We live over an hour from the kennel but have loved the facility and all of its amazing staff so much we refuse to even attempt anything closer. We have used Blue Ridge for both training (field and obedience) as well as just basic boarding many of times now. The quality of genuine care, attentiveness and communication from staff has been above and beyond! The love for the dogs is felt instantly and radiates when you are greeted by Rebecca and Caitlin in the office/kennel. Dropping your pup off for any length of time in never easy, yet somehow they've melted away any of those hard feeling and both our dogs absolutely love them! The expertise, patience and professionalism from Steve and the rest of the team in the field/obedience work has been incomparable! Everyone truly takes the time to get to know you and your dog, and works as a team to make sure both your dog and yourself are on the best path to success. Both of our dogs have returned home from every stay at Blue Ridge Kennels happy, loved and with so much progression in obedience/field work!

I forgot to bring my dogfood back and Rebecca was kind enough to drop it off at my house when she was in town. The online reservation system makes things really easy. Near the freeway, it makes drop offs en route to the airport easy.

I came across a mention of Furfield Pet Place on Nextdoor and contacted them to ask for information. Mark got back to me quickly and we set up a meet and greet for the very next day. My dogs did well during the meet and great and Mark gave me a tour as well as answered any questions I had. I felt very comfortable with the information and his home and knew it would be a good fit for my dogs. His prices were also very good and he had me fill out an intake form that also made me feel comfortable that they wanted to know all about my dogs to make sure they were well taken care of when I was gone. Mark sent updates and pictures multiple times per day and I always knew how they were doing. My older dog usually is quite depressed and miserable when boarded and seemed to be doing great! I was set to pick them up the next morning after I got back and I overslept! Mark was very forgiving about that which was also appreciated. I definitely will be using Furfield Pet Place for my pet boarding needs in the future. My dogs comfort is so important to me and the fact that they clearly felt THAT comfortable speaks volumes to me.

Murphy's Canine B&B responded quickly to my inquiry and their prices were very fair. We are SO GRATEFUL to have found them! We went on vacation and so did he! He went to a house where Murphy lives (Yorkie dog) and basically moved in for 10 days. He played with all of the dogs getting boarded there. They have a fabulous yard where the dogs play and run, they get a doggie pool, toys and then in the afternoon they all go inside and nap wherever they want to be.... on the couches. Lazy boy, floor, bed.... WHEREVER! That is so awesome! Chief was well taken care of and had a blast being there... I could not have asked for more. Bran is our 11-year-old senior who had never been boarded, and Frankie (aka Potato) is our 15-month-old Goldendoodle, so leaving them for almost two weeks was a BIG deal for this fur mama! Before our trip, Jessica, one of the managers, made sure the boys had meet-and-greets, daycare visits, and even an overnight stay so they could become familiar with the staff and the staff could see how they adjusted. I loved that they took these extra steps instead of simply accepting our dogs for boarding. It showed me that the dogs' comfort, happiness, and safety truly come first. Their secure drop-off/pick-up process also gave me peace of mind. During their stay, the boys had potty breaks, daycare, playtime and socialization, and we received daily messages and photos. Seeing them happy while we were away was so reassuring. I was especially worried about Bran because he's our cranky little senior , but the staff clearly knows dogs and how to work with different personalities. Bran and Frankie even shared a suite together, and they did great! After almost two weeks, we picked up two happy, clean, great-smelling pups with no signs of stress. Honestly, I don't think they missed us--they were too busy enjoying their own vacation! A huge thank you to Jessica, Lily, Samantha, and the entire staff for taking such wonderful care of our Bran Muffin and Frankie Potato.
