3.5, food and service was good but restaurant could be cleaner.. I was in Miami for a convention and was craving meat so decides to go here for dinner. It was a windy Tuesday night, so it wasn't busy at all. I dined inside and noticed the tables and menu was grainy as if it was on the beach with sand lol. I don't need much attention when dining so overall the service was good and attentive. I ordered beef skewers with rice and salad, it was more than enough and I ended up packing about half the plate to take with me.

Looooove it! It's a classic at the beach! Best middle eastern food ever, delicious, everything is great! The service is wonderful, everyone is nice , the ambience is cool. This time I order a delivery and it was fantastic. We have been their costumer for more than 20 years and they are always on point and never disappoint! You got try them don't miss out!!!

Don't let this plate fool you And if you have a spouse you might just fall in love . So they may get jelly

Another late night adventure looking for a bite to indulge in. And I'm so glad I found sultan or did sultan find me. Either way the service was like the name suggests. You get the sultan treatment. The hostess was very attentive and made sure I felt like home or an honorable guest. The ambience is the best cause you sit right outside Collins. I and my tastebuds was in alignment that day. I had the chicken pita with fries and dammmmmmm son where you find this " Kept repeating in my head . New fav to pass by when I'm on the beach Thank you sultan for treating me like one Food 5/5 Location 5/5 Service 5/5 I tell it like it is And sultan you are it The foodie ninja will return

Three stars adequately sums this place up. Friendly service, but food is average. My gyro plate was ok, but nothing to write home about. The salad was too soggy and tomatoes and cucumbers were disintegrating a bit because they had been sitting in the dressing too long. The fries were good. The gyro meat was ok, not the best or most flavorful I've had. Some outdoor seating. Good for a quick bite in Miami Beach.

Located directly across from the Lennox which is where we stayed; this was a convenient spot we tried out for lunch. The restaurant itself is not much of a looker. It's small and could use some TLC and they also have an outdoor patio. It was way too hot to eat outside so we sat indoors even though it wasn't that much cooler in there. The server was really nice though. To eat we ordered the house special which is basically a plate of all their meats. It comes with two sides which we chose salad and fries. They also give you pita which is fresh and soft. Everything was delicious! The portion was perfect to share and the variety was nice. My husband loved the kofte but my favorite was the gyro meat. On one walk they have pictures with all the celebrities that have visited and there's quite a large amount. Considering the food is good as it is I'm not surprised!

Late night food (4th meal if you will). The staff was somewhat not cohesive in the orders but overall okay. Not big in the automatic 20% tip on a counter order.

Eh ... it was okay . My husband liked it better than I did . It's very expensive and they charge you for bottle water . Not fancy bottled water , just bottled water . The dishes were $25 a piece . We had 2 people in our party and the bill was $75 . They were friendly and all that but I wouldn't eat there again . Actually , I'll be brutally honest , I ordered some meat thing, it was 4 chunks of meat that were a weird red color . I felt nauseated eating it . I didn't like it AT ALL . The rice and salad was good but the meat chunks were nasty . They were cooked fine but I didn't like it . You know I'm not even sure what kind of meat this was . I have no idea if it was beef or lamb or what . It was unidentifiable. The service was good , they were fast and clean , very nice ... I could have let them slide on the meat but the bottled water pissed me off . $3 a piece .

First time here! We literally walked up to it and went in. The host/ waiter was outside and greeted us as we walked in. Amazing service! The food was amazing! Very good comfortable vibe. I got the chicken wrap and there was So much flavor in every bite! def recommend!

A little local place located cross street to our hotel. The reason why we stopped by at the 1st place. Not fancy, regular little restaurant. Ordered 3 espresso coffees and one cappuccino and it was ok. They don't provide any water, so if you need it, you have to pay for bottled one. Besides water, we ordered gyro wrap. Can't say it was bad, can't either say it was the best thing I ever ate. Average but decent. French fries included and it is good. The waitress was kind, but a little bit put a pressure on us to finish everything quickly. I understand it , but... couldn't feel relaxed .

Food was perfect, I love Shish kabab the most, great lamb flavour, rice was chewy, buttery, very tasty. Side salad and sauce was also great. Wish there's more meat and sauce in Gryo wrap but for the price it's not bad at all. Tabbouleh was very fresh, mild acidity which I prefer. Very nice, patient and friendly servers. Will come back when we visit Miami again.

Its location makes it ideal for a relaxed dinner after a sunset walk, and the ambiance leans into that cozy, family-style hospitality the region is known for. We kicked things off with a generous mezze spread, a highlight here and consistently praised in reviews. It included creamy hummus, eggplant-based dips like baba ghanoush, beetroot, yogurt spreads, and a pepper-eggplant mix, all paired with warm, fresh pita that kept coming out just right. Sipping Turkish tea in the Miami heat somehow worked perfectly, it was refreshing in its own way. For the main, I ordered the Iskender kebab, a comforting, flavorful dish of gyro-style meat over pita, finished with a light tomato sauce. We also tried Efes beer, a crisp Turkish pilsner that balanced the meal nicely. Despite us being a group of 10, Barış, our waiter, handled everything with impressive attention to detail, something many diners mention about the service here: attentive, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. To top it off, dessert was on the house--a creamy almond and pistachio pudding that paired beautifully with a strong Turkish coffee. A thoughtful gesture that really sealed the experience. Between the vibrant flavors, the inviting atmosphere, and the consistently praised service, Kalamata delivers a family-friendly, authentic Mediterranean night out that feels both elevated and relaxed. Several dishes landed squarely in the "looks better than it tastes" category--pretty, but surprisingly flavorless. At those prices, you expect at least a little wow.
