Complimentary anniversary dessert.
Daemon W.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Sullivan's Steakhouse in Charlotte and had an outstanding experience. Sade, our waitress, provided excellent service, and Jason, the manager, was very personable and attentive. From the menu, we both ordered The Sure Thing--shrimp & lobster bisque, herb brick chicken, and New York style cheesecake--and everything was delicious, especially that chicken! They even gave us a complimentary anniversary dessert, which was a thoughtful surprise. I highly recommend Sullivan's Steakhouse for any dining occasion.

Date: November 13, 2025 Time: Around 6pm Staff; Friendly Ambiance: Very nice inside and a little upscale Food was very good. I really loved the sea scallops and the sweet potato casserole. The dynamite roll was good just really big and kinda spicy. Our waiter Michael (Mike) was so awesome. He answered our questions and made sure our experience was good. Overall, I had a great time and good food. Definitely would love to come back. It was my first time there. It wasn't as busy until later because it was on a Thursday. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

Came to Sullivans last night for my friends birthday dinner, reservation was at 9:45 we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. It took our waiter awhile to come around but we placed a few orders for apps and drinks. We ordered our main courses at 10:30 pm and orders were not received until after 11:45 pm now the restaurant was not that busy at this time. There was no apology or anything offered for the extreme delay. My steak was absolutely a bit dry but i was starving so overcame. Sullivans only allows for 4 cards at the maximum on the bill. So it took forever to get that worked out. Overall not the best experience for a steakhouse that I've been to a lot over the years.

Top tier service from the Hostess, to the bars, to the table. We went to celebrate something personal and everyone in the team made us all feel safe, secure, and loved. Shout out to Amber, our server, for making our table so empowered! For food, Sullivan always deliver. They also have their $49 3 course deal that make choices easier. Their steak is cooked perfectly and their cocktails are all on point

Why Sullivan's? Because sometimes you just want a steak that makes you stop mid-bite and say, "Wow." That was our experience. After a great day at the PGA Tournament at Quail Ridge, I wanted to celebrate Mother's Day and my wife--who also happens to be my best friend. We walked into Sullivan's a little early that Friday evening and were warmly greeted, then taken to a cozy spot I call the "high rise"--a few steps up with a great view of the main dining room and other plates coming out of the kitchen. Our server, William, was top-tier. He knew the menu backward and forward and had some great suggestions that hit the mark. We shared the BLT Salad made tableside (a fun touch), then went with the 12 oz Prime New York Strip and the Filet. Cooked to perfection. The sear, the flavor, the tenderness--just what you'd hope for in a top steakhouse. We paired that with brussels sprouts and creamed spinach--both solid, but the creamed spinach is always a must at Sullivan's. The GM, Jason, even came by to check on us. That kind of attention to detail makes a difference. I told him we'd be back--and I meant it.

I went to sullivans for a GNO and we were all really disappointed. The steaks were overcooked and looked like 3 ounces. I didn't even get a pic but they were so embarrassing. My seabass was freezer burnt. I actually sent it back and even the manager was like um yeah this is not what we serve and was so apologetic. He actually had them make me a new one which was much better but by the time I got it everyone else was done eating and had to leave. They also brought out lobster bisque as an apology for the long wait but I'm deathly allergic to lobster so that could have been really bad. It took FOREVER to get a glass of prosecco and I asked for a second time and they ended up being me out two glasses lol. Just seemed like a lot of miscommunication. It was a Wednesday at 5 so they weren't busy. I've heard so many great things so I was definitely disappointed but I would try them out again for sure. The manager was so great at trying to fix things but the kitchen and bar just were struggling apparently. Oh it was also absolutely freezing in there and all of us were so eager to leave just bc we were so cold. : (

Had a great time here overall. The beef wellington bites were hands-down the best thing I've ever put in my mouth--they're so good they really deserve to be a full entree rather than just an appetizer. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, exactly how I like it. Unfortunately, the lobster mac & cheese was a bit of a letdown--too runny for my taste. Our server, though, was super knowledgeable and friendly, making sure everything went smoothly from the moment we walked in until we left.

Yes, Costco has led me here because of the gift cards. The lobster bisque was rich and delicious. The Chilean sea bass and the crab fried rice came out lukewarm. The sea bass was delicious with the sherry soy glaze. The crab fried rice was pretty much mediocre. Nothing stood out and was plain. The bartender was friendly.

Tomahawk on a plate. Looks nothing like the pictures the restaurant uploaded.

Disappointing Experience at Sullivan's Steakhouse I had high hopes for Sullivan's Steakhouse, but unfortunately, my visit was underwhelming from start to finish. First, we waited about 10 minutes before even being acknowledged by a server. When I informed them about my dairy allergy and asked if I could get a steak without butter or dairy, it seemed like a major issue. I also inquired about dairy-free side options, and the staff had no idea what was available. We ordered two types of Old Fashioneds, and one came out almost clear--pretty sure they forgot the bourbon. Then, I ordered a $100 steak, expecting something well-presented, but it was literally just thrown on a plate with no garnish. To make matters worse, no one checked on us after the food arrived. We also waited 25 minutes for someone to clear our plates. No one around us had great service. The environment was stressful, with the bartender loudly slamming dishes into a bus tub the entire time. To top it all off, despite my request for no butter, I'm fairly certain they still used some because I ended up with a severe stomachache. I also found some shredded cheese on the plate with the potato. The only redeeming part of the night was the manager, who was kind. But overall, the lack of attention to allergies, poor service, and chaotic atmosphere made this a disappointing experience. I usually leave great reviews everywhere if you check my Yelp account but this one was SO bad that it couldn't go unposted.

I'll start my review off by thanking our amazing sever Liam ! Great sense of humor and personality. He made my birthday dinner special. I was able to choose my own dessert! Creme brûlée was amazing! But lets talk about the juicy New York strip filled with flavor. The garlic mashed potatoes are great as well. My favorite was the shrimp and lobster bisque and crab stuffed shrimps ! Liam also got me signed up for their rewards program as I do plan on visiting soon to explore more items on the menu!

Booked a table at Sullivan's for our 13th Anniversary. From the outside, it looks very small, but has a very intimate setting on the inside. Only Valet parking, but it is complementary. Menu consists of signature steaks and seafood, with shareable sides. Drink menu is nice as well. I had the 8oz. Filet and it was cooed perfectly. My husband had the Cajun Ribeye and it was huge. We shared some of the lobster Mac n cheese and the lobster au gratin potatoes. Both were delicious! For our anniversary, they treated us to a free desert and we chose the cheesecake. Perfect choice! Jada, our waitress was incredible. Very knowledgeable of the menu and made a few wonderful suggestions. We felt like VIP's in her section. A definite must try in the Charlotte area and make sure you ask for Jada!

This place blue my mind…read more I was visiting my best friend while in town for a conference on amusement ride standards. We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. Monday night, half price wine by the glass or bottle, all of them on the list! Love when they do that without limitations. So we went with a glass of champagne! Because why not when it's half price! Service was excellent , and the food just awesome . So fresh and delicious. The menu here is so nice and varied with so many options. We started with the prosciutto carpaccio, paper thin prosciutto with olive oil, and fresh Parmesan and fresh greens, white balsamic and hazelnut. This was amazing, just yummy. The roasted mushrooms, come on a sliced yogurt, with verde hummus, and sumac onions. Again so flavorful and so many different things going on in this dish. Highly recommend this. The short rib bolognese. A fabulous small plate, but plenty for two . This sauce was so good with the fresh grilled bread they serve. The pasta was perfectly cooked, spinach flavored. Truffle ricotta, and crispy prosciutto on top, nice pieces of short rib too. This was an excellent dish. We were truly full so had to pass on dessert but we did get a after dinner espresso martini, called the Salud! A Spanish table toast, peppermint infused tequila, espresso, licor 43, coffee liquor and creme de cacao. Served frozen, this tasted like an Andes mint. Perfect after dinner drink. I hope this stays on the menu! So good. I'm so glad this place is still going strong and busy on a Monday night! I love everything about Chapter 6, such a great spot.

We started with the Prosciutto carpaccio and the Whipped Ricotta appetizers to share. Both of those were pretty good and the bread that came along with it was good too. It was grilled and nice and crispy. For drinks, one of my friends ordered the rosé wine flight, I ordered their house red wine, and my other friend ordered wine as well. The wine selection was good so we are pleased with that. It was our main entrées that we ordered that we were not pleased with. For example, I ordered the steak skewer, which I understood would be a small plate, but when it came out to find that it was just one skewer was a little bit misleading, and I wish that I had ordered something else because that was not enough for my dinner. Our server didn't come back to check on us after our food arrived so I wasn't even able to add any more small plates. In addition, my friend did not enjoy her pasta at all, and I tried to bite, and it was not good. Only my friend who ordered the Bolognese pasta was pleased with her dinner choice. Due to our server not coming back to our table to check on us and also didn't really give us suggestions of what to order or how to order I wasn't very pleased with our experience. I don't know if I would come back because honestly, the meal was pretty mid for how expensive it was priced. The inside of the restaurant is cute and the patio as well but the food is mid and expensive for the service to be so poor.
