Could possibly be the fanciest restaurant in Corona, but the kicker is average plate is only around $25 including seafood plates. I had the fish tacos and they were splendid. So fresh and satisfying. The alcoholic drinks are on par. The only one thing not on par is their flan. They can do better on the condensed milk taste. I would say it tastes more like water, The rest of their desserts are tasty and fresh. Their staff is very attentive. Management helps out too. Enough room for large parties. I would make a reservation, but my party was over 30 people. I would not go on a hot day because the AC isn't the best during a heat wave. Free parking available outdoors but plentiful. So when I…read morewas out hunting for a nail salon and spotted this gloriously authentic-looking location, I knew she'd absolutely plotz. Naturally, I turned it into a Friday‑afternoon surprise after running the kind of errands that make adulthood feel like a sport. From the moment we walked up, the place had us at hello: outdoor dining with its own bar, vibrant murals, Mexican décor for days, and that classic mission‑style ambiance that screams you're about to eat well. It was a whole vibe. Now, the hostess... bless her heart. She greeted us with the enthusiasm of someone being forced to work on a holiday, which was not exactly the warm welcome we hoped for. But then Angela, our waitress and resident ray of sunshine, swooped in and saved the day. She recommended the flauta, which arrived with a level of spice my taste buds immediately filed a complaint about. Angela didn't miss a beat and had the kitchen remake it to suit my bland little palate. Overall, it was a genuinely great experience, and we'll definitely be stopping by again. Rodrigo's remains Wife‑approved, and honestly, that's the highest Michelin rating in our household.

Unfortunately, the service we received from our server, Christina V., was disappointing and took away from what we hoped would be a special experience. When I asked Christina if the restaurant did anything for birthdays, she simply replied, "Just flan," and walked away. She never asked whose birthday it was, whether we would like the flan, or if I wanted her to put in a birthday request. I was surprised by the lack of interest or effort, especially since I was clearly asking because we were celebrating someone at our table. Throughout our meal, Christina was not very welcoming, engaging, or hospitable. At times, it honestly felt as though our table was a nuisance or that she had some sort of issue with us. We weren't expecting anything extravagant, just friendly service and a little acknowledgment that we were there celebrating a special occasion. Despite our experience, we still left Christina a 20% tip because we believe in tipping our servers. However, we left disappointed by her attitude and lack of effort in helping make my nephew's birthday lunch feel even a little special. The food may bring people into a restaurant, but the service is a big part of what makes families want to return. Unfortunately, for our first visit to Rodrigo's, the hospitality was lacking, and that was disappointing.

We had family in town and needed a last minute reservation on a Sunday for 12 people. The qualifications: AC and delicious food. Panxa Cocina fit all of the above and the entire squad left the restaurant raving about their experience. Our crew shared a bit of everything fried squash, queso, ceviche, enchiladas, and their verde chilaquiles with over easy eggs and chicken. Each of these items were delicious, but I'd return for the ceviche and chilaquiles. The ceviche was a delicious mix of sweet and salty. Their tortilla chips are made fresh in-house and paired perfectly with the fresh cut fish. I was also impressed by their cocktails. With family in town, we visited a number of fan-favorite restaurants across the coastline. Panxa stole the show for best mixed drink: the watermelon margarita. Cons: pricey, but price alone isn't the con. Overly charred/burned proteins (especially the steak), the iberico Secreto not as bad. I actually enjoy the char on a steak, or proteins in general, but here, I'm not sure what the issue was. Is it the kind of wood/charcoal they use? Are they burning the steaks? Is the grill dirty? When I say the proteins were over charred, I mean that's all I tasted on the exterior, just burnt dirty ash. For a place of this caliber and price, I expect execution to be on point. Also everything was borderline too salty. Notes: I really wanted to like this place more than I did. This place was a bit of a letdown I'm sad to say. Factor in price and execution and I've gotta give this place 3/5.

I ordered one of the chef specials: Tacos de Hongo and my mom got Chicken Tinga tacos. In short, I was expecting soooo much flavor from the entree but disappointment met my tastebuds. For my entree I had the Navajo taco which was a giant fry bread topped with red chile beef, beans, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and chipotle aioli. This was a true masterpiece of flavors. The fry bread was like a savory funnel cake flavor. Crunchy exterior and fluffy cloud like interior. The beef was melt in your mouth tender. My wife had hers with ground beef, potato, and green chile. They had a lot of different protein choices. Should have stopped at this point but they had a pumpkin pie filling stuffed sopapilla. There was so much meat packed into each taco that two were more than enough for a filling lunch. For under $10, especially since they also included chips and salsa, I thought it was a really good value. The steak was tender and juicy, but I actually liked the lengua even more. It had a really rich beef flavor and wasn't dry at all. My only complaint was that the lengua still had some of the outer skin attached. The texture honestly gave me a little bit of goosebumps while eating it . I really wish they had removed it completely. Other than that, the lengua itself was delicious. Great flavor, generous portions, and a very satisfying lunch for the price.
