We cannot recommend a pet sitting business, or any business really, higher than Furry Murray. Helen and John have been watching our furry family members since we moved to the area in 2019, and we are so thankful for their patience, communication, and level of service when it comes to our pets. When we first met Furry Murray, we had two very senior pets. Both required more attention, and often timed medications, when we left. Instead of worry, we always knew they'd be in the best hands while we were away and that our pets would be thrilled to see them. Now, we have two new additions to our family, and they too love the Furry Murray team. Daily, we receive video and photo updates, as well as any photos of packages arriving to the home, etc. It's a relief to find someone who cares for and loves your pets as much as you do. We've never once questioned that with Furry Murray and, again, cannot recommend them enough. read more

Furry Murray cared for our twin kitties while we were away for a vacation. We had never left them and were very apprehensive about putting them (and our home) in the hands of a "stranger." Furry Murray has been the best stand-in carers for my puppy that I could ever ask for! Lots of research went into choosing who we would allow to care for our puppy while we are in office 1 - 2 days a week, and Furry Murray come out on top for both cost and being insured. The stop by potty breaks are a life saver, and I cannot wait until my little lady is a bit older and can join the fun at daycare! Helen and her team (family!) have been a pleasure to work with, the scheduling app is easy to use, and the pupdates are my favorite :) Thank you Furry Murray for being so great!! read more

Furry Murray - Pupdates from a Furry Murray always give the pick-me-up I need, either through video or photo. - Pet Sitting Near Me

FURRY MURRAY is the best place I have ever left my dog Benny. A last minute situation meant that I had less than 24 hours to move to a new city, start a new job, and find a daycare for Benny. The Murray's were there for us the whole way. They accepted Benny just hours after I contacted them. Their obvious love of dogs made that transition so much easier. Benny is always excited to be dropped off in the morning Twice daily photos and videos sent to my phone reassure me that Benny is in the best hands possible. You can trust your furry baby with the Murray's completely. They are the best. read more

This review is looooong overdue. Helen and John having been taking care of our pup for the last 2 years and I can say that when I go on vacation, Zuko also gets to go on vacation. He loves being at Furry Murray. They send pictures and videos everyday which ease my mind when I am traveling Furry Murray also provides daycare services which I like to book whenever Zuko needs more socialization with other dogs. It's always easy to book and communicate with them and are very attentive to our needs. We rely on Helen and John so much I couldn't recommend them enough. read more

Recently moved to the area and needed to establish pet sitters for our two pups. Seen their van in our neighborhood almost daily, made it a no-brainer to reach out when we needed overnight dog sitting. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Thoughtful "pupdate" videos and pictures. Our pups were well cared for and relaxed staying at home while we traveled. Appreciate the top notch service provided by Furry Murray. read more

I was driving down N.Texas and ended up right behind their van! I thought their name was super cute so decided to check them out. I first heard about Furry Murray in 2018 from my coworker. She raved about how much fun her pup had, but at the time I didn't have a need for doggy daycare. But I kept them in mind. Fast forward to 2021. I had just moved and my pup Kuma has been experiencing extreme separation anxiety and escaping the yard! The process was really simple. I gave Helen a call and told her I was interested in doggy daycare. She told me general information and emailed me the application. I sent in the application and my dog's vaccine records. A week or two later was Kuma's first trial day at Furry Murray! Helen texted me that morning and let me know she would be able to receive Kuma early if I'd like to drop him off sooner. She also gave a helpful description of her house. I was very nervous leaving him since his first time with my friend resulted in him pacing and jumping into their pool. But Helen reassured me. She texted multiple photos and a video (pupdates)! I definitely felt more at ease and knew my pup was in good hands. At pick up Helen told me how he did (well with other dogs but shy with people) and suggested another trial day to get him comfortable. The second trial I opted for 7:30am - 5:30pm. My full work day. Again I got photo and video pupdates. Kuma was definitely happy being able to play with other dogs all day. And I had peace of mind knowing he would be cared for by great people! Well worth the $25 a day. The third time Helen offered Furry Murray munchies (homemade cookies) and chicken jerky. I opted to purchase some cookies. Kuma loved them! I'm so glad I reached out to Furry Murray! read more

We have put off vacations and traveling because we hate to leave our little fur baby, Bay Lee behind. We were so happy to find Furry Murray. Bay Lee spent 6 days there this past week. She was able to stay in a comfortable home environment . We were able to enjoy our trip without worrying . We enjoyed seeing the pup dates and how our baby was doing each day. When we picked her up she was happy, healthy and smelled great from the bath we asked Helen to give her. We were so blessed to find them. I highly recommend Furry Murray ! Furry Murray - Our little girl, Bay Lee. - Pet Sitting Near Me

We recently moved to the area, and with limited support, needed to find a reliable pet sitter. For some context, my 5.5-year-old cat had never been left alone so my stress levels leading up to vacation were super high knowing I would be across the country from my little furbaby. I found Furry Murray through an online search. I was optimistic because of their online reviews and my meet-and-greet with the owner (Helen) reduced my pre-trip anxiety significantly. In preparation, I installed cameras so I could monitor my little one for peace of mind. I received daily video updates from Helen that were both thoughtful and entertaining. Although I expected my little one to hide, based on my video stalking (haha) he appeared to be living his best life, resting in his usual places and playing with toys. By the 2nd day of our trip I was able to settle into relaxation once I saw he was officially in good hands. I credit my little one's ability to manage the stressful situation to Helen's thoughtful approach when working with him. Her videos showed her ability to know when to provide support and when to give my little one his space. Overall, I couldn't have been any more satisfied with Furry Murray's pet sitting services and highly recommend them without any hesitation. We are already looking forward to our next getaway, which I'm sure will include significantly less stress. :-) read more

Furry Murray - Max and Marley a day at Furry Murray - Pet Sitting Near Me

I gave Furry Murry 5 stars, but truthfully they deserve more. Six years ago we fell in love with a mother dog named Zoey from a local breeder. She was being retired and she was the sweetest animal I had ever been around. I don't think we realized what a huge life change this was going to be for her. She was so sweet, but completely terrified. I took a week off to get her settled, but needed to go back to work. I had met Helen and arranged for her to walk Zoey while I was at work. Zoey loved us, but everything was new to her and she was initially terrified of Helen and everything else. The first day Helen came to walk her she hide under the table and cried. Helen was so very patient teaching her how enjoyable walks could be. Helen never gave up. She called her "Eeyore" because she was always crying and scared. After several months of hard work, Zoey fell in love with Helen. For the next 6 years Helen was always there for walks and overnights. Helen has not once canceled and I could always depend on her coming and updating me on anything I needed to know. She even took Zoey with her one day when I was at work and there was a fire in our neighborhood. I never worried for a moment when we went on vacation because Zoey was thrilled to be with Helen and John. Toward the end, Helen would just come take Zoey out in the backyard because she was not able to go on walks any longer. Even though she couldn't get around very well, she was still thrilled to see her Helen. Helen loved our Zoey like she was her own and she made all of our lives so much better. Furry Murry is the absolute best. read more

Helen was amazing!! She was able to take care of our three cats at short notice, and did so with care, kindness, and humor. She's super responsive, punctual, a good communicator, and clearly loves animals. The photos and videos were adorable and so welcome, and we were happy leave our fur babies in her capable hands for four nights. read more

There are ONLY positive things that you can say about Furry Murry, from my initial phone call to set up a week stay for my pup, to using Furry Murray's services multiple times for just doggy daycare during our home renovations - they will LOVE on your pup, and treat them like family. You get daily updates (PUPdates) with videos and photos of your pets, and you can really see how much fun they're having. They offer many "amenities" for your pup - and mine came home smelling AMAZING after a great bath and his Batman bandana! Their prices are more than fair for how well your pup is taken care of. I couldn't be more happy with Furry Murry and would recommend them to anyone that wants to ensure their family member is taken care of and is in safe hands. read more

Furry Murray - Happy pup home after a few days with Furry Murry. - Pet Sitting Near Me

Extremely unhappy and disappointed with the way my situation was handled with them. Very unprofessional. We were consistent customers twice a week (2 dogs) for the last few months and were treated terribly. With no prior knowledge of any behavioral issues with my dog we were notified, out of nowhere, that one of my dogs could not attend daycare anymore. We were told that he "gets antsy in the house", a behavior that we never have seen, and that he is "too needy". Every day they attended Furry Murray we received multiple videos and pictures of our dogs NEVER showing said behaviors. In addition, I brought my dogs home Tuesday and they were extremely anxious and acting out of their normal character. I reached out to Helen and she told me nothing had happened. Thursday we were notified 30 minutes before pick up time that he was not allowed to come to daycare any longer. I brought him home and he was exhibiting the same anxious behavior. Very suspicious that it played out in that manner. Don't bring your dogs here. They do not communicate what is going on with your dogs and will unprofessionally discontinue business from loyal customers without notice. In response to the owner: Like I expressed to you, the problem was never that Rex was not disturbing the group. We understand that if our dog is doing something to disrupt we either would remove him or work on whatever the issue is at home. The problem is not being given any prior notice/communications of the behaviors you are referring to. Your customers that are paying you also have the right to be notified of any undesirable behaviors by THEIR dog when they happen, not the day you decide to discontinue service. Unprofessional. read more

Furry Murray is wonderful in every way possible! They did an awesome job taking care of our dog. Our experience has been 5 stars since our very first interaction. When we first inquired about services, Helen was so patient, friendly and thorough. I can't tell you how refreshing that was in itself. She answered all our questions, explained the services, and more! Our pup just did her overnight trial, and we felt so at peace the entire time. We truly loved how happy our dog was in pics, pupdate video and especially when we picked her up. The booking, payment, communication was all seamless! They even have a portal - like wow! I can't express how relieved we are to have found the best of best in this area for our dog to stay when we are out of town, wanting to socialize her or even get a shampooch. We highly recommend Furry Murray. I can only imagine that they are the trustworthy help you've been searching for. Furry Murray, what you offer is simply amazing Thank you so much! Furry Murray is the best! In March of this year, I needed someone to take my pups out for potty breaks in the afternoon, feed them dinner and take them out for their evening walks while I was out of town (my husband works until 9pm). I was a little hesitant to have someone else other than my parents take care of Kai and Umi, but Furry Murray did not disappoint! They are so gentle and patient with my pups. They sent us pupdates during the potty breaks and walks which I loved. Since then, I have requested numerous potty breaks from them and am satisfied with all they have done for us. Needless to say, I will continue to use their services! Thank you Furry Murray! Here are pictures of some of the pupdates we received.... read more

I have a Great Dane. I recently sold my SUV for a BMW. Those two things do not mix. I tried it and within 5 minutes she'd destroyed the leather and coated my black interior with white Dane hairs (little pieces of wire basically). I needed someone to take my dog, "Harlow" to her sitter in Benicia for a very long vacation to Texas. So, from Vacaville to Benicia and then again in 2 weeks. I contacted Helen after reading about her on Yelp in hopes that she'd be up for the challenge. We did a meet and greet and she showed me her transport van. It's especially made to transport dogs. Rubber floors, leash hooks, her logo visible on the outside, very very clean too! She was super sweet, funny, down to earth and professional. She quoted me an EXTREMELY reasonable rate ($6 a gallon for gas mind you) and we did a weekend test run. She came out and got Harlow in the pouring rain and stood out in the freezing cold waiting for me when it was time to bring her back. After the first successful test run we did it again a month or so later. Easy peezy lemon squeezy. She got Harlow there and back safe and sound and was able to handle Harlow's stubbornness and high energy anxiety. I'm SO glad I found a transport service to help me with Harlow. Now I don't have to ruin my expensive car, or worry about getting my dog to and from the sitter. For those of you wondering, I didn't use her to dog sit bc 1. I'm committed to my sitter in Benecia but 2. Bc She doesn't have the capacity for a giant breed dog, especially one that needs constant attention and can't be left alone. Thanks Furry Murray! I'll be calling you again soon! read more

I have not one bad thing to say about this business. So professional but even more so friendly and warm. We've used them twice now and chose the in-home pet sitting option because we have so many animals. Every time we come home our dogs are happy and not anxious at all. They send you daily "pup-dates" with adorable pictures of your fur babies throughout the day that always have us cracking up. You can tell they truly love what they do and not only are your pets taken care of but they're loved on. If I could give 6 stars I would, also very affordable and flexible with your schedule. Highly recommend! read more

Long overdue Had our sweet, over active Pom stay here over a long weekend! Loved getting the pup-dates every day and the fact that dogs were giving the option to either socialize in the yard or stretch out inside. Only regret is that I didn't opt in for the bath at the end, my little guy came home looking like he had a great time. Unfortunately, we've relocated since, but I would definitely suggest supporting your small local attentive businesses before making the drive to a big box pet hotel. read more

What an incredible experience and service Furry Murray provides! TL;DR Helen and John are wonderful people and we're so lucky to have had their support and care for our pup on our wedding weekend. HIGHLY recommend! The Long Version: After our regular sitter was fully booked, they recommended Furry Murray and we couldn't be happier. On short notice, John and Helen made time that fit with my schedule to meet our large breed Rott/GSD mix. After a thorough meet and greet in which they got to know me, our dog, and share about themselves, we scheduled a series of visits and even a taxi service to my and my wife's wedding event in Moraga, a one-hour one-way drive from our home in Vacaville. Each visit was on time within the window we requested, came with text messages, pictures, and videos, and fell within the specific parameters with set (our pup is still recovering from knee surgery and needs multiple short sniff-walks). The taxi and chaperone service with Helen was all that we could've hoped for. She arrived in plenty of time for the ceremony and even got to hang out with the wedding parties before it started. After staying for pictures, she brought McCovey home for us, as well. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Furry Murray and, even though they were a fill-in after our regular sitter was booked, we will definitely be back in the future! read more

Extremely disappointed with the owner's unprofessionalism. ALERT, they will end service with NO warning, NO communication, and NO notice! I have 2 dogs that were happy here. During their two visits a week for approximately 4 months. I would receive all "positive" videos, pictures, and communication about their behavior. Never did they communicate one of my dogs was getting anxious and barking resulting in disturbing the group UNTIL the day I was informed VIA TEXT he couldn't come anymore with NO PRIOR notice of any issues occurring. Consequently this left me high and dry without doggy care. Extremely unprofessional how this was handled. We are so glad we found Furry Murray. Helen and her husband are absolutely amazing! My husband and I are the kind of people that treat our dog like our child , so when the time came to go on vacation for a week (the longest we've ever been away from him) I was so nervous about finding a sitter. Helen is great with communication, I got an update, a few photos, and at least one video per day. Our dog is a picky eater (I was so worried he wasn't going to eat at all) and she worked hard to make sure he ate, even if that meant giving him food we didn't provide.
