Tried this Vietnamese Thai restaurant while on business in Saskatoon. Had the vermicelli house special and the strawberry shake. The vermicelli house special was just okay but the spring rolls were excellent. The strawberry shake was thick and very tasty... they make an avocado shake which is supposed to make quite good as well. Service was good... lots of people having takeout. Restaurant has a rather "homey" feel about it... which didn't detract from the experience. Just was hoping that the meat in the vermicelli had a bit more flavor. Would probably go back again and try the Pho instead. read more

Yum! Thank you Yelpers for helping me find fabulous Vietnamese while in Toon town. Yes, the avocado smoothie was fabulous! I'm a vermicelli girl and I found the meats a little bland here. They were good but I prefer stronger flavored. The fish sauce comes in the bottom of the bowl here - I prefer to mix hot sauce in mine before dumping in my bowl. If I get a chance to come back, I will def give the salad rolls a try! Staff were friendly, service was prompt despite being busy, and the plane was clean :-) Two thumbs up. read more

This hidden gem in Saskatoon totally surprised me and got me going back again 2 days in a row right before I left town. First of all, the avocado shake was unbelievably yummy. It was creamy, smooth and slushy while you can taste avocado in the drink. It is a healthy alternative. The drink was not very sweet which was perfect for my liking. The special fried rice was very tasty with all the shrimp, chicken, beef and pork evenly stir-fried with proper seasoning. The chef must be very skillful with his wok. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside with pork and vegetables filling. The waiters and waitresses were very pleasant and helpful. If you are not too hungry, you are going to love this. If you are hungry, you will love this even more as the service was super fast! read more

Came in for a quick lunch and just ordered their House Special Vermicelli Bowl. It came out super fast and was bothered very yummy and very filling. The staff are very warm and friendly and the dining room, and what I could see if the kitchen, was spotlessly clean and actually pleasant. Come in and give it a try. read more

My favourite little Asian restaurant in Saskatoon. Tina is super helpful and the food is always amazing. They offer Gluten free which is huge as my wife is allergic and has never gotten sick from eating here. A lot of places say they can accommodate gluten allergies but Summer Roll does it right! Stopped in on my way through the city and was quite impressed with the quality of food. The service was quick and friendly, and I was very impressed with both the freshness and flavour of the food. I had a pork roll pho and it was a decent sized bowl. The broth in the bottom was quite nice. Vermicelli was well cooked, as was the pork roll. I'm a sucker for good meat and this was great. My friend ordered the Chinese dinner for one and it was good as well. Sort of your classic Chinese food - rice, chicken, etc. I also had an avacoda shake and it was delicious. Happened upon this restaurant while in Saskatoon for a national volleyball tournament. It is family owned and operated with fine precision. Visited twice in two days with groups of 10 plus each time. They are very busy during the lunch rush but still managed to serve the crowds promptly and professionally. If I owned a restaurant I would hire away their entire staff. The menu includes a broad selection of Vietnamese and Thai dishes. I enjoyed their house special vermicelli bowl. It includes a selection of lemon grass spiced meats and spring rolls. Wonderful flavours and a generous portion. The second day I had beef satay soup. Mildly spiced but still very delicious. I wouldn't say that their food was authentic of the national cuisines that they represent as they are spiced to appeal to Canadians. This is a great lunch spot that I would seek to return to next time I am in Saskatoon. read more

My wife and I tried this place about a week ago and loved it. We each started with the spring rolls and these are even better than the award winning ones The Red Pepper used to be famous for. These folks are my go-to place for spring rolls for sure. My wife had the chicken vermicelli bowl and she thought it was really well seasoned, fresh and totally worth taking the left-overs home. I asked my server what their spiciest dish was and she suggested one of their Pad Tie dishes that they would then super-charge for me. Mine came with shrimp and a perfect amount of heat for me. Likewise, took home the leftovers and enjoyed them the next day. Since then I've cooked my own version of Lo Mein while my wife slipped over to Summer Roll to pick up a couple more orders of their spring rolls. Second time around was just as good as the first. I hope these guys are successful as I love having this kind of quality within walking distance of my home. Will be back again! read more

I enjoyed the pan fried pork dumplings, but didn't really care for their practice of putting a lot of fish sauce in the bottom of my vermicelli bowl. I would ask for it separately, as I don't care to have nearly that much of it. The atmosphere is pleasant and calm, the service is speedy and polite. Prices seem reasonable. I was in town on business from Vancouver and was looking for somewhere nice to have dinner. Saw all the great reviews for this place and was not disappointed. The Pho broth is very clean and flavorful. The spring rolls were crispy and fresh - no old oil taste like you get at some places. The staff were wonderful. Great food. Had the wonton soup with egg noodle and it was amazing. Not a flashy looking order but the broth was tasty and not too salty or watery.
