This morning I was dropping my kids off at the bus stop -- which happens to be right in front of this business -- and an employee (or owner) came out and rudely told me "you know this is a business, not a bus stop." For the record, it is a bus stop. It's ridiculous that I can't park for literally five minutes to make sure my kids get on the bus safely, especially when the shop doesn't even open until 8 AM. There certainly wasn't a line out the door waiting to get in, and judging by other Yelp reviews, there likely won't be. Instead of being rude to parents trying to keep their kids safe, maybe focus on customer service -- it seems like that's already an issue here. If you just can't handle that the bus stop is in front of your business at 6:55am, I suggest you call the school transportation system and complain instead of being a crab. read more

I can't say enough great things about Dan and his crew. I moved up from the valley 30 years ago and have been a faithful follower/customer ever since. I have referred him to many and they have all been delighted. I worry that if I tell too many he won't have time for me. Ha!! Took our SUV in for a routine service, but didn't know that they only accept cash/check until I walked up to the shop for my appointment. No cards of any kind, which seems a bit outdated, and being new to town, we wouldn't have known to ask. Seemed to do good work, was on time, communicated well, and I could tell the shop cares about providing the right information for the customer to make an informed decision. Not sure we'll be back though, since tempers started to flare when parts were delayed, office/waiting room wasn't clean at all, and they had a sign in the office that said if you miss an appointment for any reason without giving 24 hours notice, they'll never do work on your car in the future? Hard to tell whether that was legit or sarcastic based on their other "signage", but not going to risk getting on their bad side after what I experienced. read more

This was my second experience with Dan and Joey at Fastlane. Once again, they were great. It did take a few days before I could bring my '73 Bronco in. But that was no surprise. Dan's vast automotive knowledge and great labor rates make 'Fastlane Performance' a very busy place. Dan fixed the Bronco in short order and even spent time trying to save me some money on parts by asking the vendor to replace them under warranty. Unfortunately the parts were 4 years old, so no luck. Oh well. Again, great experience and will use Fastlane Performance again if the need arises. Also, Joey who runs the office is great and does so much more than just answer phones. While I was there, in between scheduling customers and checking them out, Joey took a moment to step out of the office to add fluids to a customer's vehicle. I highly recommend them. read more

Being new to the area, I was in need of a good mechanic and was recommended to Fast Lane by a neighbor. I made an appointment over the phone with Joey to bring in my 73 Camaro for carb and suspension problems. Dan personally diagnosed the issues and gave me an estimate for the work that needed to be done, which I thought was fair. An additional appt. was set up to get the necessary parts in and do the work. Dan and his shop guys took care of everything as promised and even replaced a leaking gas line free of charge. I asked him if he worked on imports too and he said absolutely. So a couple days later I brought in my 300zx with starting issues and Dan immediately diagnosed as a failing fuel pump. Brought it back in when the part arrived and the work was done flawlessly and timely. Dan and his shop are knowledgeable, fair, and easy to talk to. Thank you (and Joey too). read more

Please don't use this shop. I honestly have no idea how they got even one good review. We brought our Yukon in when the lifters failed to get a stage 1 cam installed but they put in stage 2. They had the vehicle for 6 months continuously saying it was one issue after another. We could never get them to call us back and had to physically go up there numerous times. We finally left with the vehicle after they claimed it was good after they replaced both fuel pumps and thermostat and rear main seal. We took it to another shop because it made it home but would not run again once home. Come to find out The head gaskets were blown. Your telling me this is the work you do and couldnt figure that out. Not only that they billed us to replace the coolant tank that had a crack and it was infact never replaced. The other shop had to replace it because guess what still had a crack. They also return the vehicle with no engine covers. Also the coolant hose was up over the engine and had to be taken off and routed back under where it goes. Oh and another, I go to put it in park and the bolts were never put on the transmission shift cable bracket and I got stuck in drive a parking lot and my husband had to come manually put it in park. I would not let them repair a lawnmower. read more

If I could give this company a negative review, I would. My Mother-in-Law had been taking her car to Dan at Fast Lane Performance for years. Her fuel pump went out and he repaired it. However, on her way home her air conditioning would not work (it was working fine prior to having the fuel pump replaced). She returned to ask him what happened and why her AC was not working. Dan exploded at her. Now mind you she is 84 years old. Dan started cussing, ranting and dropping F bombs as the woman in the office and other mechanics cowered in the corner. Dan screamed at her and told her to never bring her car back to his shop again. He said he was tired of working on her car and working on it was going to cause him to have a mental breakdown. She ended up in bed for two days because she was so upset. She actually thought he was going to call her and apologize because she had been a loyal customer for so many years. An apology phone call never came. What kind of a man does this to an 84 year old woman? It was aggressive, mean, unprofessional and very uncalled for. Dan is nothing but a bully! read more

He was cussing the entire time and said on the 26th that he is closing the shop and selling his business because he wasn't a good and mechanic and that he doesn't trust his work anymore because he can't figure this out this all happened today Just updating my prior review with Fast Lane Auto Dan he told me to bring my car down and he would do everything to make it right that he was sorry I brought my car down again he worked on it for 2 hours problems still there not solved it took off the motor mount that he thought was the problem t the old Mount back on the he told lady inf ront of me he told her that he was giving her a refund that he couldn't figure her car out and that she needed to take her car and go she asked him if he was going to replace the dash and put it back together and he said no he gave her a refund that's all he's doing that he's closing up shop he's done that he can't figure out cars anymore that he has bad suppliers selling bad parts and that he is done because he said he wasn't a good mechanic cuz he can't figure anything out anymore right after that he told me he couldn't figure out what was wrong with mine the problem that was created after he put in the struts and that I just needed to take my car and go he was closing his business that he was not going to be a mechanic anymore because he has too many problems and he can't figure them out anymore that he has lost his touch not only has he lost his touch but with his yelling and screaming the man's lost his mind this was the most awkward situation I have ever been in when I asked about hit my refund he just said you just need to get your car and go I'm done I'm done I'm closing my business I can't figure anything out I can't figure out the problems I'm done so I ​ ​left him he was cussing and yelling the whole time said closing on the 22nd of this month read more

After Galpin quoted me approx $1500, a friend told me she only trusts Fast Lane in PV. I came & sure enough about $860 AND Dan here said they missed 3 of 4 engine mount cracks! He just showed me the first two & OMG! It doesn't take long to figure out he's good people too. He & Joey clearly care & take pride in their work & honest service. I'm SO glad to find them. Just had my first experience with Fast Lane Per, and I was very impressed. Within 5 mins of bringing my vehicle into the garage, Dan, the owner had diagnosed the problem. I was beginning to understand why there is a waiting list to get into his shop. Dan's knowledge is a rarity and is something I hope he passes on. Even though Dan and I are clearly on opposite sides of the political fence, I would and will use Fast Lane Performance again. Unless that is Dan reads this review and realizes I'm "one of them" and bans me from his shop . Either way, you can't go wrong with Fast Lane, especially for those of us who still drive older "classic " cars. BTW, Joey who runs the office is a dear. Another excellent experience with Dan and the Fast Lane Performance team today. Had my oil changed, fluids and belts checked, etc. Some required maintenance work completed. Service was quick and efficient. The cost was fair and reasonable. Dan does a thorough inspection to be sure everything is spot on with the vehicle. As I said before, customer for LIFE!! 20+ years ago I was working 2 jobs, one of them was making and delivering donuts. I was at the end of my route when my old '72 Ford's died, at 5am, on a Sunday morning. Long story short....a friend of a friend said he knew a kid who was working out of his house repairing cars and he would call him. About 8am Dan drove up and started troubleshooting the problem. My points were fried so he went to NAPA (of course), returned and popped those points in and fired right up. Best troubleshooter around too. He loves what he does and does it right. I mentioned to him a few weeks ago that he could raise his hourly rate some and still be very competitive but he said he always wants to provide the best auto repair for the lowest price. Parking sucks. If you can get in the parking lot you might not get out. Very dirty and stinky office. I was treated like an idiot. He thinks he's the only one that knows how to work on a car. Less than one star. I hope you get the point of this. I had alot of work done and spent alot of money with them. They will not stand behind there work or fix what they do, even if they created the problem. I was told they have so much work comming in that they won't even look at my truck let alone fix it. I had one thing fixed and got It back with a more sever problem. He made the point that they don't want to waste any time on my truck and they don't need my money. He said weeks before that it's not about the money for him it's about my safety and wanted me happy. Well that wasn't even close to the truth. I'm 3 months into this battle when he says he will cover his work for 1 year. He has been very smug about the whole thing when I have given him the chance to fix it. He has offered me some money back. About 2.5% of what i spent with him. Again two point five percent. Does that sound fair. That dosn't do me any good at all. What's the point. I already spent 10 times that at another shop to find out the fast lane is the one that created the problem. Of course that's my opinion and my side of the story. The reviews are true. I was treated poorly. They didn't seem interested in listening to the problems I was having with my car. I would start to tell him the problems and he would talk over me. That seems strange to me. I had a hard time getting a word in. The owner talks so much I had a hard time getting away from him once he got started. The office is standing room only so if you have to wait it's not fun being a sardine. I stood the whole time waiting for him to help me and all the other people. I'm not sure why he was so popular that day. Only 4 people at most can fit in the waiting room. Only 2 people can stand at a time. It was very dirty and cramped. felt awkward like being in a small elevator in the ghetto. the parking is just as bad. I was there to get my car fixed but I couldn't leave my car there. There's no parking anywhere. I had to walk over from down the street. If I left my car there how would they find it? I would have to draw a map for them. Then where would they park it over night. I read a sign on Fastlane's door that says they take no responsibility for damage or theft to any cars in there parking lot. If you could see there parking lot you would understand that damage to any car is almost a guarantee. Zero stars for them. read more
