I recently moved back to town and was excited to try this spot because it reminded me of a shop I…read moreused to love on W Capitol Ave. Walking in, I was happy to see a similar menu and felt nostalgic right away. Unfortunately, the service didn't match my expectations. After waiting in line, the woman at the register finished helping the customer ahead of me, then walked away without acknowledging me. I stood there for a bit until a young man noticed and kindly stepped in to take my order. I really appreciated his attentiveness and friendliness. While waiting for my two hibiscus lychee green teas, I noticed some confusion behind the counter. The employee preparing the drinks couldn't find the green tea and had to keep asking the same woman for help. She eventually took over, but the drinks didn't taste right. There was no green tea flavor, or lychee only hibiscus (I'm not saying she didn't add it, it didn't taste like it.) Honestly, the bigger issue for me was the lack of customer service. The previous location I used to visit always felt welcoming, so this was disappointing. A simple acknowledgment like "I'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. That said, I DO want to give credit to the employee who stepped in and helped me--he was polite and attentive. As for the woman with short hair, I hope she works on her customer service approach. I may come back to try the ice cream since I think it's Gunther's and that's always a safe tasty choice, but I likely won't be ordering the iced teas again. March 18,2026 @6:58ish pm

The people helping us were so fast and kind. We asked them what we should do later that night and they gave us good recommendations for out-of-towners. Our ice cream was delicious. I got the kid size Oreo! It was so good. We ate our ice cream in their back patio. They have a tarp and some picnic benches for their customers. There's an afghan market next door where we got bread to-go! It is a perfect spot!

Stopped by one Saturday afternoon for a mother and daughter impromptu date brunch before my baby…read moreshower in West Sac. Loved treating my mom to a new experience! She ordered the Quiche Lorraine and raves about it daily. She also ordered an ice tea with cherry limeade that was so refreshing. It seemed much more like a small bite sort of place which maybe it is but... I don't know what they do with their food, but oh my God everything is so filling. Like I really don't feel like I ate a lot of food at all, especially comparative to some of the breakfasts I usually stuff down my mouth. I'm like uncomfortably full right now. We both got full And I've got a bunch of leftovers in the fridge. What I liked: their bread was really, really good. The bread they used on the ham and cheese sandwich was really tasty and it really made the sandwich. The croissant I got ....the walnut croissant super tasty and probably one of the better croissants I've had in a while. The ratatouille which I didn't think would be a good for breakfast was super tasty. Super rich, but really nice. What I didn't like: it is straight up criminal that the two slices of bread were extra with that ratatouille. you absolutely need that for dipping. Go ahead and include it in the price, but there is no way in hell that should be extra. Ham was only half warmed but that's OK... It was fine and part of me is happy that someone didn't have to stick their finger inside my sandwich.

Estelle is a great local choice at DOCO, they offer great coffee, tea, pastries and savory bites…read more I typically only stop by this location when I'm at DOCO for another reason, like an event at the arena, but Estelle is a great stop for any occasion. They have some indoor and outdoor seating and it's a great date night spot or quick stop to pick up a drink and a bite. On my latest visit I popped in with some friends and we ordered some of their desserts and a loaf of bread. I took home a chocolate mousse cake and it was both beautiful and delicious. I dont have photos of what I got for valentines day but remmeber them being ok but nothing mind-blowing Maybe its just the DOCO one that sucks but I went to give them another chance the day before mother's day and sorely regretted it. I got the matcha croissant ive been hearing about, the new blueberry cream croissant and the mango passionfruit entremet. The Croissants were a huge flop. Blueberry had barely enough filling inside-the cream itself was tasty but croissant was rough in texture and not flaky. Matcha was a bit more flaky and had more filling-I wouldn't say GENEROUS amount as some have said but maybe I just got a bad one. The cream was too subtle -it was more like vanilla with a hint of matcha. The entremet was the only one that didnt suck-it was delicious but again I wouldn't say anywhere in Sacramento has wowed me yet with their entremets compared to places in the bay except for the ones that ginger Elizabeth has had in the past-the flavor itself was on point, i will say the texture of the entremets have a majority layer of the jelly part-if they could perfect the variety of layers you're supposed to get in each bite I would be more impressed as thats the whole point of enjoying an entremet. Honestly I should have just gotten one pastry to try in one day as they are pricey-i paid 31 not including the tip fot my pastries, and in this economy one cannot waste that much on disappointing sweet treats lol

Inexcusable in the cereal game, like really.?. Was alot of corner cutting, alot of young kids acting unprofessional & being super slow. They need to keep up the esthetic with touch ups instead of letting it get so run down & dirty looking. Way too over priced for all that bad quality adding up. Was actually pretty embarrassing having my kids bday party there. Wishing them luck on their new launch in June, I'm happy to support a women of color run business. Get it Girl!

As a student, I was eternally grateful for the outlets under the tables as well! I tried the Abuelita hot chocolate and some cookies. Con Azur Cafe and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience…read more Their cafe de olla version was terrible. Café de Olla is a classic Mexican coffee that offers a well-balanced blend of coffee, cinnamon, and brown sugar, often served with heavy cream to give you a comforting and energizing boost. Traditionally, it's even served at funerals as families celebrate the passing of a loved one into a better life. It's meant to be warm, rich, and meaningful. However, the café's version was far from that. The counter staff overpromised their Café de Olla, but it tasted terrible. When I asked to switch to a mocha because of how bad the coffee was, their friendly smile quickly disappeared. They didn't offer a replacement or try to make it right. Instead, I had to pay again for the mocha just to finish the coffee break with my wife. Very disappointing experience. It was an easy decision not to come back. If you're going to sell poor-quality coffee, at least stand behind it and fix the problem instead of charging customers twice. Promotes well in facebook- HELL NO not again.
