I so appreciate the Summer Moon way! I'm a Pacific Northwest girl who has been savoring all things coffee since... well, the obsession started at age 12. My coffee order at my favorite places often take a good bit of wordage to get the perfect cuppa. I have only been to Summer Moon once, but so far, I'm happy with their customization! What you need to KNOW BEFORE YOU GO... They have their own Moon Milk Sweet Cream and you can easily pick your sweetness. No asking how many pumps a specific size drink has and then guessing what your "pump" pick is, Summer moon has Summer moon (all sweet cream on top of your espresso) ¾ Moon (¾'s sweet Cream, ¼ skim (or your choice) milk.. 1/2 Moon (half sweet cream half milk) and ¼ Moon (with ¼ sweet cream and ¾ milk). I got a half moon breve which is great for my level of "sweet drink" and next time I'll likely have a ¼ moon breve for my "typical" drink order. (I'm not a super sweet coffee fan, but I do like some sweet). Look for the Sweet Spot sign on the far wall when you go in for a visual representation. I have heard you can buy moon milk to take home too, which I did not know, so so much to try!!! The Breakfast Burrito's too ... hopefully we can rearrange our budget to go for coffee more often! If you're going for looks, this place definitely has them! If you just want a consistently made drink and quality espresso, you might search elsewhere. Been here 5+ times and ordered the same thing that came out 5 different ways. Subpar espresso at best, which is sad for a cafe that has invested in La Marzocco machines that could provide so much more complexity in the beans. I went to the Edmond location yesterday, and no one behind the counter had on gloves, two had on a mask. Three different employees touched the coffee cup on the rim while passing it down the line. Fun place and unique location. If you love really really sweet flavored coffee drinks, you will dig this place. If you don't prefer excessive sweetness, you can still enjoy but only order 1/4 moon version of whatever you drink you choose. It's a bit unconventional and confusing at first, but briefly they use a sweetened milk (moon milk) in their coffees. Depending on your choice of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, or full moon, defines how much of the milk is moon milk and how much is standard milk like skim or 2%. Trust me, 1/4 moon is PLENTY of sweetness for most you routine coffee drinkers. This means that 1/4 of the milk in the drink is a sweetened "moon milk" and then they add your flavoring, which seems to also be sweetened. Overall, cool place. To help you out, when you walk in, head all the way back to the back of the dining area and then approach the counter, that is where your order. You then pick up your finished drink at the counter portion closest to the door. The place is a little hidden in backside of rail yard but easily accessible from the parking lot. Bonus tip, try the Rail yard Pies place next door, I personally recommend the quiche. Enjoy, but if you choose to get a 1/2 moon drink, don't blame me. read more
