    Cheese Sticks

I ordered to go. I ordered the cheese sticks, double meat burger with bacon and fries. The bun of the burger was slightly stale & the fries were as well. I usually would have informed the cook. However, I was coming during closing and I just looked at my order to make sure everything was right, so I was already at my destination when I started tasting the food. However the burger meat & cheese sticks were decent, nothing that produced a wow factor, just pretty standard in terms of being bland. I was slightly disappointed & oh I forgot they did not include my sprite. I will probably give them another try though.

Gave this burger joint a shot and stopped by this place for its high reviews. The Place was small with outdated furniture. Ordered the old fashion 1/2 pound burger basket. Staff was nice and friendly. The buns was soft and fresh. The burger Patty itself is mediocre and tasted like an oversized high school cafeteria burger. Overall I give it a 6 out of 10. Worth trying but probably won't be back.

Hole in the wall that gets good reviews so I had to try it. I was slightly disappointed. The burger is not that great in my opinion. The fries are not that great in my opinion. It really is a hole in the wall and you could miss it as the doors are covered with newspaper. A bunch of people visit it so maybe I'm missing something but I honestly did not understand the appeal.

Was in the mood for some cheap greasy food and this hit the spot. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was my favorite and I also like the chili cheese hot dog. The food is not anything special but super enjoyable. They've got burgers and other snack foods too. The owner was very nice. It's just a small little restaurant. Wish I knew about it sooner.

    Burger and Onion Rings

The burger was solid. The 2.5 onion rings were tasty but 2.5 onion rings. They have to do better. Also worth noting, the cashier taking the order was very slow. Don't stop here if you're in a hurry.

Suko's is a no-frills burger joint in the Second Ward / East End, and while I don't eat burgers or hot dogs anymore, their fried rice is what I'm there for. Aside from burgers, hot dogs, and fried rice, you'll find fried fish and shrimp baskets, chicken tenders, egg rolls, corn dogs, chili dogs, tater tots, onion rings --- imagine, all of your fried favorites, but from a local biz and not a fast food chain.

Had to come try a cheeseburger at sukos and they did not disappoint at all . What a juicy and flavorful burger. The fries were delicious too. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. Can't wait to go again.

This hole in the wall hamburger place is pretty good. The hamburgers are fresh and savory and the meat patty was average sized. The fresh fries are on the bland side and could use some seasoning. As soon as I placed my order, they started cooking and preparing my order. However, the employee did not provide us with napkins on our to go order. I missed the previous owners, but this place is doing just fine. They also can do more improvements on the building and cleanliness.

Unpretentious local hole in the wall serving one of the best burgers I've had in Houston. Easy to drive by, the signage barely noticeable and I may have missed it but for GPS. Prices are fantastic, I am honestly shocked they were not busier. Took my two youngest and both loved their food. The decor and ambience are minimal but you're not here for that, you are here for the food.

    Saturday its also burger day!

No frills, and old school place to eat a classia burger or chinese fried rice. The burger joint has bees a staple for the neighborhood as long as I can remember. Traditional and classic as burgers can get. I always chose this place over chain placea to support our local neighborhood.

Burgers, fried rice, egg rolls, wings are good here. Price is right and the food is delicious. Owned but a Korean couple super cute and awesome

Something simple that should be an easy win. Unfortunately, everything leaned the same direction: either it was heavy, over-sauced, or overly garlicky. It tasted more like dressed-up frozen food than something thoughtfully prepared. And listen...I don't mind indulgent. But there still has to be balance and fresh food. Fresh like it was raw and delivered today, not fresh like fried in the last 15 mins. When everything is coated, covered, and competing, nothing actually stands out. The drinks didn't help either. They leaned hard on alcohol without much flavor behind them--more "this will get you there" than "this tastes good." Nothing was terrible. But nothing made me want another bite, either. And with seafood, that's kind of the whole point. The atmosphere is friendly, great music, and the service was very attentive. Even the presentation wasn't bad. It just wasn't enough. But at some point, you stop asking what's missing and just accept that it's not landing. I was still hungry so I went next door hoping for a better experience. I want to be clear: It's not bad. I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try the Oysters Rockefeller... and let's just say they weren't my speed. They weren't bad, just not for me. Cochinita & Co caught my attention because of owner and chef Victoria Elizondo who was a James Beard semifinalist, Culture Map chef of the year and her restaurant was ranked as one of the top 100 in Houston. The restaurant is located near EaDo and is easy to find. It's in a small strip of businesses so parking can be tight when it's busy. We came with about 30 minutes left for breakfast before they rolled out their lunch menu. There was a few tables of people enjoying their breakfast, but the place got really busy about an hour into lunch. Customer service was great. I needed help making some ordering decisions and the staff steered me in the right direction. I specifically came for breakfast. I started off with an iced Horchata Latte. This drink was excellent. You got all the flavors of a traditional horchata with the cinnamon while still having the coffee flavor present. It was a very well balanced drink. For my entree I went with their popular chilaquiles. They said this is their number one seller for breakfast and I could totally see why. I went with the red chile salsa for the spicy version, but you can also get it with a salsa verde. It comes with black beans, fried egg (you can request a different cook if you desire), crema, queso fresco and green onions. You can add a protein for an additional charge. I added chorizo to mine. Chilaquiles is not something I ever order but I had to try it here. I am so glad I went out of my comfort zone because this dish was amazing. Now I've had bites here and there of chilaquiles but was never blown away, hence me not ordering it. The chips were coated throughout and kept it's crunch through the whole meal. All the components of the dish worked in perfect harmony. I liked mine with the chorizo addition. The egg was nice and runny and I would consider adding another egg next time. It was a generous portion and a heavy meal, but I powered through the whole thing because it was so good. They had a nice display of baked goods and I could not pass up the pretty cinnamon roll. I got the last one and it looked very promising. It ended up being just ok. They served it room temp so it ate very dry. It would have been good if it was heated up and gooey. We ended up wasting most of it. Overall, this visit was long overdue but worth the wait. I'm still thinking about the chilaquiles a week later. I will most definitely be back to check out more of their menu.
