This is the best coffee house I have ever been to. The building always feels clean, well lit, and open. The staff is bright, respectful, and competent! I've been going to Summer Moon for four years now, and can not think of a single poor experience. They have also done a fantastic job during COVID... while indoor seating was prohibited, they set up a little booth in their doorway, to continue being accessible to their customers. All the employees are wearing masks, and everything is being sanitized throughly and regularly. There is such a sweet and smart marketing concept behind this coffee shop. They have a special milk, called "Moon Milk." Depending on how much moon milk you want in your drink, you request it using the phases of the moon... A quarter moon, half moon, etc. If you want a cold coffee, it is a winter moon. Just like other coffee shops, they have adopted their own unique language. I love the moon concept as it sets them apart from their competitors. The staff is so kind and helpful. They make good suggestions based on what you like. Their coffee tends to be on the bitter side. So if you like it sweet, add some sugar or honey. Wow! What an awesome place! I came here for a quick meet up with friends from Keystone and the place is super cute and Non-Starbucks like. Having never been here, the girl behind the counter is super friendly and walked me through their "what their famous for" and explanations of drinks. I ended up with a 1/2 moon milk mocha I think. It's very good!! Next time I would go with 1/4 moon milk instead. I also ordered some macaroons because why not? They were very fresh and delish! Almost the best coffee I have ever had! It tastes so smooth and much less bitter than Starbucks. The staff here is so sweet and will happily make suggestions for newcomers. The inside is extremely clean. It does get crowded here, so if you're looking for a quiet place to work, this probably is not it. It's more of a coffee date hangout place (which I love!). Nitro brew is served cold but not over ice and you can order it several different ways. It's cold brewed coffee so less acidic on your belly & more caffeine (which I shouldn't have). I love the Summer Moon coffee shops in Austin. That's where I had my first moon milk experience. I was on a road trip through Austin and my friend and I decided to avoid rush our traffic and get cracked out on coffee instead. Now that they are in Keller, I have to make the drive from Funky Town to get my moon milk fix. I always get the 1/2 wintermoon. That translates to an iced coffee with 1/2 the normal amount of moon milk. So it's less sweet than the OG version, but to me it's still pretty sweet! The staff is super friendly. The shop is actually pretty large and there's tons of room to camp out, have a chat with friends or even spread to the patio. They also have the softest tee shirts, cute mugs & even tumblers. It's super filling and I can't get enough! One day, when I'm no longer in the honeymoon (get it? The atmosphere reminds me of a hipster (but not annoying about it) San Francisco coffee shop. Healthy baked goods, kombucha on tap, and delicious coffee drinks with plenty of non-dairy milk options. The staff is energetic, pleasant and knowledgeable of their products. We tasted the quiche, sausage roll, barbacoa street tacos, and cappuccino made with soy and one made with cinnamon blended almond milk. Coffee is great but customer service could use some work! I order on line ahead, called when I arrived and they let me know they wouldn't bring it out that I need to come in and get my order. I arrived at 925 for a 940 pickup. I was just told at 945 it could be 10 min or longer before my order is ready. I was there for 20 min and watched multiple people come in and order on site and get their drink. What is the point of having online order ahead for a pick up time if you aren't going to honor it. I order ahead so I can get quickly and not have to stand around in a room with 20-30 people for a prolonged period of time. This is a system that needs to be worked on and addressed. I am so pleased. I happened upon this cafe from a food delivery app. I had seen a lot about moon milk on Pinterest and being one that really enjoys coffee I was certainly curious! I took my best friend to summer moon cafe for her birthday are it was more amazing! The best way I can describe moon milk is creamy melted vanilla ice cream.
