They were very clear on the terms of agreement. They have showed up every time I asked even when the schedule is full they figured out a way to get me in. They have this great app that sends you notification when the walk is finished. It tells you how far the dogs walked, and the walker makes note of if they went to the bathroom or had treats. They also take pictures of the dogs and send them to you. When I was gone on vacation, it was such a treat to get the emails and text messages and see that my pups were being well taken care of. Barking Meow - specifically Jen - is absolutely incredible. We have only been using her services for a little over three months but are already convinced that she is one of, if not the, best in the area. She is flexible with schedules and easy to coordinate with. Her first visit to meet our dog and cat and get a feel for our home/neighborhood gave us great confidence in going with her to help care for our animals. She visits our dog regularly for walks or indoor play and the follow up messages with notes and pictures are such a great touch. While on vacation, she visited multiple times to visit our cat. We didn't know if he'd come out to greet her - he's pretty independent as cats tend to be - but Jen has that magic touch and got some of the greatest pictures and playtime with him. If I could give this company ten stars, I would do so without reservation. They are basically the only service I would use. I have an active German Shepherd and a super shy cat. The quality of services they provide really gives you peace of mind while you're away. As other reviews have noted, you get pics of your pets each day as well as a tracker for when your dog is being walked. They even managed to find the hiding places of my cat (lol) and sent me photos, just let me know she's okay. I was recently out of state for almost two weeks and felt at ease the entire time because Jen and Brian provided such wonderful care. I can't believe this service does not have more reviews. I have always relied on friends and family to care for my dogs when I have to go out of town. However, my dogs and I just moved to Vacaville and no friends or family in the area. My first order of business was to find someone to care for my dogs while I am out of town! I found Jennifer through the dogvacay website, it really was just a plus that she is also a licensed pet sitter! I knew that being new to the area I was not interested in leaving my dogs at their own home and having someone come over to let them out a couple times a day, I needed to know they were safe with someone watching over them, most boarding kennels only allow you to have two dogs in one kennel and I have 3 dogs and I really did not want one of them to be in a kennel by themselves. I feel so very very grateful that I found Jennifer. She does boarding in her home and she was not put off by my 3. We arranged to do a meet and greet at her home where the dogs would be staying. We met resident dog Baxter, who is a good little guy and so patient! Jennifer has a beautiful house and secure yard. She was not put off by the energy level of my pack, we made the arrangements for my upcoming trip. I still had my hesitation about leaving the dogs with strangers but after the first night away I knew I had gotten very very lucky in finding Jennifer, she is FANTASTIC. Twice daily photo updates, and with each update I was able to relax a little bit more knowing my dogs were in good hands and also I knew going forward I would never again have to search for someone to care for my dogs, Jennifer will be that person.
