it if there wasn't a bar code to scan, which there wasn't. I asked to speak to a manager and learned the manager was the girl on the other register (with the blue hair). Manager said the same thing about the bar code. When I pointed out the fact this was something PetSmart actually set up on Yelp themselves.... and that they couldn't NOT honor their own offer, the girl on my register located a scannable $5 coupon for something unrelated and used it for me. Came here to have my papillon groomed, which I don't do often. They always take great car of my dog and make her look so cute! This time I had her trimmed to a 1" fur length all over and she looks adorable and is super soft! I recommend coming here for dog grooming services, especially on short notice and for a far price. read more

We have had the worst experience! My husband and I adopted a dog 2 weeks ago at the Rivedale location. We asked before we adopted her if she had any health issues and were assured that she was healthy. So we adopted Molly and asked for her rabies and vaccine records which were conveniently were not there, but the woman told us she should mail them to us on Monday two days from then. Two weeks later I called her again for the 2nd time trying to get them and she hasn't even looked for them yet. The day we took Molly home she was coughing and proceeded to throw up all night. The next day at 5am we had to take her to the Animal ER because she had green snot pouring out of her nose and could hardly breathe. Molly could not even lift her head she was so sick. They gave her some fluids and medication and told me to follow up with her veterinarian. We took her to Banfield pet hospital in Layton and they were outraged that they would sell us a dog this sick and told me she probably would make it in the next 2 weeks because she was horribly sick with pneumonia, and by the way she looks she was sick before I got her. And the veterinarian also told me that this was the 3rd case of pneumonia in dogs from these adoption agencies he has seen in the last month. I called the person I adopted Molly from and she denied her ever being sick and told me I was wrong. Even when I told her that the vet confirmed she has pneumonia and could not have had it spring up over night she still denied it and still has not looked or found her vaccine records and probably won't ever send them to me. I get that sometimes things get past you but the fact that she just told me I was wrong and sounded like she was accusing me of lying, instead of saying sorry what can I do to help this situation makes me believe that she did mess up and didn't get her checked up before she adopted her out. It cost us $600 within the first week of adopting a dog from them, and it is my understanding that when a person adopts a pet, you are adopting a healthy pet. People fail to realize that just because they are an adoption agency does not automatically make them any better than a puppy mill or mean they are taking care of those animals. This location is very clean and all the staff is very helpful and polite. We go to the puppy obedience training and he loves interacting with all of the associates. The trainer Denise, is super friendly and knowledgeable about training and using different techniques with my dog. Every time I come into this location I have a great experience. read more

We brought our 5-mo old Havanese here for her first puppy cut on December 22nd. Jacen was Rosie's groomer. I was so impressed with how sweet and gentle she was with my little pup. Jacen was so patient with my fidgety little girl and she looks so amazing! I must say that I observed such professionalism and gentle care from all the staff who were busy grooming other dogs. I will bring my other dog here for her next groom! I have no doubts that my dogs will be well taken care of! read more

Petsmart has very inexperienced groomers. I have a Pomeranian and after seeing a girl here SHAVE a Pomeranian, I will not be coming back. Anyone that has a Pomeranian knows you cannot shave it! read more

I will give two stars because they do usually cut my animal really well but I will never go back. My pups appointment was at noon and they told me he would be done no later than 3:30. I understand some dogs don't behave and you can have set backs but she didn't pull my Pom out of his cage until 3:12. She had him cut and done in about 25 min. Why was my dog just sitting in your kennel for 3 damn hours? Probably because you guys over book yourselves. It's unhealthy, they go through so much stress and you literally just gave him a bath in a 3 hour time span. Never again read more
