    New steering

Took my 2005 Rubicon jeep in for some upgrades. Lockers gears axles, correction brackets steering ball joints . The crew at summit was great to work with everything on the jeep was dialed and fine tuned before it was returned. This will be my go to shop. I would recommend these guys no matter what you drive.

I hired Summit to do a pre-purchase inspection on a 2014 4Runner. They found several minor issues which I used to negotiate a price for purchasing the vehicle. Shortly after, I found out the parking brake wasn't working at all. I figured it just needed adjustment. Later I went to adjust the brakes and during the process I discovered the brakes were soaked in axle oil. I took it to a repair shop and it was diagnosed to have leaking axle seals and a broken parking brake cable. The brake backing plates had oil on them and were caked with dirt, a clear indication the seals had been leaking for some time. The pre-purchase inspection showed the parking brake passed the inspection. This could not be true. Also there was no mention of the bad seals. I got estimates for the repairs that ranged from $2100 to $3300. I went to the manager, Shad Kennedy, and presented the problem of how the parking brake and axle seals were missed in the inspection. I showed a photo of the saturated brakes. His response was this all happened during the 4 weeks that had passed since I purchased the vehicle. I have attached the photo I showed him. Cleary that is not fresh axle oil. I asked if they would help me with the cost of the repair by providing the labor if I pay for parts. His offer was to do the repair at fleet rate and 10% off parts. I ended up paying them $1300 for the bearings, seals and brakes. They couldn't fix the cable during the 2 days they had it in the shop, so I had that done elsewhere for another $800. Total cost for repairs was over $2100 out of my pocket. What started as a fair deal for the vehicle ended up being a very bad deal, all because they missed the obvious broken brake cable and leaking seals. They refuse to acknowledge any liability for their oversight. How can you justify charging $200/hr when you can't see something so obvious? You don' t earn that rate sorry to say.

The new features were a bit overwhelming to start with but Pablo answered each and every question (sometimes the same question twice) with courtesy and knowledge. We were and still are very impressed with this gentleman. I recommend him highly! We told him we wanted to look at Jeeps before making up our minds and he did not try to persuade us to stay, instead he wanted to know what we thought both pros and cons About the 2 different vehicles. We chose the Bronco over the Jeep mostly because nobody helped us at the Jeep dealership until we walked into the dealership and asked to see a salesman. The salesman there was pushy and not helpful at all, (the Jeep did not fit our needs). We went back to Pablo and he worked with us again with different options and colors of vehicles until we finally chose a beautiful green Bronco Sport. We test drove it again and decided this was what we wanted. The dealership test drove our trade in and gave us reasonable prices for our trade in as well as the new Bronco. We were then introduced to the Service personnel, then the financial officer and completed a painless transfer of tags and paid for the new Bronco. Everyone we ran across at the dealership was courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. We drove away that day in a new Ford Bronco Sport and have enjoyed the car as well as the experience. I HIGHLY recommend Pablo and Galpin Ford in Prescott. The experience was enjoyable, efficient and pleasant, THANK YOU Pablo and Galpin Ford! Charlie

However upon receiving our truck back, they forgot to close our hood and it nearly flew up on us driving home. That was what prompted me to write this review, even despite the poor communication and service recommendations ( they recommended things that were clearly brand new/replaced, and completely missed obvious ones ) sadly a 0/5 experience. If they weren't the only ford dealership in town for recall work we would have listened to the town and avoided. I'd recommend a PHX dealership for recall work or Findlay Subaru, as they do work on fords and have great service.

When I bought the vehicle, I was told the 120,000-mile service had already been completed. Yesterday, I took my Subaru to the Subaru dealership in Prescott for what I thought would be a simple oil change and tire rotation. That's when I had the pleasure of meeting Michael Collon, my service advisor. To my surprise, Michael discovered that the 120,000-mile service had never been performed. What I expected to be about a $100 visit suddenly became a nearly $1,000 service. I even called Kia, hoping it was just a paperwork error and that the service had actually been done, as they stated when I bought the car, but not entered into their system. Instead of trying to help, I was simply told there was nothing they could do and that "we never said that". I'm sure Michael could see the disappointment and stress on my face. Having to unexpectedly come up with that kind of money was overwhelming. That's when Michael truly went above and beyond. People often say they were "treated like family," but that phrase genuinely applies here. Michael treated me the way I imagine he would treat his own sister--with kindness, compassion, and a sincere desire to make sure I was taken care of. He never made me feel like just another customer. Not only did he arrange for all of the necessary service to be completed that day, but he also provided me with a loaner vehicle so I could keep the appointments and errands I already had planned. He made what could have been an incredibly stressful day feel seamless and manageable. When I returned, my Subaru was ready, the service had been completed perfectly, and then Michael surprised me again by giving me a 10% discount on the service. I was honestly blown away by his generosity and professionalism. Every single person I interacted with at Subaru was friendly, down-to-earth, professional, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Subaru, with their kindness helped ease what started out as a very stressful situation. My experience at Subaru is a stark comparison to my experience at Kia in which their sales people adorned with all their thick gold jewelry and their attitudes that dripped with greed aimed at misleading us to simply sell the car. However, because of my experience at Subaru, I will never take my vehicle anywhere else for service. And when it's time to purchase my next vehicle, I'll be buying it directly from this Subaru dealership. Thank you, Michael, and thank you to the entire Subaru team for your exceptional customer service, compassion, and integrity. You turned a difficult situation into one that reminded me that there are still businesses that truly care about their customers. I highly recommend Subaru to anyone looking for outstanding service.

There were other options, but they were obviously optional and were not included and I made sure to tell them it was not something I was interested in. Every other dealer I talked to added LoJack or something else I found no value in, immediately in to the sale, and stated that it was "mandatory". 2) When I asked for a video walkaround, he gave me one right away. Other dealers in California just never got back to me. 3) We came to an agreement on the trade-in price with very minimal back and forth, and the value was fair. 4) Gave my information by text so 90% of the paperwork was finished by the time we got there. Made the 4 hour trip from Las Vegas, test drove, and waited a minimal amount of time to go to finance. 5) Leon in finance was friendly and very upfront with everything such as rates, extended warranty options, etc. 6) Chris took the time to sign me up with the Chevy app, and made sure On-Star was working. 7) Rob (Internet Sales Manager) was obviously busy but kept checking in on us every so often. The experience was clean and as good as a car deal could be. I would recommend any one in the Prescott area (or Las Vegas for that matter) to come here for a purchase. My opinion - as long as you're pretty direct with them, just state that's all you want in return, and it should be smooth sailing. Thanks again Casa!

A local told me about this shop close to their home, however their only experience was with an oil change and when it had different management which I didn't find out till after it was too late. I have to say that everything about this shop was unprofessional. My vehicle was in their possession for over a week after the check engine light came on, overheating alert, and the vehicle wouldn't start. They were baffled as to what was wrong. They tried replacing a plastic part and kept me updated up to that point saying they were unable to pinpoint the issue. Finally they called to tell me they CHOSE to change out the starter and attempted to charge me $1,100- this was done without my authorization and without providing me with a quote or options for a starter. When I complained about being blindsided by this I was given this condescending response, "well you wanted your car to run didn't you? I mean we can take it back out and give you back a car that isn't running...". I felt manipulated into going along with he work they had done. After pity from the actual owner, they called me back to offer a discount and they charged me $500. I reluctantly paid for and picked up my car and of course within a couple of days the EXACT same issues occurred and the car wouldn't start. Ultimately, the issue was a frozen engine and I had to take it to another shop to get the full scope, details other finding of the vehicle that Auto Max couldn't figure out over the course of 2 weeks. Later when I called Eric the manager to discuss the matter, he immediately became defensive raising his voice and told me that I wasted their time by bringing my car back to the shop after their attempt at putting in a starter didn't resolve the issue)?! So I guess bringing in a vehicle that is having mechanical issues is beyond their scope of practice and additionally you'll be wasting their time by doing so. I was later told by the local tow truck driver who took my vehicle to a more reputable shop in PV that AUTO MAX in PRESCOTT does TERRIBLE WORK and they've towed many cars from there only to bring them to other more reliable shops. Again, please don't fall into the trap I did! Please take your vehicle somewhere else if you want professional and trustworthy work performed.
