Two items here to call out on the reason for one star at this specific location. One: It's 90+ degrees outside and feels cooler outside than inside the building. I was in a few weeks ago and thought it was a one off that it was that hot inside but it still feels like a sauna inside Turn on the AC! Two: Because it's so hot inside we ordered online from car and waited till the time it said it would be ready. Only a few minutes but we apparently watched while they made the drinks unknowingly immediately after order was placed so they were already ready before the time they said to go in and pick up. They have signs that say where to pick up online orders and so I waited there looking for drinks. It wasn't till after they noticed I was standing there that they brought the melting frozen drinks over to me at the pick up area bc they were sitting behind the counter on the other side of the bar. I like this place because they have drinks that taste good so occasionally we are willing to pay the $6.50 for a small frozen drink, but because of the temperature of the building, the price for a melting drink (probably bc if the temp of rm), and lack of attention by the staff I have to give this location only one star. If you want a good experience at a summer moon go to the Fort Worth location! Suggestion for owner. Since you have the ability to submit orders online, you should have comments for feedback on the service after each order so you can make a guest experience better to avoid negative feedback on public forums like this one. read more

Definitely one of the cutest coffee shops in the area. They even have a spot in the corner for small children. The kids and I love artisan coffee. We really wanted to sit and enjoy a beautifully made latte but the 100+ degree weather steered us towards the iced options. We let the barista know it was our first time and she kindly explained the menu. The kids ordered frozen hot chocolate. She explained the full winter Moon was sweet and the half moon was semi sweet. I love sweet so I ordered the full winter moon. It was delicious, but very sweet. I will definitely go back and get the half moon. read more

I absolutely adore this place, even though I live a good 20 miles away I still come by here at least once weekly. The moon milk is so delicious and the ambiance is so cozy. I've gone in as early as 7am opening time to 7pm and there is always several tables of customers working or studying. The employees are always very welcoming and helpful. If you are near the area or just looking to try something different, I suggest stopping by Summer Moon to get your caffeine fix! My personal order is a half wintermoon, as it is less sweet than the regular full wintermoon. read more

I'm sure some of you are looking at my 3-star rating and saying, "What the heck?" But let me explain. Yelp defines 3 stars as "A-OK", and that's exactly what I thought this first visit was, A-OK. I'm not a "foo foo" coffee drinker. I'm not impressed by bells and whistles, nor frosty frozen blended caffeinated beverages. That being said, Summer Moon made a good first impression. It seemed "Moon Juice" was an obligatory ingredient, so after learning what is (basically a sweetened heavy cream), we gave a drink with it, a try. My opinion? Way on the sweet side. Which makes me think it will appeal to those who go for the foo foo drinks. It's just not for me. That being said, I'm sure I'll give Summer Moon another try, but this time avoid the Moon Juice. Although we did not get anything to eat, there was a nice selection. Bottom line: Nice to see a more local option for a caffeine fix. read more

We're always searching for new coffee places. This location is so cute and was packed Sunday afternoon. We ordered our usual Almond Milk Cappuccinos. It was really good and comes in a 16 oz mug (if you asked for a mug). Now I didn't know what to expect with their moon milk. We were able to try a sample and its sooo goood. It is really sweet for me so when I order coffee next time I'm here, I'll get half the serving of the moon milk. read more

We are not from this area, but my girlfriend already is begging me to come back. We are literally 1 hour and 20 mins away from where we live and we already love this place. This place has it own vibe to it and I must say I am very impressed by the place. Walking in, you feel as if you entered a coffee bar that is located in a rich area. The workers were friendly and took time to explain the menu in detail without talking to much and also explained their products and uniqueness. Summer moon has a meaning and do I recommend of asking what the product symbolizes. The environment was pleasant and the music was loud enough to muffle other people's conversation. The standalone tables were a bit unstable but that did not bother is from liking this place. Do give it a try. read more

This place was really trendy and so pretty inside. The staff was really friendly and if you are looking for a great latte, I'm sure this place will be fantastic. I had a sip of my mother's chai and I thought it was delicious. They had great looking pastries and snacks! I had an earl grey macaroon that was fantastic!!! I give 3 stars because I went for a great cup of black coffee and do not feel like I received that. If you are looking for a great cup of black coffee, you will likely be disappointed as they only have one self service pot of one type of coffee. The staff is so welcoming, esp. the cashier she took the time to explain how to order, the unique way they roast their coffee beans and what their moon milk tastes like. The best coffee in the area in my book! The wood fire roasted coffee is something to behold. Every time I go, I love it! This location nestled up in Keller is nice to get out of the young crowd and get more of a family vibe. This is my first time trying Summer Moon and let me tell you, it was delicious. I got a 16 oz Summer Moon latte and it was good. The Summer Moon latte is mostly their Moon Milk concoction with espresso. They also have 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 Moons I believe. Each one just has more espresso with Moon Milk and skim milk. Basically the Summer Moon is the sweetest. I didn't know this going in and even though the coffee taste was good, it was a bit too sweet. I couldn't finish it. Next time I come I will probably start at 1/2 and see how that works. The food they serve looks delicious and the atmosphere is so cute! read more

I love this place! The 1/4 or 1/2 Wintermoon is definitely my guilty pleasure. I wish I could come get one everyday. I come here way more than I should. I even buy a bag of Velvet Blaze and they ground it for me almost every time I come in as well. The macaroons and treats are great too although I try to stay away. The baristas are always so friendly and seem to genuinely like their jobs (unlike at Starbucks) The only thing that would make this place better is a drive thru location or something. UPDATE: 01/12/2020 Came in this morning to make my usual order. The girl at the front had no idea what she was doing and rudely stepped away from the counter to ask her co-worker what it was without communicating with me. She held up the line for over 2 minutes when it was long enough already. After they called my order up, they forgot the pastry item I ordered with it when they handed out the pastry items for the others BEHIND me BEFORE me - without apology or eye contact. This cafe's customer service has gone downhill since it's gained popularity in this area and to be frank, it's not worth the poor treatment. For Pete's sake, it's not rocket science. I had such a good experience at Summer Moon. Let me start off by saying I'm no coffee connoisseur. I like semi sweet iced coffee drinks and cold brews. When I venture in to a new place, I always ask for a recommendation on what to order. The sweet barista explained to me how they make their drinks (summer moon, 3/4 moon, 1/2 moon etc) and let me sample their signature sweet cream. I went with their cold brew with sweet cream. So good! I also tried their GF lemon blueberry pound cake and it was delicious. Not dry or too dense like most GF pastries. The vibe is very chill and inviting. Every other table was roped off in efforts to social distance guests dining in. Still plenty of seating was available and I got a corner of the booth area. There are little bistro sets outside as well. Overall great experience and atmosphere. I plan to come back to try more of their tasty drinks! read more

Love this coffee shop! When I found out there was one in Keller, I immediately went to go try it out. This location is the newest one in the DFW area so definitely come stop by! I've been to the original in Austin, TX and have enjoyed their coffee ever since. I used to live in Frisco, TX, so I frequented that location as well. The baristas here, and at the other locations, are always welcoming and friendly. If you have a question about something, they're always kind enough to properly explain what goes into each drink. If you've never been, they'll offer great recommendations based off what you would like. My favorite of their hot drinks is their Mocha Moon, which is their latte blended with dark chocolate and served with their wood fired espresso and moon milk. Their Coastal is also amazing. It's definitely a little sweeter as it's 1/2 moon milk and 1/2 coconut milk, but it tastes so good. If you're wary to try out these as a first-time, I'd say go for the original Summermoon. It's quite sweet but you can also dumb it down to either 1/4, 1/2, or 3/4 moon if you don't want it as sweet. If you're unsure, they have a large poster that shows the level of "moon milk" per various coffee types. Last time I went I noticed some other interesting options like the Blue Moon Latté, which has lavender in it, and the Honeymoon Latté that includes honey, of course. Definitely want to try those out! They also have a selection of cold drink options that are really good as well. The drinks I mentioned above all come in an iced version as well. The Wintermoon or the Iced Mocha Moon are perfect. If you really need a pick-up, try out the Moon Raker, which has four shots of their wood-fired espresso. Also, their Nitro Cold Brews are awesome and very refreshing, especially in this Texas heat! If you couldn't tell from everything I said above, go try this place out! They provide a true coffee house vibe where people just hang out or have business dates. read more
